I do not want to give the impression that this is a negative review, as it is not. It's just that this place was obviously hard hit by the pandemic or some other circumstance. I understand it will take some time to get back to it's pre-covid condition. It is obvious that they are not growing all the fresh food they once were, and the majority of the cottages are in dire need of repair from sitting empty. It appears to be a ghost town compared to what is shown on their website. However, the site is amazing. It is set in a very peaceful, relaxing, and remote area with tremendous views. You are surrounded by tropical plants and nature. Spot monkeys, pigs, and chickens running about along with various birds and listen to the frogs at night. The cottages are perfect for a romantic getaway, the villas are just right for a family retreat. The accommodations are stunning. The cottages are appointed with "antique, plantation style" furnishings, making you feel like you've stepped back in time. The telephone is antique, French style. The mattress and bedding were very comfortable. There is also a very large padded window seat to sit and read or curl up for a nap. Rooms contain both wine and regular refrigerators and a coffee/tea maker. We were very pleasantly surprised to receive a complimentary bottle of champagne on arrival and a fruit basket. Housekeeping returns in the evening for turndown service and to leave bottled water. The porches wrap around three sides. There are plush lounges on the covered front porch, and a table & chairs, and 2 sun lounges on the rear patio. ( could have used an umbrella for sun protection on the rear patio ) Most cottages have a private plunge infinity pool with waterfall around the edges. Only problem is that they are unheated. I can't understand why they went to so much trouble and expense to build such an amazing amenity and didn't install a heater. Taking a dip did feel good though after walking around the property, returning from a tour, or just sunbathing. Mind you, you won't be in there for very long. It is a real shame, as I could have lingered in there for hours had it only been warm enough. It is very tranquil to listen to the constant flow of water falling off the edge of the pool, just as if you were standing by a waterfall. The outdoor bathrooms are breathtaking, makes you feel like you're on a safari. It is truly a unique, one of a kind experience. I loved the oversized claw footed tub with handheld shower. What an experience, to bathe in the fresh air and look out at the tropical plants or stars. Of course, there are curtains to pull for privacy, but no need to close the rear one. The separate double sinks are very nice with marble tops. There is a lighted make-up vanity in the room too. Towels are very plush and kept in a cabinet. Toiletries are provided in ceramic containers. It is only a slight annoyance to open the doors during the night to use the restroom, but it is well lit enough with nightlights that you don't need to turn on the main lights. I did worry just a little bit that perhaps a monkey might come through at night and take some of my belongings. ( I think they're only after fruit though ) I kept bags zipped at all times as I did see an occasional gecko run across the bathroom floor. It is a long distance between most of the cottages and the restaurant. Call for a golf cart and they'll pick you up right away. Ice was very quickly delivered also. Staff was very friendly and attentive and wanted you to be pleased with your stay. There were a few issues with our room though. The safe did not work, which made me uncomfortable, although there was VERY slim chance of any theft as the property is protected by security and there was hardly no one there. Still, had to keep my most important small valuables on me at all times. There is also no clock, so be sure to bring your own. We had quite a time with the A/C system. For the most part, you don't need it, if you are there during the winter at least. I only felt it got a little stuffy in the room overnight with all the doors shut. We could not get any of the controls on the remote to work as they were supposed to. You had to just keep pushing buttons until the air came on. It would not set to the temperature you wanted it on. It just turned on full blast as low as it would go and then you would have to turn it off in a little bit as it would get too cold. The ceiling fan only had one speed, very, very, very slow. There wasn't much point to it. There is no regular TV. A large projector screen comes down and serves as a shade for the rear patio doors. They have a Roku system to stream news, shows, and movies. It is quite complicated with two remotes and they give you NO instruction on how to work it. Upon arrival, valet could not get it to work properly. He thought remotes needed new batteries and said he would return with some, but never did. After pushing many, many buttons we finally got it to work and were able to watch a show on Netflix that we really wanted to see ( we don't have Netflix at home ). Second day, we pushed EVERY button over and over and couldn't get it to work, so we just ended up watching some streaming from our DishNet on our laptop. The next day, supposed IT expert came to check it out and informed us that we must point the remote directly at the Roku box to get it to work, not at the screen or projector. ( it would have solved a lot of problems if the valet had told us that, but apparently he didn't know that either which is why he thought the batteries were dead ) He asked what we wanted to watch, and I said Netflix. He said, " I'm sorry, but we don't have a subscription to that". ( it is mentioned in other reviews that they do ) I informed him that we had watched it for hours the prior evening and he was quite shocked and surprised. After he left, we again watched a few shows on Netflix. We never could get the news channels to come on though and the movie section only showed movie previews not the actual movie. After pushing so many buttons, the picture blew up and was larger than the screen. IT expert couldn't figure out how to get it back to the correct size. He was no help at all, except to tell us to point the remote at the box. He played with it for a long time and couldn't figure out how to access anything. He kept trying to bring up video games, which we had no interest in. When he left, we just hit the Netflix button and had no trouble getting the show we wanted to watch to play. He didn't even try the Netflix button, as he insisted they had no subscription, however, Netflix was the only selection we got to work. So, I have no idea what was going on. At least the wifi worked well. The restaurant and bar are very beautiful and filled with antiques to make you feel as if you were at an actual historic plantation. Breakfast is included in the room rate. Meals include coffee, tea, or juice but water is extra. Service was slow. We waited nearly 10 min. for someone to bring us a menu the first day. Breakfast took around an hour even though there were only 3 tables in use. Most of the food was good. Breakfast potatoes were a bit spicy for me. Selection of fruit plate changed daily. The next time we went to breakfast, it took about 5 min. to get waited on and the food came in about half the time. ( we were the only ones there ) Room service took between 45 min. to one hour & 15 min. to arrive. I ordered a dinner salad one night and was brought a small side salad instead. They charge a $5 delivery fee for room service. Prices of entrees were very reasonable and they only charged a 10% gratuity which was also quite reasonable. The menu for both The Kitchen and the pool bar are the same. I suppose because they hardly have any customers. I expected two different menus. Overall, I was a little bit disappointed in the choice of selections. I thought there would be more creative and unique recipes on the menu featuring more fresh, local ingredients. However, the menu included the usual burger and pizza and for the most part resembled any at a local bar & grill. The only thing we disliked on the menu was the BBQ ribs. The sauce was overpowering and too spicy. Hubby is a big fan of ribs and he just flat out didn't care for them. BBQ sauce used on chicken wings was totally different and they were quite tasty. I couldn't understand why they were only offering Sunday brunch once a month, as I would have loved to have gone to it during my stay, but since they have so few guests, it is obvious now why it is not offered every Sunday. One night, we went down to Arthur's ( the restaurant they own at the beach ). Unfortunately, they are not open every night. Hotel provided shuttle service and picked you up when you were ready to return. ( normally there is a schedule, but since they currently have such few guests it is operated on demand ) I highly recommend going to Arthur's as much as possible during your stay. They want you to make a reservation, but unless you eat very late it is not necessary as they do not start getting a crowd until after 8 PM. We went down around 5 PM so we could watch the sunset and have a few beers before dinner. You definitely want to come before dark so you can enjoy the view of where the Atlantic meets the Caribbean. Happy hour beer special is VERY affordable. 3 beers for $12 EC, computes to less than $4.50 US. Seafood was very good. Only gripe is that I wanted a side of fried plantains and the waitress said they came with the meal ( even though the menu doesn't say so ) Of course, I didn't get any. ( encountered the same problem everywhere I ate, including The Kitchen ) You can charge the meal to your room, just as if you were at the hotel. They offer delivery from Arthur's for $10. They advertise it as a 10 min. drive, in reality, it's more like 15 - 20 min. It is VERY sad that the majority of this resort doesn't seem to be in use. As you arrive, you pass by several concrete buildings that have been left unfinished. There are also several modern buildings that seem to be newly finished. It actually kind of looks like two different resorts, or another mini resort within the farm. I'd say 90% of the cottages seem to have been abandoned and are not in use, all in various states of disrepair. Most have no bathroom fixtures, some are missing some shingles, some have boarded up windows, and all need painting. ( My travel agent suspected that it might have been damaged in a hurricane, and that would seem possible, but we went on several tours on both St. Kitts and Nevis, and no one mentioned a hurricane in recent years. ) Someone had an amazing vision with this property, but I don't know why they have abandoned so many cottages after spending so much money to build them and lay all the plumbing and electrical. Such a waste!! If they are abandoning the old cottages and building new ones, it is a shame, as the new buildings do not have anywhere near the charm or style of the old cottages. I guess we should have asked someone what was going on. During our stay, there were VERY few guests. We only saw 4 other couples in 4 days and a large group at one of the larger villas one day. When you walk around, you feel like you are in a ghost town. It is somewhat eerie. I don't know how much business they had before covid, but I sure hope it picks up soon. I don't really know how they can stay in business with such few guests. More people should come here as the view is amazing and it is so peaceful and tranquil. I really expected to see crops growing around the farm as it appears on their website. We went for a walk and found the site of the picture shown on their website of a field of fresh vegetables. I don't know how long ago it was taken, but obviously a VERY long time. The majority of the site was overgrown and there was only a SMALL area where they had just recently planted a FEW things. I felt VERY misled! I thought the cottages would be surrounded by fields of vegetables. There were a few fields along the arrival road but nothing was planted in them. I am a gardener and I miss my garden very much during the winter. I thought here I would be surrounded by beautiful vegetables to give my spirits a boost, but sadly no. I understand that if they had no guests they probably couldn't afford to put the money into seeds and plants and pay someone to tend the farm. Plus, they didn't have any guests to feed, but couldn't they have sold the produce to the community and other outlets ? It's my understanding that overall, the island imports most of it's produce. Oddly, they have spent a LOT of money setting up a VERY fancy fitness center with many, many expensive pieces of equipment. Why anyone would want to spend their time in there when all you need to do is take a walk around the resort to get a good workout is beyond me. Their website gives the impression that there are nature trails all around but they do not have a map of the property. We started to explore the first morning as we saw a trail taking off by the top of the restaurant. An employee told us not to go out there as it was dangerous and said to stay on the paved pathways. They do offer a guided nature walk on weekdays at 8 AM, which totally disrupts breakfast, so poor timing in our opinion. When we booked the reservation, the clerk told us they offered a rainforest walk. When we called back later we were told they were not located in the rainforest, but at a volcano, and they offered a volcano hike. ( which was way too strenuous for us ). We didn't feel the need to pay extra for a guided walk when we had already walked all around the resort on our own and had done a rainforest hike elsewhere on the island. We were given the impression upon booking that the hotel itself had organized tours set up and available to the guests, but that is not the case. Apparently, the reservations clerk doesn't really know what is going on. We asked prior to arrival what tours were available from the resort and all the concierge offered to arrange was a 4 hour taxi tour for $100. Maybe some people are only interested in hitting the highlights, but that wasn't what we had in mind, and he didn't seem interested in helping us tailor tours to the places that we wanted to go. Instead, he referred us to a website listing tour operators on the island. We contacted several companies on the website and told the concierge that the vast majority of them only offered tours from Basseterre and most required a 4 person minimum to book. His response was, " they just tell you that", instead of actually trying to help us find someone who would pick-up at the farm. Overall, we found the concierge unhelpful. It was VERY difficult to arrange tours from this location and I ended up not getting to see everything I wanted to. If you only want to stay at the farm, this is not an issue, if you want to explore, you will need to do a lot of research. We only found one company, Rogers Eco-Tours, that would pick-up at the farm for a rainforest hike. Unfortunately, they are not operating their 4WD tour at this time. The only company that did have a 4WD tour wanted $600 to come so far out of his way for two people, and he made it clear that it was really out of his way. No thanks! We only found one service, Tatem's Tours & Taxi, that would give you a ( true full day ) custom island tour at reasonable rates. All the other tour operators on the website would not pick-up at the farm, they wanted you to take a taxi to Basseterre to meet them, or they required a 4 person minimum. Now for my main gripe. The biggest reason I came here was for the farm table dinner. It sounded amazing! Unfortunately, we were the only people who had signed up for it during our stay and they require a minimum of 10 people. We went for a walk around the property and found the site of the farm table dinner. I was in shock! It was totally run down. The farm table itself and the chairs and pergola above are all in sad shape and need to be replaced. I can not believe that they were actually planning to have a farm table dinner there in the condition the site was in. How they could be advertising the dinner is beyond me. Everything else at the resort and restaurant is very high end. They only want to offer and present the best. We're supposed to believe that they would charge $150 per person for an elegant multi-course dinner at a place where the furnishings are dilapidated. I don't think so. Not to mention, you can't get 10 people to attend a special dinner if there aren't even 10 people staying at the resort. I felt SO misled!! They had to have known weeks ago, when we booked the dinner reservation, that they weren't going to have it. Had I known this, I may have switched to another hotel. I figure they knew if they told us there was no chance of having the dinner that we might cancel our reservation. ( if you are staying elsewhere on the island it would have been a VERY long drive in the dark, late at night, back to your hotel ) If they did have the dinner, the trek to the outhouse in the dark would also have been a little bit treacherous. As the weather situation turned out, it could have been a disaster if we would have been able to have the dinner. ( we could have ended up wet, in the dark, with no way to prepare the food ) The last night of our stay there was a brief heavy rain shower and the power went out. Surprisingly, in a matter of minutes, someone was at the door with lanterns for us. I don't know if this is something that happens often, but they were right on top of assisting the guests. Thankfully, our dinner had been delivered shortly before this happened. Power was off for about an hour and a half which was disappointing to my Netflix time. The wifi also did not work during the outage. I don't know how long it will take for many travelers to return to this resort, but they need to be getting prepared and returning all of the cottages to their former glory. If you are looking for a total getaway this is the place to be. I am glad that I got to experience it's beauty and serenity. You may never experience another place like it. The beauty of the site and the overall quality of the food and service from the majority from the staff is impeccable. However, I am torn, as if I had I known that there would not be a farm table dinner, that I wouldn't be surrounded by growing vegetables, and how difficult and expensive it would be to get around from here, I'm not sure if I would have come. I think the best solution would have been to come here for a few days of relaxation, then move to another hotel near town for a couple of days to have easy access to sightseeing.

Could not visit because I could never book the hotel. You cannot book online and you cannot get these people to respond to your emails inquiring about booking a stay. The only emails I got were not very helpful either. If this is the booking, we certainly don’t even want to try to go to this place as I feel the service will be the same - unresponsive and with a total lack of customer service. The property also seems to be mostly closed due to “COVID” which is weird at this stage of the pandemic. They may be on their way of shutting down operations otherwise I don’t understand the overall situation.

Absolutely sensational the staff were all amazing. Whispering angel poured while sitting at the pool bar philosophising about bit coin and life’s coincidences. The gym is wold class and the rooms are designed so beautifully I would like to go home and completely re do my house. Special shout out to Bon jovi who made our stay extra special. Rooms are very unique. Each building is perched up on a hill and most have a private infinity pool. Staff was very friendly and especailly Nicole at the front desk. They couldn't do enough for us. The rooms are very uniquie with the bath rooms being outside (curtains for privacy). Dining at the pool bar was very good and breakfast delivered to the room each morning was special. The star of the show was the view outside our opened doors to the vast view of the ocean and neighboring islands. Amazing There is also a drop down screen and projector in our room that turned our room into a movie theater, which was really fun. Dinner at Arthurs on the beach was also good. We stayed in our room most of the time and did an ATV excursion (which was fun). The main restaurant wasn't opened yet called the Kitchen. The venue looked amazing. We woudl love to come back when it is open.

We stayed for a week during New Years 2020. Our cottage was perfect for our family of 4 adults. We loved the out door bath room and gorgeous view from our plunge pool. There were monkeys playing near our cottage every day around 4 pm. Belle Mont was a very relaxing stay. It rained on and off which was relaxing and tropical. The work out facility is very nice and air-conditioned. Tennis courts a bit rugged. But fun to be able to play and use their equipment. The food was spectacular and very unique. We did not eat at farm because we did not book ahead. We did eat two times at beach with hotel and found the seafood and service to be superb. The hotel is remote. We just wanted to relax, hike, eat and spend time as a family. The movie screen in room was fantastic and room service great too. It was perfect. We did go take a water taxi to Nevis and have lunch at the four seasons which was fun adventure. We also had lunch our first day at the Hyatt, which was ver nice too.

My wife and I came here expecting a nice property and a memorable stay, and in every way our expectations were exceeded. While the photos of the property are beautiful, they do not do justice to this amazing place. We stayed in a cottage and everything from the bed, to the outdoor shower and tub, to the pool, and of course the view, were remarkable. The service was also outstanding. The staff at the pool bar and restaurant were very friendly and helpful, and everyone we interacted with seemed genuinely concerned with our comfort. We had a rental car to explore the island and whenever we needed it, it was available in minutes. We don't typically visit the same place twice, as when we travel we like to explore, so I can't say if we will ever be back, but I've already recommended Belle Mont Farm to all of our friends who travel, and if we do ever end up back in St. Kitts, we will stay no where else. Thank you Belle Mont Farm for a wonderful stay and a memorable trip!

My wife and I stayed here to celebrate our Honeymoon among several other special occasions. We could not have asked for a better trip and overall experience. When we arrived at the farm we were greeted immediately with top of the line service. Immediately we felt welcomed! We spent the majority of our week enjoying our room's infinity pool, the beautiful scenery and the wildlife (monkeys, pigs, etc.). When we were not in our room we were going on nature walks, enjoying Arthur's, or hanging by the main pool area. Every request we had was accommodated and they went above and beyond in all areas. The food was one of the highlights. Especially with my wife and I being such foodies. If you stay here, and don't attend the Farm Table dinner, you will be missing such a cool experience that you'll always remember. The rum was also amazing, especially the mango rum! Room service was great as well and efficient. Food was always fresh. A couple of the people who stood out and we would like to thank are: Chrisdale, Floyd, Dedra, Rachel, Kevin (Bon Jovi), Kevin (with the infamous riddles), Tiffany, and Donna. During our farm table dinner we met Argyle, the food and beverage manager, who was very knowledgeable. We also met the head of I.T. who was a great guy but we can't remember his name, along with a really nice young lady who showed us how to make a body scrub (all I remember is she worked in the spa, and was really nice). Overall this was one of the best trips and we cannot wait to be back again!

Our recent stay at Belle Mont Farm was everything and more we could have hoped for our vacation. We recently stayed a week at Belle Mont Farm in February and had an amazing time there, coming back feeling relaxed and well taken care of. First of all, the views are just spectacular from the the site. From the main building to the cottages/villas. There was lush green scenery, main rainbows seen over the waters, and just peace and tranquility. We stayed in a two bed room villa and loved our infinity pool, Caribbean breezes and views. We spent time on the balcony reading or hanging out by the pool. There weren't a lot of bugs, and we just put some bug spray on and slept all the nights with the doors open. The temperature was perfect and beat the AC unit. The TVs had Roku service (which we didn't use, as in didn't watch TV), and the turndown service was great. Even received treats and new bottles of water almost each night (almost because sometimes we had the Do Not Disturb sign up). The staff were amazing and got us around everywhere we needed, booked things, etc. We had signed up for the Breakfast on the Greens, and due to a snafu since it didn't happen the day scheduled, we received a complimentary one another day. They really went above and beyond in every way possible. We did yoga a few of the days, took a couple of day trips, and took a shuttle to Arthur's for lunch one day. The food was amazing. Great choices for breakfast and dinner (we usually got so full front breakfast, we skipped lunch). Everything was fresh and delicious. We also did the Farm Table experience, and I would not skip it. Just be sure to have an appetite because there is quite a bit of food and the wine is always pouring. We loved it so much that we already plan on coming back next year. PS - Just a few tips. This place is probably not for you if you're looking to be on the beach and have a night time experience of lots of bars, etc. Not sure if anyone with really young kids would enjoy it. They do offer a few trips during the week out to various places for those without a car and don't want to book a taxi. We loved the half day tour or Brimstone Hill fortress and a few other places. I would skip the Beach Hop and ask for a taxi to go to the Park Hyatt and use their facilities - have lunch, use their beach, maybe take the water taxi to Nevis. Only because the beaches are packed with cruise ship passengers and is quite busy. We didn't rent a car because we just wanted to relax on the Belle Mont Farm property. Taxi service to and from the airport was perfect.
