From the moment we stepped into the Park Hyatt we were greeted with smiles and attentiveness that has yet to be matched by any travel experience to date. Not only were my family and I welcomed to the property we were quickly made to feel as part of the Park Hyatt family. Corny? Possibly..... but our experience and the customer service received was second to none. From room service to pool, on site shuttle, Rum tasting, our special chef experience and beyond I want to thank the staff for making this one of the most memorable family vacations yet. Christie, Romario, Glenice, Ronis, Genive, James, Cariela, Valenicia, Justin, Oral just to name a few. Thank you. The Chappell family will be making a return trip as soon as we can book it. As a side, food was great, onsite activities were fantastic, main pool was perfect for all ages. Everything we could need was located on property so there was no need for us to leave the grounds. The only regret is that we didn't make our stay longer.…
i went with my wife.and we were blown away by how awesome this spot is.The biggest difference are. the staff. They are beautiful genuine people always with q smile and looking to please. Beautiful pool ,gym and property We upgraded our room to a plunge pool suite and we spent a lot of quality time there The restaurants selection were limited but the food was good Overall it was still about the wonderful people. Grateful and happy. We in the US could learn something from them
The property is at a great location. It's peaceful, quiet and relaxing. The staff is very warm and friendly and willing to accommodate to your requests. Be sure to do some fish watching on the pier. There is a lot to look at both in the morning and early evening.
The Park Hyatt is a hidden gem and while I’ve seen some mixed reviews, that wasn’t our experience. The resort is relatively new at 5 years, but realize they lost 2 years due to Covid restrictions. Rooms are extremely well designed (we had an ocean view suite) with very livable balconies. I don’t think there’s a bad view in the place. As we literally faced Nevis head on, with a convenient water shuttle to take you there and back at your request. The overall design and layout of the property is excellent. This is a bit of a chill vibe and NOT a massive all encompassing resort. But it is high end, from the furnishings in the public spaces to the way the resort blends into the topography. Endless places to enjoy alfresco cocktails or dinning. We didn’t leave the property, because that’s the vacation we wanted and there really isn’t a reason. The food is very good and diverse from Pizza to seafood to burgers. The alcohol is real, unlike so many all inclusive resorts who water down libations before they get into those legit looking bottles. When bored you can walk down the beach to Reggae Beach for some local food/bar shacks and great food. The gym is as good as any we have seen, to include comparison to quite a few Ritz’s, and it is attached to a beautiful spa. We have yet to meet a single staff member who wasn’t friendly and helpful. Not one. The resort wasn’t crowded during our trip, so our service was very good. But remember that all hotels and resorts are struggling to recover from Covid Hell and it is tough to rehire the right staff…here or in the US. The beach is not a pure white sand Caribbean beach, or one manufactured to look like one. But it is rustic and there is a constant breeze. The pools are beautiful and, as I said, you are always looking at Nevis. Good enough for beach yoga and other activities. And remember there is still and island to see and a trip to Nevis, if you feel the need. I’d say this is perfect for romantic getaways and pure down time. They also seem to get a lot of family action during the peak months. If you want action and non stop partying, it’s less likely the spot, and I’d consider another island entirely. This is about relaxing In the beauty of nature, good food, great rooms and re-energizing.…
We were very impressed with the friendliness of the staff. From bell staff to front desk to pool / bar / restaurant service, everyone was extremely helpful. The room had a great view of Nevis and was very well appointed with a soaker tub and rain shower. Spring for a room with a plunge pool - the extra space on the deck is wonderful. The resort was laid back and not overcrowded. Plan trips to the St Kitts Brimstone Hill fort and Romney Manor and take a water taxi to nearby Nevis,
TLDR: amazing resort in St Kitts that is new and modern. Excellent dining options. Only downside is it does get pricey with menus and drinks and the beach is not very swimmable. During our stay, the resort was empty so we had five star service from the staff. Highly recommend. Stayed here for my honeymoon with my husband in March. We loved the resort and were so exhausted from all the wedding planning that we didn’t event leave the resort once the entire 5 days! Upon arrival, we grabbed a taxi to the resort which was about 50 USD. I was surprised that the hotel didn’t offer a shuttle since it was a Park Hyatt, but seems like the Four Seasons and other hotels didn’t as well. Taxi was quick and painless. The airport was super efficient as well. Upon arrival at the resort, we were greeted by a bellman who took our belongings and showed us the front desk. There is a beautiful koi pond on the wall up which is a nice touch and adds some peacefulness. Check in was smooth - we booked on points and got the basic beach side king room. I asked for an upgrade if available, and the front desk told us that nothing was clean, but she could get us an upgraded room tomorrow. Fine with me. I got a voice message the next day about the room being available. Instead of just moving us, Lynesse told us we could take a look at the other room, or stay in our’s if we were happy. We decided to stay and instead she bought us a round of drinks at dinner. We were driven by golf cart to the room - we were on the far side of the resort next to the Stone Barn. Very quiet and I recommend this side due to the privacy of not many guests walking by due to the location. Room was beautifully appointed. Bed was comfortable. Le labo toiletries were a nice touch. Turn down service was great as well - they left branded chocolates each night. There are two pools: a larger one that mimics the beach sand and the pool getting progressively deeper. The adults pool is on a higher level with stone arches. We went back and forth between pools - if you are at the adults pool they give you a buzzer to call the bar. Water service was a nice touch when staying at the adult pool as it was very hot. Additionally, the restore provides sunscreen in tiny plastic containers. We didn’t realize until we bought sunscreen ; don’t make our mistake and pay 20 bucks for something they provide! Drinks were tasty, but be prepared for the bill. Each drink with service charge and resort fee comes to about 20 USD. The beach was rocky and full of seaweed. We put our feet in and sat by the beach for a bit, but wouldn’t necessarily recommend it over the pool. The gym is fully equipped and clean. Restaurant wise there are a couple options. Stone Barn is fancy with a pre fixe menu. We didn’t end up going there, but ate at the Great House most days. (It alternates being open with the Fisherman’s village on certain days probably due to it being low season). Food was delicious. Highly recommend the waygu burger at Great House. Additionally the pasta dish at Great House for dinner was so good I got it probably four times. Pasta was homemade and the light sauce with zucchini was delicious, especially topped with jerk chicken. The bread service served with meals is also delicious; they make a homemade butter every day that is infused w an herb or special flavoring. The staff was so kind and personable - it felt like we were family and always welcome. Elysia at the Great House even went above and beyond to put aside the pesto butter for us to try one night at dinner because she knew how much we liked it.…
I've been wanting to stay at this Hyatt for awhile and I'm so glad we finally checked it out. We loved every minute of our stay. Everyone on the staff was so friendly and helpful. The resort is beautiful, the pools were great, and we enjoyed the restaurants we tried (Fisherman's Village, The Great House, and the bar by the pool.) We were staying with points and a category 1-7 free night certificate and I found it to be an excellent redemption. The Globalist benefits were outstanding. We got an upgraded to a beachside suite with a lovely view, and breakfast each morning at the Great House was so relaxing and $100+ and fully comped, except of course for additional gratuity that we chose to apply and felt the staff deserved. We were able to get our covid test for traveling back to the USA on site for an additional fee so there was nothing to worry about with that. It was easy to get the water taxi from this location to go over to Nevis, and it's easy to walk over to Reggae Beach Bar or the Spice Mill for a change of pace. The Park Hyatt is located in a beautiful, secluded location at the south of St Kitts so the only downside I can think of is it is about $50 USD cab ride to head up to the Basseterre area and takes some time. Since we had never been to St Kitts before and wanted to also do some sightseeing and other restaurants, we chose to stay closer to Basseterre for the first few nights while we explored and then moved to the Park Hyatt for the "relax at the resort" part of our vacation. Also of note, before flying to St Kitts I was nervous about getting the right covid test, submitting the info, and getting the government approval letter in time but everything worked out perfectly and was worth the effort.…
Been to many places in the Caribbean and Central and South America. This is the best. Food, location, views, staff, all amazing! The people are the BEST! I went for a work trip, and we will definitely be back with our family. A favorite for sure.
This property is the ultimate in understate luxury! The staff is the friendliest I have ever encountered! Everyone wishes you a great day when they see you walking around the resort. The pool areas are beautiful and the staff is always attentive.
Staff is amazing. Hotel needs to work on creating a swimmable beach area. We happened to be there during a quiet week and enjoyed the adult only pool. It's a shame that we couldn't swim in the water right outside our room. It was filled with seaweed and rough water. Some large rocks in water would probably help.
