My first visit here was so wonderful, I gave it rave reviews in Sep 2011. They have done some major renovations since then including a HUGE new pool and a two level bar/observation deck. The rooms have also been upgraded with more modern bathrooms and very comfortable beds. There was some sort of entertainment each night including karaoke, trivia, music, welcome party, and a Big Grilled Feast they call a BBQ, which doesn't even do it justice. They really treat you like family here! We chose the 3 meals and 3 dives per day package and so glad we did. The diving was excellent, with amazing sites, some of the best marine life, greatest visibility, and healthy corals I've ever seen. Big shout out to Jucky, Yannis, & Laura from our dive boat for making our trip so amazing. Thank you Trudy for your excellent management over the years, we can't wait to return!…
This is my first trip with in 2 years! Such amazing and quiet place to relax, away from the stress!! Nice Hotel, friendly staff, nice food! You can enjoy your day by cycling, bar hopping, walk in the beach, always try the local foods, go to historic places! Such a wonderful short vacation!!
Nice resort with GREAT diving. All inclusive buffet gets a little old, who really likes buffets? Food and drinks off the menu are expensive but everything on the island has to be shipped in. There is an automatic gratuity of 15% added to everything you purchase so having a tip jar seems very greedy. They do need to work on what to do when masses of seaweed washes up and makes everything stink to high heavens.
This resort feels like a second home. The staff are incredible. They take great care of their guests and truly enjoy what they do. We were happy to see that most of the staff were able to stay or come back after COVID. The food is incredible. Every dish has wonderful flavor and the Chef is very accommodating if you have dietary needs. The rooms have a beautiful view of the ocean and the pool. We have never had any issues with hot water or cooling the room. The diving is second to none. Not only do you see great flora and fauna on every dive, the dive staff take great care in preparing divers and ensuring a smooth dive. We will be returning every year as this has become our favorite place to dive and relax in the Carribbean.
An amazing week spent at this resort. Everyone at Cayman Brac Beach Resort is unbelievably fantastic. All staff are happy to be there. A very comfortable relaxing resort where every detail has been considered. All rooms face the ocean. This is a small resort but big with thoughtful and genuine atmosphere. All staff are friendly and kind. The food is phenomenal. Meals are buffet and truly delicious. Not one meal was cold or bland. All kitchen staff, chefs. sous chefs, wait staff etc are all ready to provide a dining experience. The bar staff are always happy to make whatever will make you smile. The grounds are kept impeccable. Grounds keepers are always willing to lend a hand. Cleaning staff are excellent. Diving is amazing! A great group of divers work at the dive shop. Very clear direction and rationale. Happy to lend a hand (are you sensing a theme here) answer any questions. They are there to make your dive experience exceptional. Our dive boat included Juckie, Frankie and Laura - each of them were beyond phenomenal. This is truly VIP diving. These 3 worked incredibly hard, lifting and caring our gear. Wow what a treat for us. This is truly down to earth 5 star dive vacation.…
This was a great little resort. They re-opened only a week prior to our stay. They had some kinks to work out, but those were nuisances. They were closed to foreign tourists for almost 2 years. There were roughly 45-50 guests at the time., I stayed. The rooms were clean, lots of painting and cleanup while they were shut down except to nationals. They tested us 3 times per Cayman covid protocols, including day prior to flying back to U.S. The staff was amazing. All were very helpful, and friendly. You could tell they were excited to have guests back in the complex. The diving was great, the corals very healthy, reefs, cuts swim throughs were great. Did 2 little wrecks and the Kieth Tibbits. Typically they do 3 dives per day. 2 Morning, 1 afternoon. There was no night diving while we were there. We lost a day due to weather, but they tried to make up for it with with a 4 dive day following afterwards. Food was good, nice daily variety, the on site pastry chef was a plus. There's not a lot to do on Brac other than dive. There is a 2 & 1/2 hour tour that takes you around the island, A couple of bat caves, the cliffs at the east end of the island the bird nesting sites up on the cliffs. This is good to do on your last day before flying. Anyway it was a fun place, the staff made it even better. I'll go back...…
Decided on a long weekend on The Brac for our anniversary so my wife could see all of the Cayman Islands. Booking was easy and asked for a small fridge which wasn't a problem and no extra charge. The resort is for divers on all inclusive so there aren't cooking facilties in the room. The place was very quiet due to current Covid restrictions but I prefer that. On Friday night they have a BBQ which is attended by non-residents as well. I had the beef option which was excellent with as many sides as you could eat and all for $18. Phenomenal value for money. The breakfast is a buffet style on Saturday and Sunday which has everything you could want. Again, excellent value for money. The poolside bar is tidy, clean and has plenty shade which we needed as it was a very hot weekend. The pool itself and hot tub are excellent with great views of the ocean. Staff are amongst the friendliest I've ever met anywhere in the world. The room was clean, tidy and the aircon was good. I prefer a harder mattress but that's a personal choice so I didn't have the best of sleeps either night. We brought milk and champagne with us so a fridge was a necessity. I think they should be standard to be honest. Small balcony and that is my bigest gripe. The aircon unit is large and makes a racket when it's on so is a bit intrusive and the view from the balcony is of palm trees. You can't see the pool or the ocean which is a pity. Also, the light on the balcony wasn't working. A minor thing but an easy fix. On checking out the receptionist provided us with 2 free t-shirts which is a nice touch. A very relaxed weekend on The Brac and when the diving returns, I would certainly stay there again.…
Clean and friendly staff. A quiet place to relax and rejuvenate. The only issue was that when my husband and I were the only guests by the pool and I noticed 3 staff standing by the by pool bar chatting. Not one of them out of courtesy walked up to ask us if we needed a drink so each time we needed a drink we walked to the bar and interrupted the bar tender’s conversation with other staff and ordered our drink. I personally don’t think it’s a big deal but it would have e made our day and made us feel like valued guests specially at this uncertain times with economy. I’m sure their tip would increase based on their small gesture of their kindness and care.
Had the most lovely stay at the Cayman Brac Beach Resort! The place is under renovation so we basically had the place to ourselves. The rooms were clean with cold AC. The pool was massive and also had a great hot tub! It was my birthday and the guys at the bar spoiled me with there incredible drinks and a brownie birthday dessert! The restaurant also had great food, try the Mac n cheese!
Just back from a 3 day staycation, with my wife and toddler. Overall we were terrifically impressed - the hotel is obviously struggling, as is most of the Cayman tourism industry during this period, but the welcome we got was superb. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Food and drink was pretty good - not the most extensive menu but what they did they did very well, and the Friday night barbeque was lovely. My wife and I each had a very nice massage. Our daughter absolutely loved the wonderful pool. The beach hammocks were a fabulous place to watch the sunset with a cocktail. If I had one small niggle it would be that the hotel rooms could really do with a fridge. Overall, this was a really nice stay at a wonderful little hotel.
