Bill was incredibly friendly and responsive every time I reached out, and the property exceeded our expectations. We stayed in #320, one of the properties owned by Bill, and it was fantastic. While renting a car isn't necessary, we were pleased that we chose to do so. It allowed us to easily explore various parts of the island and conveniently shop for groceries. Plus, the August heat made it much more comfortable to drive to nearby restaurants. However, it's important to note that walking to some of the restaurants means navigating a busy road and highway, which is another reason why we opted to drive.

The condo boasts a spacious open-concept layout with a kitchen, dining area, and living room. One bedroom features a king bed, while the other has a queen and a twin bed. The two full bathrooms were convenient, and the kids particularly enjoyed the one with a tub. Having the washer and dryer in the kitchen was a huge help. Bill also provided sunscreen, snorkels, plates, silverware, conditioner, shampoo, laundry detergent, coffee pods, and towels.

The kids loved the large television in the living room, offering numerous streaming services. My husband even got to enjoy some comedy shows! It's worth noting that the Wi-Fi sometimes faltered when the big TV was on, but otherwise, it worked very well. We also appreciated the lovely on-site restaurant with a swim-up bar and the large heated pool with a hot tub. The enclosed, warm ocean was perfect for our needs. Spending time on the spacious private balcony each evening was a highlight of our stay.

Really enjoyed our stay at Sunset Cove. It is very convenient and within walking distance to nearby restaurants and not far from Georgetown. The beach and lagoon are wonderful for wading, swimming and around the rocks that rim the lagoon, snorkeling. We stayed in unit #213. It was clean, well stocked and a good floor plan for two couples. Loved the deck and view of the pool. Pool bar/restaurant was a nice amenity. Great bartenders, good food. Staff, especially Tiffany and Roger (onsite manager) were wonderful and accommodating. One suggestion: While the pool was maintained daily or every other day with cleaning and chemicals, the grounds could have used more attention. I found myself picking up empty cups and straws plus straightening the lounge chairs to keep things tidy. Too beautiful of a property to ignore these details!

The condo was well maintained and offered the perfect amenities for our family - the best beach on Seven Mile (this beach has a protective cove that was fabulous! Soft sand without rocks and was cleaned of seaweed each morning), a nice pool area with lots of beach chairs and umbrellas, and the Lazy Lizard that served great cocktails and food! It was a short 5 minute drive to Camana Bay for dinner options, Foster's grocery store and my morning Starbucks coffee! We will definitely stay here again!

The condo we stayed in at Sunset Cove was lovely in every way. First timer to Cayman, it was a perfect relaxing retreat - quiet and private with a beautiful swimming cove, but steps away from a fun, hoppin pool bar with great drinks and food. Set in an ideal location, walkable from several restaurants, bars, and stores, and just a short drive (less than 10 min) to other points of interest on the island. I will 100% be staying here next time I visit the islands!!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed a week's stay in Unit 112. Kathy's condo is clean, tastefully decorated and stocked with everything guests need. It's bottom unit location is perfect as you can step out to the pool and hot tub and enjoy a quick saunter to the beach right from the patio. It was a perfect week away in a beautiful condo.

Had the most incredible stay at sunset cove! The accommodations were top notch! Our condo was spacious, incredibly clean, and equipped with everything we needed! The amenities on the property were everything we could have asked for and more! Beach and swim up bar pool access right outside our door. The beach area was equipped with lounge chairs and umbrellas, and the water was calm and clear, great for swimming! Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful! The surrounding areas were very safe and easy to get around. We loved being able to walk to different local restaurants, bars, shops, etc during our stay. 10/10 recommend! Will definitely be returning!

My friends and I had the best time staying at Sunset Cove #101. The beach was right out the back door and we loved having the pool bar to hang out at during the daytime. The bartenders were awesome- super friendly and fun! The location is unbeatable as there are many walkable restaurants, stores, etc. The condo itself was spacious and equipped with everything we needed for the week. I can't wait to come back and book here again!

Sunset Cove is a condominium just below the southern end of Seven Mile Beach (SMB). The 4-star rating is because there is no direct access to SMB even though the listing implies there is. In order to access the uninterrupted stretch of SMB that Grand Cayman is known for, you have to drive/walk past the covered bridge on West Bay Road and use one of the public access walkways.

Other than the above, Sunset Cove is ideal for families. The pool is large with a fun swim up bar and kiddie pool. There is a small manmade cove where you can paddle board, kayak, and snorkel. The views are incredible from the ocean front units. (The more interior units have limited ocean views.) The kitchens are fully equipped and clean. There is a washer and dryer in the unit, which was incredibly helpful. And the property management group offers pack and plays and high chairs for little ones.

It is very close to many restaurants, the main grocery store (Kirk), bars, coffee shops, and a wine and spirits store.

Management is super responsive and helpful. We had a very last minute issue with our original lodging and Tiffany was very patient and responsive as we scrambled to find a place to stay. The views, location and amenities more than made up for it.

This hotel was perfect for my family of four. It was a full apartment with a patio (which we LOVED), our daughters (6 & 14) shared a bedroom that had two beds and we had our own bedroom with its own bathroom. The apartment is not the most up to date, had some floral bedding, I usually prefer all white bedding for a fresher/clean look. However, this is the Caribbean decor you will find if you're not at a 5 star hotel and I guess it gives you bigger Caribbean vibes. The apartment was very clean, had everything we needed from a washer/dryer, broom, to cooking utensils, bowls, pans etc. Margaritaville is connected to Sunset Cove so we share the pool and restaurant (but food can't be charged to the room). Pool was very nice with a swim up bar. Private beach on premises with an actual cove and best views of the sunset each day. (hence the name Sunset Cove). The day we were supposed to leave our flight got delayed from a morning flight to very late night flight. Debbie the manager was very helpful in assisting us with our circumstances. We would love to return to and re-experience the islands food, music, beaches and sunset.
*RECOMMENDATION* - We loved Peppers Bar & Grill which was a short walk away, had really good food and good live music. If you're looking for an excursion I suggest going to Stingray City and using Captain Marvin's charter which also included snorkeling in the package.

I will start off by saying the person we rented from was lovely. She was quick to answer questions and provide useful information. Having said that our unit needed some major upgrades. Both bathrooms especially. We were on the first floor with no view. Overall, it was doable but it was not cheap. The beach was very small and not connected to Seven Mile although it’s advertised and is technically on Seven Mile Beach. Parts of this small beach is rocky. The property as a whole has a lot of potential but it needs work. The lobby pool was closed (empty) and fenced off and all the seating around were overgrown with weeds. Pictures on line are deceiving. Mostly the outside is pretty and I can only speak for the unit we stayed in. Other units might be upgraded. Didn’t get pics of the unit or the ungodly lobby pool and area.

I don’t remember exactly. Maybe 8 or 9? It’s not that easy to access SMB. Have to walk through rocks. But the cove was wonderful!

What is the beach like? Is it rocky or sandy? How big is the cove area?
Answer from Zeppelin699
New York City, New York4 contributions5 helpful votes
The resort has a very small sandy area in the ma-made cover and then is harsh and rocky on all other sides. There is nowhere to play in the waves, or anything like the real seven mile beach area 1/2 mile farther up the beach. It is good if you kayak as you can get in and out without the surf hitting you on the way in or out. However, you are NOT on the seven mile beach area that is world famous.
