We’ve been coming to Cayman for years and stayed at the Seafire (love but so expensive now), the Marriott, and the Ritz. While the full service resorts have their advantages, for us this was more than offset by having a real two bedroom apartment with a kitchen for a fraction of the price of a suite at any of them. There are no lines or fees for pool or beach chairs and you’ll often have the pools to yourself even at peak times. There are so many great restaurants on the island that you won’t miss having one on property and the gorgeous new Fosters grocery store is an easy walk away at Camana Bay (grocery carts are provided.)

We know the island so we didn’t miss having a concierge and there’s a spa and a Red Sail (boats, paddle boards) you can use at the Marriott next door. The only drawbacks I can think of are no drop off kids club, no lobby area, and no elevators (the buildings are only three floors so this is only an issue if you have trouble with stairs generally.)

We’re going back next year!

Note: This review related to unit 531. As the units are individually owned, the following may not reflect amenities in other units.
This is a very chic and elegantly designed, high ceilinged condominium at the bottom of Seven Mile beach, with first class, state of the art appliances. Security is excellent, with a Schlage electronic lock, as well as a lever lock when inside; there is also a security guard on site. Plenty of parking available, but unsecured. Suite is a good size, with a large balcony with a table seating four. The master bedroom is big, and the second bedroom, with twin beds, is of average size. Two full closets in the master, one closet in the second bedroom. King size master bed was comfortable, albeit a little soft for our taste; that said, we slept well. There is a bathroom with shower en suite in the master, and a second full bathroom with tub and shower opposite the second bedroom. Lots of towels in both bathrooms.
The unit was relatively quiet, and appeared to have good soundproofing. Lighting was adequate, but for anyone who wants to read in the evening, you’ll have to sit at the dining room table for good light. The unit has three TV’s with on-screen programming, and a wide constellation of available (English) channels, including the main US channels, as well as the CBC and Toronto CTV stations, but no streaming capability. Wifi was good, averaging 18 Mbps download. The central air conditioning worked well and quiet.
The kitchen is very well equipped, with place settings for six people. The refrigerator ice maker even has a setting for crushed ice or cubes! The dishwasher, washing machine and microwave were easy to use and worked well.
Multiple reasonably and not so reasonably priced restaurants are within 15 minutes walking distance, including several just minutes away. The large Foster’s supermarket (think Whole Foods clone) at the Camana Bay mall is within a 12 to 15 minute walk.
The elephant in the room is the status of the beach. At low tide and calm winds, there is a stretch of sand available for sunbathing and maybe a 20 minute beach walk. For a lengthy beach walk, you’ll need to walk up West Bay road for about 15 minutes to access the full “Seven Mile Beach” experience; alternatively, if the tide permits, walk on the beach to the Coral Beach Grill, out to Wets Bay Road, go north and return to the beach on the public access walkway just north of the Coral Beach Grill, and walk to your heart’s content…

This place is great! I never write reviews, but we liked it here so much that I felt compelled to do so. Much more reasonably priced than the resorts and the accommodations are terrific. My family of 5 stayed in a two bedroom condo for a week. There was plenty of space, plenty of amenities, comfortable sleeping arrangements, spacious bathrooms, and beautiful views of the gorgeous beach from our room. The grounds and the room were very clean. Kristina was extremely accommodating and the other guests were very friendly. Access to the beach and pool was simple, and the beach entry was all sand unlike some other spots along the beach that are more rocky. The condo is centrally located offering easy access to restaurants and shops. The Marriott is right next door so we were able to use the restaurant and bar there. George Town and West Bay were only a few minutes away by car. We would definitely stay here again!

I would avoid staying at this property if at all possible as there are much better options available on 7 mile that are much better value for money.

I had an extended stay at the property and during this time the internet and TV was intermittent and would go for days being down without being fixed.

There was constant building noise resulting in dust and smoke rendering the facilities at the property unusable.

When these issues were raised with the owners they did not care and simply insisted on being paid and when I wanted to have a reasonable discussion about all the disruption resorted to bullying and intimidation tactics.

I would advise anyone to think very carefully before staying here. Very sour experience in the end

Traveling right now is extremely stressful and the added layers of Cayman government requirements don't make it easy. However, we had a great time at Regal Beach condo 211. Second time here and the beach has eroded, but not as bad right now as some have suggested. If you have been here before, the Marriott beach next door is gone but Regal Beach has room for chairs and sand space as the beach has come back from earlier storms. Ask Cayman Villas and they will send you a current photo. Condo was great and I can't say enough about Cayman Villas staff there. Always a quick response and friendly service. Minor issue in bathroom tub resolved in hours. Broken beach umbrella replaced same day. Condo was perfect for family of four. We needed to Covid test twice while we were there and scheduled with Marriott next door. Maybe 20 minutes overall. Other than that it was a break from Covid. Rented a jeep for the week, plenty of room at the beach, loaded up with groceries at Kirks and Fosters which are both clean and safe. Almost every meal outdoors with all dinners at outdoor restaurants. New Year's eve fireworks fantastic. Locals and staff virtually everywhere are wonderful. The unique element to Cayman is the ability to explore, drive, shop safely (in addition to the phenomenal water/beaches) Get out there and enjoy what the island has to offer. My advice is that Cayman is for those taking Covid seriously. Isolate for a few days before you go. Make sure you are boosted. Wear a 95 mask on the flight and in stores and try to enjoy yourself. Most importantly protect yourself with travel/health insurance. It is very difficult for the travel industry there and they are trying to make a living. Favorite dining was Abacus and Brasserie for dinner, both phenomenal for local seafood. Take a drive to Macabuca at the Cracked Conch for outdoor lunch and drinks. Visit Camana Bay for great shopping and walking. Grab a couple of bottles at duty free liquor stores in airport and stock your room. Looking forward to returning again!

Regal beach did not disappoint. Having some of the amenities of a hotel, but the space of a condo was a joy. There was daily maid service, basic supplies ( toilet paper, soap, shampoo, paper towels, etc. ) were provided, and there were always chairs and umbrellas available at the pool. The location was walking distance to good restaurants, shops, and grocery stores. The Marriott right next-door provided a bar when we needed it. The condo was clean and comfortable. Check in and out was easy. The view from the patio was beautiful and great way to start the day. Patio furniture was provided so we could have breakfast every morning on the patio. We loved our stay at regal Beach condos and would definitely recommend it for others. We will be back.

The Regal Beach Club is a great property. However, the owners of #523 are simply horrible. Their advertisements shoe an amazing beach, yet when we arrived on 8/12/22, there was no beach - nothing! In addition, the owners were aware of an adjacent unit's renovation and did not disclose, giving us 3-4 days of jackhammering and construction noise. They have been totally unresponsive to our request for a partial refund as a result.

We spent 15 days at Regal Beach club in June 2022. It was our third Cayman trip and second time staying at Regal Beach. We stayed in 513 with our four kids and had the time of our lives.

We were nervous before going because we had read so much about the erosion and sea wall, and were worried about the lack of a beach. It was a non-issue. There was ample space to have two rows of reclining beach chairs and plenty of space to play in front of the chairs. The kids never suffered for lack of sand.

If you stay at Regal Beach you have access to the Marriott next door which has fabulous food and a great bar, and also have Coconut Joes and Peppers just across the street. The staff is friendly, prompt, and helpful. The tennis court is fun and generally not busy.

The biggest reason we love this spot is we can wake up, toss on a snorkel, walk into the water and see so many fish. The fish houses in front of the Marriott have fun new discoveries every day and the giant rocks beyond are just filled with so much to see. Our 11 and 12 year old kids could snorkel out there safely by themselves.

The condo is definitely dated in some aspects, but given this island is just emerging from stringent Covid restrictions, what we experienced was not at all unexpected of problematic. We would love to visit again and miss the excellent adventure already!

Stayed the last week of December 2022. Beach has eroded to allow only 1 row of beach lounge chairs. If you want a large beach area you need to stay in a place farther north on 7 Mile Beach near the Meridian, Westin, the Ritz, etc.
Grounds of complex are nicely landscaped. There seemed to be enough lounge chairs but many need to have the netting (that you sit on) replaced. There is NO hot tub at this complex. You will see pictures of something that looks like a hot tub but it’s actually just a whirlpool….not heated and has bubbles. The pool/kids pool/whirlpool are not heated.
Our unit was fine. Not 4 star but everything worked. There were many towels in the unit, shower towels and plenty of beach towels.
Location is good for Peppers Restaurant, Coconut Joe’s and restaurants at the Marriot next door.
We had a nice time and had no complaints about our actual unit, but next time we are in Grand Cayman we will stay farther north on 7 Mile Beach.

We just returned from a family vacation at the Regal Beach Club with our family of 5. We have 2 boys and 1 girl 10 and under and this place was perfect. We rented unit 612 which was clean, spacious and close to beach and pool. The ability to have a kitchen for breakfast, lunch, snacks, drinks etc was a game changer. We had friends stay at the Marriott so we were able to experience the amenities of the Marriott with the space and beach the RBC offered.

Let me address the beach situation. While smaller than what we heard the beach was historically, it was a non issue as there is room for 15 chairs and umbrellas and space at the water line to play and walk. The depth of the water in front of the RBC beach was perfect for our kids to play and snorkel everyday for hours. We got a couple of chairs everyday and enjoyed the beach and the pool. There is also plenty of seating on the elevated pool deck. The Marriott is right next store has literally no beach. All chairs and seatings is on the pool deck. I would not let the beach situation deter anyone from staying at the Regal Beach Club. Amazingly well kept grounds and our unit was in a perfect location. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great family getaway.

I was told that you likely stay in room at a discounted rate and if room was booked for another party they would be moved. I am uncertain though if you would be able to actually leave the room. In short, you do not want to test positive.
