Excellent service for my entire group of friends. Food and beverages were provided quickly and were delicious. Satheesh was great and very helpful with my party! They help with the umbrellas and made sure we remained hypdrated!
Loved all the attention to detail! Room service, turn down, etc! We certainly loved our ‘full attention’ service at poolside Vista. Each day, Dehemah served us w/her beautiful smile & bubbly personality! She certainly is a valued employee!
Dehemah was wonderful during our entire trip. Every day during our 8 day stay at the Marriott Dehemah was there with her beautiful smile bringing us drinks and her wonderful personality. She suggested her favorite local restaurant for our family celebration. Thanks Dehemah.
WOW - Dehemah at Vista Pool was AWESOME. So attentive and did a great job. She laughed with us and always had a smile. In fact, when we come back in June with the rest of our family and stay next door at a VRBO, we will come over and eat with Dehemah. See you in June Dehemah. The Grand Cayman Marriott Resort is listed as a 4 Star Hotel and receives 4.5 stars on the Marriott website. Both are hugely undeserved. The hotel is very shabby and worn in the lobby, the rooms, the bathrooms, the back patio and pool area. Paint is chipped on the baseboards and yellowed on the walls, elevators are worn and not clean, the bathrooms are very old and not updated, and the pool is much smaller than it appears on the website. AND, to add to all that, the beach at the Marriott washed away last year and this was not advertised. The steps at the back of the pool patio literally drop off into the ocean. The hotel provides a free shuttle to the public beach 15 minutes away. There is no way this is a 4 star hotel. That is the same level as the Ritz Carlton (also a Marriott affiliated hotel) on Grand Cayman. I dropped my reservation at the Ritz on this basis. Very sorry I did. I had to change my reservation to the Westin the day I arrived after seeing the very poor condition of the Marriott. This change more than doubled the cost of my vacation and was significantly more expensive than I would have paid at the Ritz with my advanced booking. Extremely disappointed in Marriott, their commitment to quality and their commitment to their Bonvoy members. It is embarrassing that Marriott still lists this as a 4 Star hotel and does not alert their loyal members regarding its condition.…
Staff are very friendly . Amazing experience. Great blend of hospitality terms of service food and drinks. Thanks to satheesh in vista. Look for him for the best. They have a very beautiful view. Will be come back for sure.
Great resort, staff and servers were great. Lot’s of fun activities, DJs, live music, and great food! We especially enjoyed when Dehemah was our server at the Vista bar, and the pool, She is super friendly and always smiling and saying hello.
Our stay here was horrible. The hotel has absolutely no beach. The water literally comes up to the hotel so the only place you can lay on a chair to take the sun is around the pool area and overlooking the water. They have about 1/4 the amount of chairs to accommodate all people staying at the hotel. Expect to have to get up at 6:30 to go down to get chairs and find you were just lucky enough to get the last three chairs squeezed in in front of the restaurant that will be given to someone else when you go for an hour long massage. I came back from my massage to find my beach bag, hat, sunscreen was all removed and taken away. My chair was given away to someone else. Absolutely infuriating!!! Not a good experience at all.
I had a great stay. Dehemah at the Vistia pool bar/ restaurant went above and beyond, she was great! Conroy you can’t beat him! Quick and pleasant, a real gentleman. The hotel got me great excursions and made sure I had a lounger. I would visit again.
We used a lot of Marriot points to enjoy a day at this resort and it was a complete waste! The front desk is downright awful. We were placed in the wrong room but I accepted it. We needed to use the sofa bed and when we went to put the bed together there were potato chips in the couch. When we opened the bed there was food on the mattress. Then there were no sheets in the room. Called the front desk and they said they would send someone immediately. 2 hours went by and no one showed. The next day we told the front desk and they shrugged their shoulders and smiled. They offered nothing. Otherwise the pool is so small it's almost pointless. The best part of the trip were the men working valet and luggage. They are the reason that this got 2 stars instead of 1.
