This was our first trip back post-covid restrictions. The hotel was at about 50% capacity, and just as wonderful as we remember. We were warmly greeted, and it felt like we were returning home. As others have said, the reason we keep returning to this property is the service. The beach is smaller than other seven-mile hotels (Ritz, Westin, etc), but we love the snorkeling right in front, and the extra calm water because of the natural reef + the reef ball project (man-made reef). The breakfast and restaurants were great. Sunday brunch is a must. Thank you RJ, Michael and Walter, and the rest of the amazing beach and Veranda/ Vista staff for a great trip. The only area for improvement: Rooms need a refresh. Its been a while since they have been renovated. Regardless, we hope to return next year!…
Writing this review from the Grand Cayman Airport having just left the MarriottMy family and I were here 4 years ago and loved it. When we daydreamed about where we wanted to go when we could travel again the Marriott was top of our wish list. Little did we know how much they have decided to step up. This is the kindest, hardest working group of employees I’ve ever experienced and we have traveled the world. Huge thanks to each and every one. So comfortable and comforting. Very relaxing water. Great place to de-stess. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Karl, Andre, and Noellea were the most hospitable and kind people we met on our whole trip! Karl and Andre truly greeted us with such friendliness and helped us get taxis whenever it was necessary. Noellea worked at the front desk and greeted us when we first came to the Marriott. She was smiling and helping us the minute we started talking to her! She was was very insightful and made our stay even more wonderful! Great experience, staff is wonderful, the only reason we’re giving a 4/5 was the food itself (speaking for lunch and dinner inside the hotel) was slightly underwhelming for its price, however breakfast was great!
We got there a little early and room was not ready so we had a late lunch and by the time we finished room was ready.... We did get upgraded which is not unusual and were happy with our rooms, the first time we showered the tub was clogging and took a while to go down which they were able to fix the next day. then we went to use the ice machine and it's not working and never worked the rest of the week. I will say that the entire staff was excellent from Stephanie at front desk to Grant who was in Valet and the beach side bartenders and servers in the restaraunt and they young man on night duty at the front desk. All service was excellent......
We have vacationed at many Caribbean islands and Grand Cayman is now officially our favorite. As far as the Marriott, great location, great food options, friendly staff, close to many other activities (food, shopping, water sports). Not a new property but well maintained with a modern vibe.
This was my second time visiting the Marriott and it needs some updates but the staff make the difference. This trip Emira and Juan Carlos made the difference for me. I thought my bedding could've been a little better and so they immediately came to my room and changed every part of my linens happily and apologized for the inconvenience. I travel a lot and understand that mistakes will happen, but it's how you handle it that makes the difference. Today they brought their A game.
We stayed for 8 nights . All the staff was amazing, from the housekeeping staff to Kerry Ann, the concierge. I travel a lot for work at home and hotel service is still pretty apathic in the US. This was such a refreshing change of pace! Food is great in both restaurants, bellman were friendly and gave great restaurant recommendations. We had a great time! The beach was narrower than some resorts but still beautiful and not crowded.
Hands down a fantastic Saturday breakfast treat . Martin ( Czech) and Miren ( Filipina ) were absolutely amazing ! He, so attentive, ensuring that we had the best breakfast experience ever ! Honestly if you come to the Marriott restaurant, you need to ask for Martin because he will make sure you have such an amazing time! Delicious !!!!! I particularly enjoyed the grilled halloumi and a naughty breakfast Espresso Martini ! Yummy . Bravo Martin and all the breakfast service staff.
This hotel is all about service. From the moment you walk in, they are so welcoming. They always have a smile. They make you feel special. This resort is so clean you could eat off the floor. I have read reviews were people mention the beach is small. First off that is not their fault. Most of the hotels/condos have lost their beaches. They make up for it with some of the BEST SNORKELING of anywhere on the island. We saw SEA TURTLES right by the pods. How cool is that. The food is freaking amazing. Top notch food. The drinks are so good. We have also stayed at the Ritz on the island years back and it was great but we chose here because we like it better. We can't wait to go back in 2 years. Thanks for an amazing week!!!
Hands down best brunch on the island. Gustavo was absolutely amazing ! He was so attentive at brunch that we had the best day ever ! Honestly if you come to the Marriott you need to ask for Gustavo because he will make sure you have such an amazing time! Delicious !!!!!
