Kimpton Seafire Resort sets a very high bar for other resorts to match!!
My wife and I just spent 6 glorious nights at the Kimpton Seafire Resort. Like many previous Kimpton reviewers we’re also seasoned travelers. The staff at the Kimpton Seafire Resort makes you feel welcomed and appreciated! My wife and I spent everyday asking ourselves if we’ve experienced better service anywhere and the answer was a resounding “NO”! The Kimpton Seafire has set the benchmark for all other resorts and hotels! From the moment you step on the property you’re engulfed in first class service; a bellman takes your bags, there were two people already being helped at the registration desk so a staff member whisked us to another area where someone helped with our registration. We were offered a glass of sparkling rose while we registered. Before we could finish the drink our registration was complete and we were on our way to our room where the bellman had just dropped off our luggage taking a few moments to explain the details of the room and the resort. There was housekeeping service every morning and turndown service every night. The nice thing about the Kimpton Seafire is that it’s not a huge resort so it doesn’t feel too crowded. We didn’t use the pool area but friends did. The pool is a good size and there are a lot of chairs and umbrellas. My wife and I spent every day on the beach. The beach staff are excellent! They set up your chairs and umbrellas, explained how to order food and drinks, they bring frozen grapes and pop icicles…a very pleasant, friendly experience! There are cabanas to rent, we didn’t as there were plenty of spaces to sit. The beach area is beautiful!! The water 84, clear and calm!! Again, not too crowded at all! We did eat lunch on the beach every day. It was as simple as raising a red flag, a staff member takes your order and a short time later the meal is delivered! One note there are friendly chickens and roosters on the beach. We enjoyed having them around!!! We had breakfast and dinner at the main restaurant on site. The food at dinner had a Spanish influence and was very good! Other amenities; I used the gym every day, it was clean, had a couple of flat benches, free weights, a few stationary bikes and treadmills. We did not use the spa, there were no appointments available as the times were booked before we arrived so you may want to call ahead for a spa appointment. There is coffee in the lobby early in the morning, oddly there is no tea. The coffee shop hours are 7:00AM-7:00 PM. The coffee shop staff were two of my favorite staff!! The coffee shop has cakes/ coffee/ soft drinks etc. There is a gift shop on site but it doesn’t sell general sundries (pharmacy type stuff) but has clothing and jewelry. We went on a catamaran/ snorkeling trip using Red Sail, the on-site activity company. They’re also very nice and we had an excellent snorkeling experience! Friends took morning paddle board yoga classes and had a great time.Their gift shop sells clothes, hats t-shirts. Wrapping up; the island is very clean, the water warm and clear. I don’t know how the Kimpton Resort does it but the staff is the best we’ve encountered, they know your name, are friendly and while it’s easy to pretend to care, you can tell the staff really does!! Thank you Kimpton Seafire for a wonderful vacation!!!

    Top Notch Resort!
I wanted a special trip for our family celebration in honor of my 60th birthday in December 2019. The Kimpton Seafire Resort, recommended by our travel agent from ProTravel, absolutely delivered! From the minute we pulled up to the front door to the minute we left, the friendly attentive full service was evident. We were greeted by our always smiling concierge Kimberley and she ensured that our every need was attended to each day. Always available, she helped with any and everything from arranging for some excursions to a special birthday celebration for me. My husband had planned a surprise dinner on the beach and literally 5 minutes before we were to be seated, a short but heavy rainstorm blew through. The dinner set up was soaked and we had to alter our plans. Arpi, the general manager of the Coccolopa restaurant on the property bent over backwards to salvage the celebration. He was amazing! And the food was delicious. In addition, my youngest daughter’s birthday also fell during our travel week and so there were surprise plans for her with the most amazingly decorated cake and cookies waiting for us upon our return from dinner. Hats off to the pastry chefs! Every day began with a bountiful and delicious buffet breakfast. There were plenty of lounges available on the beach along with beach service for food and drink. The staff at the water activities were also very helpful and the rooms were impeccably kept and stocked by the cheerful housekeeping services. It was a wonderful vacation and we’ll be back!! Highly recommend!!
Dear Wendy, Thank you so much for sharing your experience, most importantly we are very happy to know you had a superb time! We can't wait to have you back! Kind Regards, Steven Andre General Manager

Great but expensive trip to the Kimpton
There is no question that this a spectacular hotel with phenomenal service, but at crazy prices during the holiday. The Hotel, in my opinion, is the best on the beach. It is maintained impeccably and is sleek and modern. The rooms are very nice, although, they could have made them a little larger. The greatest thing is that while our friends at the Ritz and Westin were walking up at 6:00 am to fight for beach chairs we never had an issue here. While the pool chairs fill up early we had no issues getting beach chairs at 9, 11 or even 2pm on various days. We also had cabanas on some days which is a nice but expensive option. The attendants at the beach are the nicest, most helpful attendants we have ever encountered at any hotel. Anything you needed they did for you and did it quick. We ate AVE (hotel restaurant) for breakfast and dinner and it was excellent. The breakfast is really exceptional. There are two negatives, however, that we encountered one of which could be a positive depending upon what you're looking for in your trip. While we liked this Hotel overall better than the Ritz, the Ritz has a lively lobby bar with both bar seating and tables and restaurants close by. There is a lively atmosphere both before and after dinner if you want to have a drink and hang out with friends or family. The Kimpton has a tiny lobby bar with no real atmosphere and on the two nights we were at the Bar at Ave it was also pretty much dead with no real atmosphere. You can hear a pin drop in the lobby after dinner. The second issue which is surprising is the lack of a very good lunch option. The kimpton is secluded on one end of the beach and unless you want to spend 40-50 dollars on the ridiculously priced taxis to go to lunch somewhere else even a mere 5 minutes away, your stuck at cocoloba the hotel beachside restaurant. We ate there once and ordered to our chairs on other days, Surprisingly the cups on the table were worn old plastic cups and the decor is drab. The food options are quite limited and uninspiring and the quality is average to below average. It is surprising that a hotel of this caliber would not have an outstanding lunch restaurant. Overall though this is a terrific hotel with terrific service.
Hi there! We are so glad to know you had an overall great stay at Kimpton Seafire. At the same time we truly thank you for your feedback and suggestions, be sure they will be taken into consideration. We hope to see you back soon! Kind regards Steven Andre General Manager

Fantastic hotel with great food and drinks. They upgraded us to suite with a beautiful view. The Ave restaurant is killer with great cocktails. The Library has some of the best mixologists around that are friendly and knowledgeable. Maids came frequently and the room service was the fastest I’ve ever experienced anywhere.

Our family of stayed in a 2bed/2 bath suite and had a personal concierge, Alicia. We needed distilled water, I texted her, within an hour it was delivered to our room. We needed lactose free dairy pills (yes, I know it sounds odd), she found them on the island and had them delivered to us. My kids loved the welcome juice they provided at checkin, she sent a special bottle with glasses up every night. Outstanding, impeccable service. The food was excellent, the resort was immaculate, rooms were gorgeous and spot on. Spa was phenomenal and so were our excursions. This was a 30k week and worth every penny.

This hotel had the BEST service ever! Staff were friendly and helpful. Always willing to help you and actually cared if you were comfortable and enjoying your stay. During the turndown service, Rose would leave us little sweets (cookies) which was so cute and thoughtful. Great touch. :) Yoga was amazing during my visit at the hotel, yoga mats are provided to you and it was very relaxing. The Ave restaurant had the best meal and the drinks and dessert was great. We celebrated a birthday and staff provided my friend with a card signed by all restaurant staff, such a sweet touch. The bar, Library by the Sea had great drinks and friendly staff as well. We stopped by during our entire visit. They also had live music during our stay. I have no complaints other than there could be music at the pool and maybe more places to grab food or drinks after 9pm. I will definitely be back KIMPTON!

Elevate your lodging experience with going with a 5 star hotel like Kimpton Seafire Resort in Grand Cayman. This exclusive resort has every amenity you would want while being treated like a celebrity or a gillionaire. I'm neither but during my recent stay I felt like both. The modern and chic decor in this resort will make you be a returning customer. Did I mention it's situated on 7 mile Beach ⛱️ with watersports, upscale restaurants, family friendly services, an adult luxury spa on site and much more. The staff are friendly and professional and ready to make you feel like you are in paradise because you are. Our personal interaction with Melissa, Constanta, Cavene, Andre, Donovan, Shawn and too many to mention all made us feel like we were celebrating 🍾 a holiday even though we were not. The exterior grounds were well manicured with tropical plants and trees surrounding all areas to include the pool area that has a hot tub, stylish cabanas, clamshells and multiple lounging chairs. I'm NOT being compensated for this review but I wanted to share my luxury experience I had at Kimpton Seafire Resort. My stay allowed me to press RESET...PAUSE... and Live Laugh and Love during my entire stay. I hope to see you there during my return visit real soon!

I recently visited the Kimpton Seafire Resort and want to take a moment to mention one of your staff members that I encountered. A lady that was attending to the Mini Bars by the name of Dunia Phillips was so friendly and knowledgeable about the hotel and the amenities offered. She genuinely went out of her way to ensure that my needs were met and questions answered.
