Great Dive Resort with immediate access off the shore to reef diving day or night. Completed over 20 dives in six days none of them disappointed. Most of the dives were boat dives with 2 night dives. Great dive crew and dive shop. Indian cuisine was exceptional!

Thanks Tracy, It was great to see you again and look forward to another fantastic visit. Thanks for acknowledgement for the dive crew and yes, the Indian food on the menu blows everyone away, especially our guests who have never tried it. #soflavorful Have a wonderful day. Keith More

A group of 16 of us went to Sunset House for a week of diving. My husband and I upgraded to a suite. It was very nice. The restaurant/bar was ok. The waitresses (90% of them) were all very rude! A tip is automatically included into your bill. So the wait staff do not have to work for or earn... More

Our third trip. Perfect for our needs. We love the Sunset house reef for shore diving. Our room was upgraded, thanks to Keith and Karin. We love it there and plan to go back. The staff is helpful, friendly and very attentive.

Sunset House's tagline "built for divers by divers" is totally appropriate. Located on the west side of the island (minutes away by boat from top notch dive sites), easy access shore diving, on site dive shop (air & nitrox), photo & gift shop, open air restaurant/tiki bar, pool comfortable rooms and great service .... you can't ask for anything more.

A week at a resort designed by Diver's for Diver's.  I would highly recommend this resort and the on-site dive shop to everyone.  The dives were amazing- 2 every morning from the boat and unlimited shore dives. Everything from Trinity Caves to the Kittywake wreck to swimming with Amphirite, the 9 foot mermaid just offshore of your room.  The food... More

Went to Sunset House with Pan Aqua diving and had a great time. The dive shop and dive guides are totally great - Ollie, Scuba Steve, and the Frenchie (Michael) made our dives an excellent experience. The hotel itself is not fancy but the staff are friendly and it is the spot for diving in Grand Cayman. I also found... More

The front desk staff are great, the camera shop has everything-including last minute dive supplies, and the dive staff was amazing! Reed and his staff work 10 hour days, but are always courteous and smiling. They never miss a thing, and go out of their way to ensure you had a great dive. Our room was spacious, and comfortable. The... More

My wife and allowed too much time to lapse since our last dive so recertification was needed. So we snorkel. Went to Sunset House as it had shore diving and a sea water pool with direct access through the jagged shore line right in front of the hotel. Weather was a problem for the first few days with waves breaking... More

Sunset House under Karin & Keith has gotten better. After a 3 year absence we returned to Sunset House for our 15th stay and as great as it was, it has grown better. The hotel team and the dive team plus the restaurant and My Bar remains an example of efficient quality with genuine pride. During trying weather conditions, the... More

Stayed at Sunset House two years on first trip to Cayman Islands and wasn't disappointed. Returned this year and found the rooms were still great, the staff incredibly friendly and helpful and the dive shop, as always, is top notch. Sal, Steve and Davide were great on the boat and in the water. Amazingly we only dove two sites from... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
I've have found the beginning of why so many people love Sunset House, Grand Cayman's Hotel for Divers, by Divers. "Stepping out of my room, feeling the sunshine on my face, catching that breath of fragrant tropical breeze, gazing into the alluring blue water..". More profound words were never spoken! This family owned resort is more of a big guest house, than a hotel. Everything you have dreamed for a Caribbean Dive Vacation is here! From palm trees to an amazing house reef; from 5 custom dive boats, to a famous underwater photographer; from amazing Caribbean concoctions, to spicy Indian dishes; they all await you! And combined with warm Caymanian hospitality, you'll wonder why you waited so long to visit this West Indian oasis, or why you haven't come back sooner. Of course, the Caymans and Sunset House are a diver's paradise, with crystal-clear waters awaiting your arrival. Come to Sunset House today and experience now, what others have seen for over the last 50 years. An underwater photographer's perfect dive. Shipwrecks, curious big eels, cuddly stingrays and a legendary mermaid await you just steps from your room! ... more   less
