We stayed in studio cottage Ty-Gwair, compact but had everything you need. Very clean, lovely welcome basket and beautiful surroundings. Stayed there in May for 3 nights, typical Welsh weather meant it was raining most of the time, but the living flame fire kept us lovely and warm and dried our things. Beautiful scenery, especially when the sun comes out!... More

Stayed in this beautiful place for 3 nights but wish it had been 3 weeks .... perfect in every way. The barn is very well equipped & everything is of a very high standard. The surrounding countryside is breathtaking & we loved waking up to the sound of chickens, ducks & sheep. Gwion & Louise & their family are the... More

Well what can I say about this cottage! Very clean , well equipped, great loft bedroom. The owners had thought of every thing. Great welcome basket and info folder. My daughters loved Dell the collie, bringing us her stick to throw every day , the animals went down great too. Everyone was very friendly and the break was just what... More

Me and my daughter stayed here in September. The farm is in the middle of nowhere and wifi is limited which made the trip more enjoyable. We were given great accommodation and a good hearty breakfast every morning. There is so much to do locally and every September there is a walking festival in Barmouth which was the reason for... My daughter and I spent a week in this lovely part of Northern Wales, using Byrdir as our base. Whilst the village is accessible on foot, a car really is a necessity to explore the surrounding countryside. Wifi is available in the farmhouse lounge room, but not in Nant itself. (No 'phone signal either. ) Given that walking is an... More

The farm is situated in the middle of nowhere in a very quiet and stunning landscape with wonderful views to the sea and also to the mountains. We stayed in one of their self-catering cottages. The cottage, a former barn, is in good conditions with a nice living room and two bed rooms – everything clean and nicely furnished. The... More

Where to begin it is tucked away in a beautiful rural setting with lovely views. Inside was stunning too. Spotlessly clean and very comfy. The owners are really friendly and welcoming and you can tell they have pride in what they do. Breakfast is delicious too! Within walking distance of beach and village. It really is a perfect place to... More

We travelled a long way from Hong Kong early this month for a 2-week trip around the UK. Picture this scenario in your mind - after a long and exhausting flight journey we picked up our car at Manchester airport. We drove from Manchester to Snowdonia and following saf nav we arrived at the top of a hill with an... More

I've been visiting for around 8 years now and once again we were made most welcome. My second visit this year. I took a group to stay at Byrdir for the weekend and we took all 5 of the studio bedrooms. Gwion & Louise looked after us a treat. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were all spotless as... We spent 3 nights in the Stabal-Byrdir room. The fireplace and loft king-size bed give the room a cozy and intimate feeling. The country-side around Byrdir is quiet and picturesque. The owners were more than helpful and very friendly. We truly enjoyed our stay in Wales and would recommend Byrdir to anyone.
