Stayed a week in March, great property and grounds! Villas have high end furnishings and all the amenities you could need. The owner Fiona was great to work with. Will definitely be back again. Location is also great and only a few minutes to everything you need.

Beautiful location, quiet and away from crowds of 7 mile beach which is teaming with cruise ship passengers during the day. Avocado cottage is clean and the view of the ocean is spectacular from both bedrooms. A rental car is really needed to get to and from grocery and other locations. There is a good grocery store “Fosters” which is only a 7 minute drive. There is a liquor store in the same location as well. The kitchen in the cottage is well stocked with cooking utensils. The non stick pans are showing some wear but nothing a lot of butter won’t resolve. It’s your vacation anyway so calories don’t count. It’s too rough to swim from shore here ( lots of coral) but you can walk to Barker’s state park and swim from there if you can handle waves. It’s a 7 minute drive to Cemetery Beach and a 15 minute drive to downtown Georgetown. It’s a 10 minute drive to The Cracked Conch restaurant which has an outdoor bar area called Macabuca where you can get cocktails and great food and watch the sun go down. Then you can watch the divers descend and swim with their lights lighting up the ocean. Or if your brave dive yourself here as there are steps going into a deep area. There are feral chickens all over the island so if you are a light sleeper bring earplugs so you can sleep through the roosters who start crowing by 4 am. Mattresses in Avocado cottage are very soft and probably should be replaced but the couch is comfy for a nap and the dining table wonderful. Outdoors there are lots of places to sit and enjoy the sound and site of the ocean. The pool is beautiful and clean and there are lots of places to sit or lie either in the shade or sun. There is usually a strong breeze outdoors so mosquitos are not a problem except at dusk when no matter where you are on the island they will come for you. It’s an hour and half drive to Rum Point where you can take a nighttime tour of bioluminescent bay , one of 5-6 of its kind in the world. No mosquitos when you are on the bay but since yours leave at 7:15 pm waiting there are eating dinner at Rum Point before the tour you will need mosquito repellent as they are fierce there. Cayman Kayaks has an electric boat tour as well as glass bottom kayaks. Some of our family chartered dives and getting to those areas are just a 10 -15 minute drive. But by far and away the best thing to do is sit and read a book while listening to the sound of the ocean and birds singing while you enjoy a cup of coffee outside in the morning with a temperature of 80 degrees in February.

A group of 17 of us girls stayed on the property for a girls trip bachelorette weekend. The property is spectacular and beautiful! There are 4 “cottages” that really are homes with huge living room space, nice updated and clean bathrooms and kitchens. The pool is big and there were plenty of lounge chairs and great outdoor eating space. There is a stairway right down to a private beach, just need water shoes because it is a bit rocky. Fiona the property owner is lovely and was a great help to us in every way! She helped us coordinate taxis throughout the weekend, a private chef to come to the house, and even took us to the liquor store. Overall it was an excellent stay and I would definitely go back!!!

Our family rented Papaya cottage and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Fiona was so kind and helpful - she helped arrange transportation after our unexpected late flight arrival meant we couldn't get our rental car...she even brought food to the cottage since we had had nothing to eat all day, and took us to the car rental office the next morning. The cottages are clean, bright and modern with great amenities (even the rollaway bed was comfortable). The quiet and peaceful setting was just what we were hoping for, to avoid crowds. Paddleboards, kayaks and snorkeling gear were available for our use. The property is adjacent to a nature preserve which was a great route for a run, and Ristorante Papagallo was a short walk. The pool and cabanas were great and we spent a couple of nights hanging out with the other families who were staying which was really nice. Getting to 7-mile beach was a quick 10-15 minute drive. We are glad we rented a car, since the quiet location means a little more driving. This is the perfect place to stay if you don't want hotel rooms, and are craving a serene location.
