The staff seem to be friendly enough although booking in advance would be advisable. The starters are lovely..the main course however...maybe it was just a bad day for mains! A very busy restaurant maybe to many customers to satisfy their the demand.

Me and a few friends were in over the weekend and had terrible customer service from restaurant manager Olga. She was rude very, unhelpful and made us feel uncomfortable as she starred at our table to try and clear our table as there where high occupancy numbers! I was also shocked by how she treats her staff. Definitely would not... More

My partner and myself dine here on a regular basis, mostly on a saturday evening or Sunday lunch. The food at The Derg Arms is so tasty. Real good home cooked food. The staff are always very pleasant and attentive and the food and drinks are very reasonably priced. Well done everyone at the Derg Arms

Had a great evening at my Dads 80th birthday meal and party on 31st October. The food was great and the service also. The staff couldn't have done enough for us. From putting up the decorations to organising an area for music, dance and a slideshow (even though this was not requested initially). They were also very patient and courteous... More

The atmosphere was cosy and welcoming, the service was friendly and speedy. The food was delicious and the portion size was perfect for lunchtime. The bill was extremely reasonable, I will definitely return for the evening menu again with my family.

I eat here on a regular basis as I work in the area. I have never had a bad meal out of the Derg Arms and would recommend it to anyone. The coffee and scones out of Mona's Front Room are lovely also. What really makes it special is the fantastic staff who make you feel part of the family.... More

Great food, friendly service. Parking is handy. I know ppl who would travel miles for the steak. The staff try to help their guests. Prices are reasonable. the tea room is a new venture, has good coffee.

Not nearly as good as its near neighbour Redpepper but standard pub grub willingly served and ,if one steers clear of the steaks, reasonable value. The one waitress scurries around and tries hard but ,unsurprisingly, gets very stretched when more than a few tables are occupied. Essentially this is a refuelling stop.
