Every second of this trip was spectacular! All the staff especially Butlers Mani and Clement made our vacation absolutely perfect. The rooms, the view, the spa, Rum Room and restaurants were absolutely amazing. Highly recommend this resort for a special time. We can’t wait to go back!
Just returned from an eight night stay at Rosewood little DIX Bay. Really cannot say enough great things about this resort and the staff. The renovation is gorgeous the property is more beautiful than ever. We stayed in the grand pool suite and was it ever grand. I wouldn’t change one thing about the room it was perfect. I believe this was new construction added to the property when Rosewood took over in 2017. The attention to detail and having it blend in with the original resort was outstanding. I thought the tile wall in the bathroom mimicking the original rock walls from Rockefellers “rock resort“ architecture was a very nice touch. I am including pictures of the bathroom because it is not showing on the website and it is gorgeous. The outdoor shower has the original rock style wall and you can see the interior modern take on this. The resort itself is situated on a lovely private bay with a white sand beach and ample shade for those who want it. We were blessed with gorgeous sunsets every night we stayed. The resort is just getting going after a Covid shut down so the occupancy was low while we visited. Nonetheless The resort was staffed fully with every amenity available to the few guests who were there. It is very challenging to get there due to restrictions from the BVI government, but it was so worth it. The butler feature really makes the experience special. We had a tagteam of two highly qualified service professionals, Prada and Rodney made sure that everything we needed or wanted was accommodated in the most gracious way. Highly recommend to anyone who wants a pristine relaxing place to reconnect And recharge post pandemic!…
The staff was so friendly and accommodating. They were also quick with food and beverage orders which can sometimes be tricky in the Caribbean. We loved the hotel GM Valmar - she was lovely and spent time talking to us and upgraded us because we were celebrating! We loved the butlers Elisha and Alson! They made our trip so easy helping us with everything from boat charters to dinner reservations and spa services. They even opened the spa up early for us so we could get treatments. They have cars on property to rent which makes exploring super easy. The food was amazing- healthy, fresh and thoughtful! I would return for sure- counting down the days until next time little Dix!
We arrived via Boat coming from Guana Island. Check-in was easy and fast, our bungalow (actually the left side of it) had a pool and a nice view of the bay. Everything was well maintained and everything worked fine. Spa: great experience, nice setting. Breakfast: continental was included; the surcharge for two fried eggs a bit hefty. Staff: very friendly, very helpful. Generally speaking, the Rosewood Little Dix is a nice, sophisticated holiday destination. Drawback: it´s a bit isolated from the rest of the world. And when fully booked it´ll become a bit noisy and too crowded at the "in" spots (bars, Dinner). Advantage: it´s a bit isolated from the rest of the world ;) Fluctuation of guests seems to be high, probably average stay is only 3 nights. Mostly frequented by US tourists. For us from Europe it´s expensive, particularly considering other destinations (Seychelles, Far East, South Pacific). Summary: very solid 4 Stars.…
It’s a lovely resort. Great staff, rooms, boats and restaurants. Do not under any circumstance fly Silver Airlines into Tortola. They failed to transport our luggage on arrival, and our entire family’s on departure. I can say more about what a terrible airline it is, but about Little Dix: we loved it!
Wonderful location with an amazing view and white sand beaches. One of the most luxurious places I have ever stayed and I travel extensively. We had a family vacation with older kids and grandma and our cottage was 10 steps from the beach. The water was amazing and not cold with large sea turtles in the water! Snorkeling is available for free with equipment provided as well as Hobie Cats, Paddle boards and a kayak. Each unit is assigned a butler who really makes this experience special and provides for your every need. They arranged Covid tests, offsite, special meals, transport and all that we needed on shifts. The property was built by the Rockefeller’s and was featured in the Crown series about the Queen as her and Phillip loved to visit. I can see why thee Queen would visit here. Taken over by the international Rosewood hotel group. The property was wiped out by Hurricane Irma in 2017 and completely rebuilt in 2019. Only the Pavilion survived the Hurricane. I would avoid going in August and September the height of hurricane season but ok otherwise to travel Food was very well done and about what we expected at their multiple resort restaurants. Prices for food and alcohol was about 50% more than what we would pay at home but we expected this at a 5 star resort on a remote island and unfortunately are used to expensive resort restaurants. I wish they would have some cheaper options like burgers on the beach. In general meals were close to $100/person with wine and cocktails. Even breakfast was expensive but our package included it for free. I only had one complaint and that was the resort sponsored taxi service that was a total ripoff as they charge a per person supplement instead of a flat rate for mileage. We had 7 people and went for a lunch off site to Hog Heaven a 20min car ride at mountain top which was worth the view. They wanted to charge me $26/person return which was $182 to go to a lunch. For a resort at this price point they should provide a taxi service for free for short trips. We saw a couple of young kids but this resort is mostly for young newlyweds on a honeymoon (we saw plenty) or older couples who can afford the rates or families like us doing a special celebration. It’s not easy to get there but worth the hassle as you fly into the US Virgin Islands and then must take an private charter boat on 1.5 hour fast bumpy ride in open water of the Atlantic Ocean to Tortola to clear UK customs and then back the same way when time to get home. They can organize a nurse to do an on-site Covid test for $130/person which was pricey. The website says they take credit cards for this expense but she offered a cash rate of $125/person and when we told her we did not carry that much cash for 7 she claimed that the credit card processing was not working. We had a standoff until we just told her we did not have enough cash and then magically she made it work. We had this same experience with the taxi who much preferred cash and we only found out later that we could charge the taxi to our room. I get it that these providers prefer cash so that they don’t have to pay taxes or run it through an agency but this felt inappropriate for a resort of this level to offer credit card payment and claim it was not working to force a cash transaction. This needs to be addressed These were only minor distractions to an otherwise amazing experience. We would go back once we save our pennies to afford another trip…
While the property, accomodations and food were all outstanding at this property, it was the truly exceptional service provided by our butler Alson that really helped separate this hotel from the rest of the luxury island properties. Alson anticipated our every need and went above and beyond to deliver on our everyone of our requests. When you book this hotel (and you should!), make sure to request Alson!
Gorgeous property, fabulous staff and service, excellent food. We loved our beachfront suite just steps away from the stunning white sand and turquoise waters. Food and service was World Class and the entire staff is wonderful and friendly.
I was very pleased to meet with the team at Rosewood Little Dix Bay hotel, in the lovely British Virgin Islands 🇻🇬 (Virgin Gorda)! Everyone was extremely professional and welcomed my wife and I with kindness and professionalism! Huge thank you to Ayman, Nadia, Khoy, Carole, Lucie, and all the others for this unforgettable and outstanding experience. I really look forward to visiting again this hotel and spending good time there. All the best, Mohamed El Astal
Little Dix Bay and the Rosewood staff are absolutely outstanding! Can’t wait to come back! Food and service were world class and the excursions on Virgin Gorda and surrounding islands were terrific! Saba Rock and Necker Island are musts. Next time we are going to hit other local islands like Anegada. Get a Moke and drive the island!
