Nanny Cay Resort and Marina is a convenient and comfortable hotel with an old school Caribbean feel. Everything you need is an easy walk from your room and throughout the resort you'll find friendly and helpful staff. Dine in one of the three bars/restaurants, shop for souvenirs or enjoy an iced coffee at the coffee shop. You can also do a yoga class on the deck overlooking the beach, join a day sail or dive trip, rent a power boat or car, right from the marina, or spend the day chilling by the pool or on the beach. Leave the hustle and bustle behind and really unwind in tropical breezes and balmy evenings.

Marina personnel does not care about how you approach, how long you will stay and which way is safer in their jetty during an ordinary fuel up process. We never entirely depended on them and you will probably better on your own.. Once again we never entirely depended on their guidance or expected an extra effort from them. As you cannot foresee when the guy at the jetty decides to talk over his phone. We scratched our hull, while the captain was continuously asking whether he is close or not. All we hoped to learn if we are close to the jetty from his angle. The surprising response from the personnel, who suddenly decided to chat over the telephone, was "I do not care if you are close or not, you are the captain". I ate Jimmy's steak sandwich and we also had mahi mahi sandwich. Food was cold and nothing special. The cheese on top of the overcooked steak was the worst by far, comparing to other places I ate in the Islands. The Lady who took our orders was the only nice thing happened to us in this place. Yes, the location of this Marina is heavenly and that's why it is sad to witness that the current management is ruining this beautiful place.

This place had a nice relaxed atmosphere in which to grab a drink and enjoy chilling beachside, and they had some beach games like Jamaican ring toss and giant connect four for the kids. It was a great place to grab a late afternoon drink. They had clean restroom facilities as well.

We rented a boat from Island Time at Nanny Cay in Tortola (highest TA rating). It was a power boat, not a sailboat. We went island to island over three days and had a wonderful time. The marina hotel offers a discount if you are renting from Island Time. Make sure to ask for it. The marina is the most functional since Irma hit last year. We usually were out of Pussers at west end. It was devistated and most buildings and stores are still closed. Would not advise basing out of there. Nanny Cay is the place to go with shops, fuel, restaurants and the hotel. Most of the hotel has been redone. Still not up to 100% rooms. The rooms are what you would expect at a marina, two story, well built, cinderblock and newly appointed. Most rooms have a frig, be sure to ask. It was very reasonably priced compared to VRBO and other hotel options. Friendly staff. Enjoy!!!

We've been coming to the BVI since 2004 and we're always impressed by the incredibly forward-thinking anti-smoking laws. Back when cities in North America and Europe were only beginning to invoke the most modest of laws, the BVI had an outright ban in public places. How ironic that after the rest of the western world have finally embraced similar laws and are vigilant in their enforcement, the BVI has completely let down their guard. We have not only noticed more smoking at bars and restaurants over the past three visits, but that one of our favourite places, Nanny Cay, is the worst offender. Not only do tourists openly smoke at both PegLegs and Gennakers restaurants, but so do staff and other workers. There is even a "Smoking Area" sign at PegLegs, though people smoke wherever they like. Sorry to post this exclusively to Nanny Cay when there are other offenders, but as the best-run marina in the BVI, they are perhaps more likely to fix the problem.

My husband and I stayed in the hotel for a two week vacation. We were aware that rebuilding is still an ongoing process after the terrible devastation of the hurricanes. It was no surprise to us that the people of the island are amazing and resilient. The staff at the hotel and beach are amazing!! Warm, friendly and happy to help make your stay wonderful. Shout outs to hotel staff, Jillian, Debora and Crystal at the front desk. Who were always ready to help with a smile. The rooms were clean and well air conditioned. Jenny, our room cleaner was awesome, she was able to find us a full size coffee maker and dishes to use for our stay. The beach bar staff are super, and attentive, a fun place to hang out. The beach is never crowded which is a bonus! And Krissen is always happy to bring you lounge chairs. All in all, a fantastic time. We’ve already booked for next Feb!
