My wife and I just returned from a spectacular week at Simpson Bay Villas! The Resort and people who work there are pretty amazing! Gibson-- who works at the Villas-- did something very special for our Anniversary--He had our room decorated with flowers and it was beautiful! We didn't ask for anything---he just did it! And this is our first time there! A wonderful oasis after traveling all day overlooking Simpson Bay and dozens of catamarans!!! There's a full kitchen with big fridge and ice-maker. Coffee pot and everything you need, pot, pans, toaster, oven, etc.. to cook a quick or fancy meal. We made breakfast a few days and ate on the balcony! There's a big 60" TV in bedroom! Separate living room with another TV and comfy sofas and chairs--sliders to the balcony overlooking gorgeous pool with swim up bar and the bay. Resort has good restaurants --and you never have to leave the property. Steakhouse, Mexican, and Italian, as well as a French Bistro, and a Sports Bar with good bar pizza. Also a small Casino on site! Mostly slots--but fun anyway!! We ate out most nights--Many beach spots to eat within walking distance. Greenhouse, Buccaneer, Lee's Roadside Grill, and many others within a mile. There's a good but expensive grocery store with liquor off property on the corner. We stocked up on water, milk, eggs, butter, bread, chips, etc.. Recommend a car to see the beauty of the island and take advantage of the great restaurants...although the resort does offer FREE shuttle service which we didn't use but worked well for others. There's a swim up bar--and a beach bar with Happy hour every day 3-5pm. Special shout out to Izzy at pool bar and the best waitress ever--Stacey Ann at Coco's (beach bar). But everyone we met was kind, friendly and always smiling!! Incredibly helpful as we had plenty of questions and we became fast friends with a few during the week. Resort has plenty of parking, a marina dock for boat rides thru Aqua Mania--on-site office---We did a nice sunset dinner cruise on a catamaran--highly recommend. There's 4-5 other pools, a full gym, a lobby coffee shop, on site jewelry store--a full spa-(although we didn't go) for massages and a piano bar! There's even a small grocery store on-site where you can find the basics you need to hold you over. Prices were average for the island. Royal has thought of everything to make your vacation extra special. Even check out with Veronica was a breeze---10 minutes tops! Got us squared away as we were sadly leaving for the airport to fly home. We can't wait to return and wouldn't go anywhere else. Our new favorite resort on this Friendly Island. Please don't miss this place if you're trying to decide --you won't regret it!…
Villas at Simpson Bay was a great resort. Superb location and view right on the Bay, Very Nice Room with great food and pool access. The staff were superb and made our stay memorable. Location was convenient, close to everything. All at a reasonable price. I would want to return.
Really good pool, A/C, tv and TV channels, hot water, staff, food. But after leaving needed to call them (lost item) and found phone numbers for FL, France, and local but all went to their reservation office and being a Sunday morning no one answered. There is not even a phone number on the bill I had. So I had to hop into a taxi and round trip was $40...why, because they don't give out a local number!
We spent a wonderful 11 nights at the Villas. Our room was really big with two double beds, and small kitchenette, and a his & hers sink area outside of the bathroom. The bathrooms are a little dated, but that's the only negative I have about the property. The Villas pool with swimup bar is wonderful and when that got too noisy, we made the very short walk down to the sunset beach which was picture perfect. There's so much beautiful wildlife around too. The view from the balcony is stunning. We saw turtles surfacing, frigates and pelicans hunting fish, and the local iguanas sunbathing! The location is great, with many bars and shops in easy walking distance. Also, we did the full day snorkelling trip with the onsite watersports shop, Aquamania adventures. It was an amazing day where we saw 100s of fish, turtles and stingrays. Captain Roy and Bobby were amazing guides and the lunch in Grand Case (Cynthia's Talk of the Town) was the best BBQ we had on the island. Well worth it and we'd do it again! My only slight negative is that we opted for the included breakfast which is always at La Patrona, the Mexican restaurant on site. As a big fan of Mexican food, I found the food very bland and wouldn't choose to eat there, although the fresh fruit and yoghurt in the morning was nice. I skipped breakfast some days, but my husband liked it.…
This hotel had everything we were looking for. It was immaculate and the staff was amazing. They were always beyond pleasant and just wanted to please their guests. The room was immaculate and had everything we needed. The pool was beautiful and right off the bay and ocean. The breakfast was wonderful and the restaurants were as well. Try their key lime pie! It was outrageous! Would love to come back here. It was a great experience!
We stayed at the Villas at Simpson Bay in a 2-bedroom suite in April. The room was spacious. The beds were firm, I love that. The views of the bay from the room were gorgeous. Housekeeping only came once a week which I don’t love, but in covid times I guess that’s the new norm. The swim up pool bar, attended by Minnie the bartender, was our favorite part of the day. The Pelican Beach Bar was so fun too. Good menu. Pretty water. We would definitely come back again, but we would rent a car. If you plan on leaving the resort to explore other beaches, activities, or restaurants, the cab rides get REALLY expensive.
We had a two unit villa for the week with our two teenagers. It was a great amount of space for everyone. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet each morning. The views from our room on the fifth floor could not be beet. I want to give a special shout out to Minerva who is the pool bartender. Her customer service was top notch and she was so kind to everyone. I will be coming back next year for her rum punch!
The Villas were amazing, we could not ask for a better accommodation, it was much more than we expected. We had trouble completing the required documents to return to Canada (not that we wanted to) and Georgina, a staff member came to our rescue. She spent more than 45 minutes with us and really helped us in our predicament. thank you Georgina for your help. Hope to see you again soon.
Four weeks went by so quickly ! Updated condo unit since we were there in 2019 and it was nicely done. Fully furnished, ready to make your stay stress free. One thing I did notice was a lack of a safety grab bar near the toilet. It's a low one and challenging for a handicapped person to use. Employees were pleasant, smiling and saying "hello". Third floor condo was great for watching activities in Simpson Bay. We enjoyed all the iguanas and different birds around the bay. And the Flying Fish! Yacht watching was fun...mega yachts were incredible. The Resort is within walking distance to several beach bars and restaurants. Favorite was The Greenhouse...And Bang Bang Shrimp and Sliders. Coco (formerly Sunset beach) has chicken strips that are so crunchy and yummy.
This is the sixth time I stayed in this hotel. I travel to SXM every winter for a month or so. This time stayed in room 609B from 2/14/2022 to 3/14/2022. In what they call a "junior studio" with a kitchenette: small refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker and microwave oven. You need to bring your on They supply utensils , plates , mugs and wine glasses. You can see the description of the room on their website. The was renovated lately,
