First let me compliment the staff starting with Georgina at the reception who was always so wonderful to work with both pre arrival and while at the resort. Everyone around is smiley, pleasant and helpful and that makes a huge difference! We got a ocean view room last floor of building B2, and that also made a huge difference. The view was breathtaking and such a great addition to our outdoor meals and happy hours. The apartment was clean, very spacious for 2, and the kitchen truly had everything we needed. We brought some food from home but honestly I will not in the future. The on site deli has everything we brought from home at same NY pricing more or less. For fresh meat and additional fresh produces, the larger supermarket is walking distance down the street, where you also have a few restaurants. We tried the on site Isola restaurant, and the brick oven pizzas were delicious! The beach was great but we also rented a car (on-site rental very convenient) and adventures to secluded beaches where we were literally alone!! Amazing! Testing on site was also very convenient. We don’t like big loud all inclusive resorts, and besides a loud couple of young drunk people on the beach on the last day, we found this resort to be the exact peaceful environment we were looking for our first trip back to the Caribbeans.

The resort is very clean and everyone is very friendly and helpful. If you need a tour person, Please ask for Harry he does private tour both islands. Simpson bay resort is located closed to everything you need great food and entertainment. You have a casino on premises. Please also visit Topper's Rhum Distillery and Skipper Jack for great food

I have to start off by saying I’ve never had a bad vacation ever. This was the worst from start to finish. We arrive at Simpson bay resort st. Martin and we get a room that is old , run down dark and dingy. The view was of a parking lot and garage dumpster. When we say this is not what we booked we were told we could upgrade for more money. We refused and got moved to the same room type but our view was now of a wall by the pool. It was a Sunday so there weren’t any managers who could help us so we took the room for the night. The next day we went to the front desk and asked to speak to a manager. We spoke to Marcel and after about 20 minutes of trying to figure out how to fix the situation we were upgraded to a villa pool/ocean view room. At this point our vacation is already ruined. The people are not nice the island as a whole is rundown. We went to Phillipsburg which was another disappointment. It was also rundown and everyone is very aggressive wanting you to go in their store. The security guards at the resort were not nice as well they look at you as if you are a criminal. The resort is also very hilly so be prepared to walk or take a shuttle. The front desk needs more help there was only one or two people working at any given time. The resort doesn’t have a friendly feel. The one plus was that the a/c worked great.

We booked a studio deluxe for my husband, daughter and myself. It was a great room with fully equipped kitchen and comfy beds. The hotel is hilly (the resort offers a shuttle if needed) there is a kids playground, 4 or 5 pools and some great restaurants on site. The location is great! My only complaint is the drinks at the swim up bars are sooo sweet no matter what I ordered I did not taste the liquor. With that said, the drinks were about 8 dollars. They offer the covid test to go back home at member services but theres no way I was paying 75 pp for that test. we went to the french side and did it cheaper. I highly recommend this hotel as it was clean and in a prime location with wonderful rooms. We will be back!

Room Tip: Rent a car if you can. Go elsewhere for covid testing. Go to mullet bay beach!

This is my first time in St Maarten and I was great! We stayed for 4 nights but had to switch rooms half way. The 1st room had a malfunctioning A/C that would go off and on by its self. When I contacted the front desk someone from maintenance was at the room in literally 10mins. After realizing the issue would not be a quick fix, we were promptly given a new room within 20 mins. Staff was nice for the most part. We were able to have early check in about 2 hours but they were very strict about the check out. The hotel is very centrally located but very hilly so bear that in mind. They do have resort shuttles that help. I would definitely stay here again
