Just stayed 2 nights in this hotel and it was globally quite pleasant, although far from perfect. On the positive side, the location is excellent, basically 5 meters from water, and more important the manager is ultra friendly and helpful. Very good points. However our room was very unpractical and dark with a not so comfortable bed. Construction work was also unpleasant. Wifi was not good in all parts of the rom. Despite the hotel location, plane noise was not too bad given the limited traffic. No breakfast available but several options within 10 min. walk. Not a bad option for a short stay in the close vicinity of the airport but probably not for a longer relaxing vacation.
What a great find. This small hotel exceeded my expectations. The owner, Michael was amazing and made check-in really smooth. He also helped with bookings and advice about local attractions on the island. It made my stay! The hotel is a hidden gem. A zen like garden greets you as you enter the property. I had a room that opened onto the beach. It included a little deck area that was exclusively mine complete with table and chairs. It was great for making a drink and watching sunset. This hotel surprised me with some of its amenities that made my vacation great- beach towels; a beach shower to rinse off the fine sand before going into your room; small kitchenette with everything you need including ice trays; lending library in case you forgot a beach book; lots of towels in the…
The hotel is a hidden gem. The family that runs the hotel is wonderful. They are warm, welcoming, and extremely hospitable especially their daughter! They have a tortoises courtyard and adorable kittens. The beach is beautiful and the location convenient.
If you like boutique and local this is your place. We literally had the beach to ourself pretty much the whole time. Occasionally a few locals would pop in jump in the water but this place was great. Mike is a fantastic host and it was more like staying at a friends house than a hotel. You can keep the big box hotels that are like cruise ships on land. Give me this place. Just walk up to the main highway one day and catch a bus to Maho (less than 5 min away, and watch the planes fly in. While we rarely ruturn to the same island (too many still to discover), we will for sure tell whoever is going to Sint Maarten to stay here! Thanks Mike loved the week.
These people - "GET IT". The Azure Hotel & Art Studio is a refreshing change from the bigger, more impersonal chain hotels. Creative and colorful, this Villa reminded us of what we've seen in Costa Rica. Hard to describe (without photos) the personal touches that make up the Azure experience. One get's that this is someone's dream that they take great care of. Perfect location - Clean - Comfortable - Excellent people. Would definitely recommend to friends that we have, and those we've yet to meet. Thank you Michael and Fawnette for making court St. Martin vacation so great! We will certainly return.
