Very comfortable and the hostess was very helpful. Had a wonderful breakfast in a bright and airy dining room. My only complaints are that the private bathroom was across a passage and that there was only a torch available for loadshedding

Hotel's Favorite
Had lunch here with a group of friends. Perfect spot overlooking the beach. Excellent appetizers and entrees. Some items on the menu were not available, but there was a good variety of things to choose from. I had the burger which was cooked perfectly and was super tasty. Fries were crispy and delicious. Everyone at the table was pleased with their selections. Staff were friendly and helpful. Great hospitality. Looking forward to a return visit!

I struggled to find suitable accomodation in the particular area that I wanted to be located in Durban until I came across Holland House.The accomodation and service levels satisfied all of my aspirations.Friendliness/helpfullness of staff & the quality of the breakfast was an extra bonus & perfect in every respect.Dont look any further !

The Holland House was amazing, well-kept, and very friendly and attentive staff. And stones throw from the beach water is crystal clear.I will definitely be staying there every time I go to St. Maarten. Great location can access Bobby's Marina for day cruises by walking and other activities up and down to boardwalk.

My brother-in-law and I went to visit family in Durban. What a wonderful stay we had at Holland House. We drove up from Cape Town and all of it was so worth it. Kim, Marelize and Mekie are wonderful and friendly people. We really enjoyed our stay there and plan to go back there for sure. I love the house and the view top deck is amazing!! Really close to a Spar for shopping and restaurants a plenty just down the road. Loved it!!!

We booked at Holland House based on online reviews and were not disappointed. The location was perfect for our needs, the room comfortable and the staff welcoming, friendly and helpful! We stayed for a total of 16 days which meant we needed laundry done too. No problem!! The lovely Maggie saw to this for us. We also had full access to the communal kitchen which made life easy for dinner preparations. A hearty, tasty breakfast was included in our booking. Without a doubt, we will return to Holland House during our future visits to the area. Highly recommend!

I don't know how many times my wife and I have stayed at the Holland House Beach Hotel, but I know that we're never staying anywhere else on St. Maarten. Probably somewhere over 15 times. This is a relatively small (~55 rooms) privately owned Beach front hotel with rooms facing either the water or the city. Trip to trip the staff, who act and work like a family, remains the same and have embraced us as part of the family. it's hugs arriving and again departing. Recommend visiting the web-site hhbh.com for pictures, descriptions, and booking. It's nice that prepayment is not required. Your reservation includes free scratch-cooked breakfast (not buffet!), free WiFI, and free beach set-ups. All for the price of a room in many chain hotels. The beach bar staff is very responsive and, in addition to drinks, will bring menus for snacks and lunches and deliver those to the beach. For lunch the chicken sate, hamburger, and flat-bread pizza are all amazing. In fact, the restaurant is excellent in all respects. The rooms are modern, beds are comfortable, and air-conditioning works very well. The beach view rooms provide an amazing view of the white sand beach and Great Bay. The about 2 mile Boardwalk separates the hotel from the beach and provides the opportunity to visit the many beach-shops and beach-bars typical to a Boardwalk. Waves on this beach rarely exceed 4-5 inches, and seaweed isn't generally a problem. Also, the pass-through lobby provides access to Front Street behind the hotel, which is recognized as the duty-free shopping capital of the Caribbean. Jewelry, cosmetics, clothing, alcohol, souvenirs are all readily available at great prices. For moving around the island, cabs are readily available. Great Bay includes the St. Maarten cruise port so some days there are no cruise ships in port and some days there are 2-5. This does provide people watching opportunities as tourists walk the Boardwalk, use the beach, and shop on Front Street. We haven't really had any issues with the tourists, and have had some interesting conversations while in the water.…

When I get back to St Martin this will be the 1st choice in hotel stays. It is a short taxi ride from the airport & to the cruise terminal, in the middle of shopping district & right on the beach. The rooms are quite comfortable and have all the essentials. Would loved to have had a beach front but the city/island view not all that bad with a balcony. Beach chairs and umbrellas were included. The restaurant/bar were excellent but pack your va-ca clock, might take a little longer to get your service but then again, worth the wait. Check-in early and they'll store your bags but definitely check out a bit early to avoid the crowds. Overall a really comfortable stay with great food & very pleasant staff.

We enjoyed a one night stay at Holland House. Our room was comfortable, and we enjoyed a stellar dinner in the dining room overlooking the beach. We were underwhelmed by the town itself, but agree that Holland House is the most desirable hotel in that location .
