You won't be alone on the beach, but there are several beach chair rental places and you won't have trouble getting a spot - they'll find a spot for you. It is not far from the cruise terminal so walking works fine. There is also a reasonable water taxi service that you can choose if you don't want to walk. It takes you from the cruise ship dock to the beach area.
