The front office staff are amazing. The location of the hotel is second to none with stunning views of the Pitons. The rooms themselves are well stocked but could use some updates. The restaurant on site is currently closed which made meals a little challenging without a vehicle but again the front desk staff were extremely helpful
We had a fabulous stay at the La Haut Resort in April, 4 of us stayed in Cashew rooms 1&2 which had lovely views and were big and kept clean. All the staff were friendly and helpful and both pools were great.
We had stayed in Cashew Rm 3 and the views from the balcony overlooking the Pitons were breathtaking. We were provided with fresh fruit from the land daily. Staff was very accommodating and everyone I had interacted with was very friendly. Definitely utilize the infinity pool for some good photo ops. We'll be staying here again if ever back in St Lucia.
La Haut property is lovely. The view of the Pitons and town of Soufriere below are beautiful. As with most places you stay on the island, if you aren't renting a car, you should be prepared to be picked up at property for any tours. A round trip taxi ride to/from town will cost between $20-30 USD. Communication with staff at La Haut was excellent and we appreciated them arranging our pickup from the airport. Lush restaurant on site is very good and the staff are quite friendly.
La Haut Resort must be the best value for money accommodation in Soufriere. We chose it (as I’m sure everyone else does) for the incredible infinity pool picture on Tripadvisor. The views from this pool and practically everywhere else on the resort are as good in real life if not better. We felt very fortunate that La Haut is priced as it is as most hotels in the area require remortgaging your house to pay for them. All the staff seem genuinely friendly and were extremely helpful. The cleaners went to lots of effort with displays of flowers and even balloons and messages for a birthday. Both pools are superb in their own right, not too cold or too hot and best of all we did not have to share them once the whole trip! The restaurant on site (Lush) again has the amazing views you would expect and good quality food at a much more affordable price than all the other resort restaurants we visited. The breakfast in particular is excellent. There is a good sized car park which is easily accessible and the road to the hotel is well maintained (unlike the incredibly steep, narrow and pot holed road to the 5 star resorts situated at Anse Chastanet). Car hire is highly recommended to make the most of the trip and by and large the roads were easy to drive. The rooms are probably in need of updating but were full of character, the kitchenette was useful and the balcony was a great place to relax. You will have to pay a lot more on St Lucia if you want “luxury” rooms with four poster beds and white washed pristine walls. Overall, this was a fantastic holiday and we were delighted to spend it at La Haut.…
We stayed at La Haut for 6 nights from January 23-28/22. The views were excellent, the room clean, the communication was clear, responsive and flexible (we changed dates of our stay at the last minute, no problem), the infinity pool wonderful, location perfect.
A little bit of paradise at an affordable price. We stayed in room Cashew 2. Large bedroom/kitchenette, leading to a very large balcony with seats, hammock and most special of all views overlooking Soufriere and the Pitons. Car can be parked outside accommodation. The most special part of staying at this resort is being able to walk through the owners beautifully maintained garden through to their stunning infinity pool, which they generously allow you to use. There is also another pool below the restaurant. The restaurant called 'Lush' is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We stayed for 3 nights and ate breakfast and dinner each day. The food was superb.
La Haute is a treasure. When we booked, all we knew about the resort was the the pictures we saw online and previous good reviews. It exceeded all of our expectations. The setting is picturesque with unbelievable views of the 2 Pitons and the Caribbean Sea. Joe and Stephanie, the owners provided warm and welcoming hospitality. Everyone that works there is so nice and so accommodating. They recommended and an arranged most of our activities. Even the taxi service that they recommended was made up of the best people. Their care and dedication to us having a good time was well above what would’ve been expected. Our room was spacious and had a large balcony with chairs and a hammock. The restaurant, Lush has fantastic service and delicious Caribbean food. We could have not been more pleased. We were very sad to me and it felt like we were not just leaving a resort, but leaving friends as well.…
My wife and I stayed here and were not disappointed. The view from the balconies and pool is as stunning as shown on the pictures, maybe even more impressive! Even though it is named a “Resort” I would rather called it a B&B, also since the restaurant has a different owner than the hotel part. Nevertheless the staff of both, the restaurant and the hotel are very friendly and kind. And for this price you won’t find anything comparable on the island!
We stayed at La Haut for a short vacation. The hotel is very nice, great views and friendly staff. Room is comfortable, with celling fan and balcony .with views of pitons and water. Infinity pool is great. Restaurant open for lunch and breakfast, food very good. Several good restaurants in town but requires car or taxi. La Haut is. Comfortable but not handicapped accessible I would stay here again.
