Trip of a lifetime to an amazing place with outstanding service and wonderful people. Villa was fabulous with it’s own pool. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. On site Mango Tree Restuarant serving delicious food. Would highly recommend and will definitely stay again if visiting the island.
What can we say...Stonefield was everything that we wanted and needed our honeymoon to be! First and foremost we want to thank Stonefield for their flexibility. We were originally supposed to travel in September, however a very active Atlantic storm season had us looking down the barrel of a full week of rain and wind, with the possibility of a hurricane. After chatting with us Stonefield allowed us to rebook any time in the next 12 months with no penalty! So we chose January and the choice was PERFECT. Stonefield is a romantic, relaxing paradise. Despite being a resort property our personal villa left us feeling completely secluded, as if we had a rainforest all to ourselves. The privacy was calming and relaxing and made just hanging around our villa a treat in itself. The villa itself was well put together, with our own "plunge" pool for floating or cooling off whenever we wanted - and the pool even had colored lights for night swimming! The hammock and porch furniture were perfect for relaxing and having a morning cup of coffee, or just taking a breather. The bed in the villa was huge and quite comfortable - and there was plenty of storage and bathroom space to make the villa complete. And the outdoor shower was so wonderful! Nothing like getting clean and taking in the tropical sun at the same time. As for the rest of the resort they have it gorgeously tucked away within the forest. There is a nice short walking path through the rainforest to the Ancient Petroglyphs that are represented in Stonefields logo. Then it is a very short distance to their on-site farm that provides all of the fruits and vegetables served at their restaurant, The Mango Tree. Personally, we loved The Mango Tree. There are breathtaking views of the Pitons and the Caribbean Sea - an absolutely wonderful place to take in a meal (and a sunset!) We booked our stay with an all-inclusive package that allowed us to eat and drink to our hearts desire the entire stay. All of the menus have a wide variety of food to choose from, allowing a little something for everybody. They also did a good job of updating certain parts of the menus throughout the week so that the options felt stale. We definitely doubled-up on some items throughout the week but that was only because they were so delicious! Finally, the excursions offered by Stonefield are definitely worthwhile! We highly recommend the Tet Paul Trail, the Sunset Cruise and taking advantage of their numerous shuttles to some of the best beaches on the island! One GREAT tip that several people at Stonefield gave us is that there are NO PRIVATE BEACHES on St. Lucia. So if you choose to spend a day at the nearby Sugar Beach or up at Anse Chastenet do NOT let their employees tell you otherwise! They can charge for their beach chairs but not the beach itself!. The only hiccup we could find with their tours was in the Sulfur Spring tour. While the tour is definitely worthwhile ( very informative and ends with a healthy mud-bath near the springs) it is billed to have "bubbling pools of lava", which is not the case. St. Lucia's volcano is a caldera, with lava only existing below the earths crust. What do you do is bubbling sulfuric mud pools. Interesting in their own right, but we were a little bummed after we thought there would be lava. We suggest a quick edit to Stonefield's on-site list just to prevent future confusion! All-in-all, a VERY minor blip on what was the perfect honeymoon. Many thanks to the Stonefield team! We'll be back as soon as possible!…
We wanted to find an incredible place to spend our 25th wedding anniversary. Stonefield Villa Resort was way beyond our expectations. A welcome drink and cool towel greeted us upon arrival. When the door of our villa opened, we were amazed. The views of the ocean and pitons were dramatic. The private pool incredible; The villa was just what we were looking for. Rustic luxury-very quiet-private-tropical paradise. The Mango Tree restaurant was fantastic! Breakfast included. We will be back for another magical stay at the Stonefield Villa Resort soon. 😊💕😊
We had an incredible time at Stonefield Resort. Everything we could have wanted was there. It was relaxing and a good starting point for island excursions. The villas are very private and all have private pools. The food was excellent and we loved breakfast each day.
Lush and well kept natural gardens greeted us as we descended through the main guard house....the reception area was open air and stylish... Our evening arrival in darkness was accented by Vinel, who escorted us to our villa....private pool, double hammock, outdoor shower... the huge four post bed draped tastefully in mosquito netting! Air conditioning and a huge walk in closet attached to the his and her sinks..... we were immediately impressed with the refined rustic class our dwelling exuded! THEN WE WOKE UP NEXT MORNING!!! Gorgeous overlook of the inlet below with a fantastic view of the Pitons ... we were in paradise! The entire property was picture perfect. The pool and Mango Tree Restaurant area became our wake up routine... so breathtaking——- we could have stayed all day on the property and relaxed. When we were told by staff we should plan to attend buffet night on Thursday, Rebecca and I took them up on it and the event was so fun... a well executed island Creole favorites nicely presented ...and a show of fire breathing and interactive LIMBO.. we had so much fun! The attention the staff gave us was most appreciated...I kept realizing they were well lead, properly trained and all had such great hospitality. It really was the full package. We will return again without a doubt!…
