All Suites include Roundtrip Private Car Airport Transfers, Breakfast at Dasheene, and the exclusive Ladera Ridge Hike to the top of the Ladera Ridge, where guests feel as if they can almsot touch Petit Piton. The 18,000 sq. ft. Ladera Spa with mineral pool is scheduled to open in June 2021. Award winning farm-to-table Dasheene Restaurant features International Cuisine infused with authentic St. Lucian spices, breathtaking views of the Pitons, the sea, the St. Lucian sunset and a one-of-a-kind Dasheene Team, offering a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, promoting the Ladera Eco-Friendly Philosophy; This is why Dasheene is one of the best restaurants in St. Lucia and the Caribbean. Executive Chef Nigel Mitchel and his culinary team create their culinary delights with products locally and organically grown on local farms, including the fresh seafood caught from the nearby waters, comprising 70% of what is created in the kitchen. The Ladera Wellness Garden tour allows guests to experience the fruit and spices served in Dasheene and the fauna of St. Lucia. The Essence of this Romantic Paradise is found among the staff who create the ambiance, the furniture with local hardwoods and stones, the wellness gardens, sustainability, and the eco-friendly philosophy. Using “Just Water” eliminates 85,000 plastic bottles at the resort. The wellness gym with a magnificent view of the Caribbean Sea and Pitons, exclusive Ladera onsite hikes along the volcanic ridge, tours of the wellness garden, the carpentry shop and yoga are enjoyed complimentary at the resort and are only available to Ladera overnight guests. For adventure on St. Lucia guests enjoy Ziplining, Horseback Riding, Hikes to the top of the Pitons, Boat Rides with Snorkeling, ATVing, mud baths and Sulphur Springs. Ladera Resort St. Lucia is the perfect setting for honeymoons, weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, adventures, wellness and just relaxing and watching the sunset. Ladera is the pioneer of the open air three-walled concept in St. Lucia and has since been distinguished by a wide range of international publications, awards and accolades from Conde Nast Traveler, Travel + Leisure, Forbes Life Caribbean Travel and Life, Brides Magazine and countless others. Ladera was once part of Rabot Estate, one of Soufriere's oldest plantations, which still borders the resort. In the late 1960's a parcel of land was sold and developed into a small cluster of condominiums and christened Dasheene, named after the thousands of large, glossy-leafed dasheen plants (also known as elephant ears) harvested on the site. In 1982 it was transformed into a unique resort and changed hands a number of times before emerging as Ladera under the current private ownership. The mission has always been to offer an unparalleled guest experience that is quintessentially Saint Lucian, one that embraces the magnificent views and offers harmony with the surrounding natural beauty and rich bounty of the island. Today, that commitment to sumptuous authenticity is evident in everything from the innovative renderings of fresh local dishes at Dasheene restaurant, to the use of Caribbean timbers, stone and tile work used in the guestrooms and public areas. Yet it shines through most effectively with warm and welcoming Saint Lucian staff.

My wife and I stayed at the Ladera in early July for our 5 year wedding anniversary. it was the best decision ever! When we landed our driver awaited us and gave us a tour as we drove to the resort. Upon arrival, Ms. Caroline greeted us with wonderful drinks and cool towels before giving us a tour of the suite. The suite was absolutely breathtaking. We stayed in the Gros Piton suite for 3 days and the Petit Piton suite the final night. Both offered great views and the plunge pool was so relaxing. The food was great, however I'd recommend more GF options (as well as a regular GF bread option, the GF cornbread didn't pair well with the burger to me because it crumbled easy). Room service was great, the restaurant view was breathtaking, and the restaurant staff were top-tier! The excursions were fun (we did a cruise, mud bath and hike), I assume the options on the resort were a bit limited due to covid. Clyde was very fun and gave us an amazing tour of the island. Overall I would recommend this resort to anyone. The insects are inevitable however the resort did a thorough job of cleaning multiple times a day and offering insect repellent.

Hotel's Favorite
My husband and I spent 2 nights at Ladera during our trip to St. Lucia, and it was the highlight of our trip! The staff is so incredibly friendly, even noting when I mentioned once that mangos were my favorite fruit and making sure I had a fresh mango with my breakfast every morning! We stayed in a Hillside suite and were amazed at the well thought out architecture and attention to detail (the binoculars for watching birds and water gun were a fun touch!).. Having one wall open to incredible views was so unique, relaxing and still afforded total privacy. It was nice to just get away from the busyness of life and take in the sights and sounds of the rainforest and Caribbean. I would describe it as a very romantic, relaxing and intimate experience. The grounds are stunning!!! Beautiful plants with local fruit trees, spices and herbs growing on the property along with hummingbird feeders throughout. The Dasheen restaurant has the most beautiful views I’ve ever seen for a restaurant (both Pitons are visible), and the food is absolutely delicious. We also went to their state of the art gym and enjoyed amazing views while working out. The staff has done well at subtly putting in the COVID-19 safety protocols as required by the St. Lucian government and made it a very pleasant stay. We were able to book a private snorkeling excursion from the property. It seems water activities are open but land activities are still limited due to COVID.! I can’t recommend this place more highly.

Dear Jessica A, Thank you very much for staying with us. It was a pleasure meeting you. I agree with you, Ladera sits on the top of a volcanic reef allowing for the best views of the amazing Pitons. You really feel like you are touching them. At Ladera Resort the well being of our employees and guest is our highest mission. That is why we created the AngelFish Team. It is responsible of ensuring all COVID-19 protocols are followed while still providing our legendary Ladera service. I am glad you enjoyed your stay with us. Hopefully we get to meet you soon again. warmest regards, Christian

Ladera was absolutely fantastic. The views of the Pitons, quality of the service, and all of the things to do at the resort made our honeymoon spectacular. We spent 6 nights at Ladera in the Suites on Paradise Ridge. Our room was perfect. There was no fourth wall, so every second we spent 'resting' we could still take in the breathtaking views. The pool in the room was also great; you can make it the temperate you'd like. Each night, you can hear the breeze over the trees, sounds of the birds, and the trickling of the pool fountain. I slept so great. At the resort, we spent a lot of time at the pool, where you are waited on hand-and-foot with drinks, great food, and perfect views. We also did the hike on the property, which offered additional views of the Pitons and some cool flowers, trees, etc. The restaurant on the property, Dasheene, is the best. Talk about high-quality. We ate the best seafoods, steaks, pastas and drank the best wines. Originally, we wanted to go to other restaurants, but after the first night- we cancelled them all. You MUST eat at Dasheene as much as you can. It makes every night so romantic and special. We highly recommend the wine & dinner pairing in the wine cellar. It was the best meal of my life. The service is unmatched. You are given a little cell phone with room service, a butler, and the front desk always a quick call away. They were always so helpful to plan the day and take care of your every need. The staff is so friendly and always willing to go the extra mile to help you out. They planned everything out for us (beach days, sunset cruise, hikes, dinners, massages in the room, etc.!) For our honeymoon, we wanted to go somewhere tropical but still maintain high-quality service. Ladera is just that. This place is indescribable-- you can't put into words the comfort and joy we felt every minute at the resort. It was so romantic and will be a memory we'll never forget. We can't wait to come back!

We spent 3 nights at Ladera and 4 nights at Anse Chastenet during a recent anniversary trip. Loved both resorts. At Ladera we chose a beautiful Hilltop Dream Suite and enjoyed the swing, clean plunge pool, huge bedroom, nespresso coffee, stocked fridge, Molton Brown products, night time goodies, etc. Loved our 2 story room that we found completely comfortable with the natural breeze coming up the ridge and bug sprays, coils, netting provided. Really is a special place...especially because of the amazing staff. Doesn't matter if you speak to a server, grounds keeper, butler, taxi driver, concierge....warm, professional, friendly. St. Lucia is a special place because of the St. Lucian hospitality and natural beauty. Enjoyed hiking around the property on their nature hike and especially hiking the Gros Piton on the hotel excursion the following day with a sweet honeymoon couple.

My wife and I have been to Ladera several times now and this trip started off a little bumpy compared to past visits, almost entirely due to hurricane Elsa rolling through the week prior. Since issues with our suite were discovered on day one, we reluctantly brought them to the attention of the staff. Hotel occupancy was full and we offered to accept a level of suite down from what we had reserved. That was unacceptable to this 5 star staff though, who ended up putting us in a better suite that when we had arrived. That is what sets Ladera apart in my opinion. They're going to do whatever it takes to make sure you have a great stay. Our suite, PR2, was flawless. The service was flawless. Dinner at Dasheene can take a while, the first night dinner took over an hour and a half between ordering and arriving. But the dinner is outstanding and arrives hot. The resort is so unique and in such a perfect location. Other than maybe Jade Mountain, this is the premier couples resort on the island and the service matches that description. With some very competitive airbnb's close by, it's important Ladera keeps living up to these high standards and they absolutely went above and beyond on this trip. A personal greeting at checkout by the General Manager Mr. Gandara showed us how they value their guests and had us looking forward to coming back and glad we are a part of the Ladera family. Pros: Service Location Privacy Con: A few more bug bites this time
