This place is heaven on earth!! We were left wanting for absolutely nothing!! We had room 309 and it was the best view of beach and pitons !!! Already planning our next girls trip back!!!! If price is not a problem this is the place to be hands down!
We had a few days here at the start of a birthday trip. What a fabulous location. Food, room, service were all excellent & it was topped off by a fabulous saxaphone rendition of Stevie Wonders "Happy Birthday" at the table. Truely memorable. Big shout outs must go to Jed in the bar that night & Melanie who seemed to always be where we needed her at a table. Enjoyed the Beech restaurant most of all. A great relaxing start to the holiday......other than our room at night! Be warned, Sugar Mill one has a connecting door to somewhere. Whoever was on the other side of that door wasnt interested in sleeping & made sure we didnt get any either.
We stayed 5 nights in one of the villas, and every single detail was amazing. The accommodations are beautiful and the butlers make everything so easy. The food was delicious at every single place-- we went everywhere, but our favorite was actually just the walk-in beachside grill. Drinks are delicious, nothing is off limits, and they aren't watered down like you'd get at some resorts. One tip: spend the money on the all-inclusive if you can. The food is worth it and it's nice to not have any concerns! We'll definitely come back, and I can't wait to see the pitons again.
A perfect place for a special vacation! You will not find a more beautiful location on the island (or possibly the world)! The resort is gorgeous and the accommodations very private. The resort and friendly staff are very organized, thus making for a smooth and easy vacation, without any worries.
Stayed here in a villa with 3 friends for the all inclusive experience. Best food and drinks I’ve had at an all inclusive, and I’ve been to all inclusives in Cancun and Punta Cana. The food options varied and had plenty of fresh healthy food. None of the drinks were watered down. The cocktails were interesting and fresh. The beverage manager, Kevin, was so friendly and knowledgeable. He was often around to give fun drink suggestions. All of the staff were attentive and friendly. Service could be a little slow on the beach at times. Our villa had a butler who was available by phone (which the hotel provided) 24/7. He was excellent helping us get contact solution, dinner reservations, covid tests, etc. The villa itself was incredible- so clean, spacious, and luxurious with a fabulous outdoor shower. The shuttles were nice and always available to get around the resort. The beaches and pools were amazing and never too crowded or loud. The spa is a must. Michelle gave an excellent bamboo massage. Not much of a party scene but there were opportunities for plenty of fun and relaxation.…
The staff, location and scenery of the hotel are absolutely worthy of visiting. A view like no other of the pitons and lush greenery. My husband and I arrived here on 5-14 and leave 5/19. On our last evening here. Food overall is good. We are foodies and depending on what you order it can be hit or miss but most is fresh. The staff at Jalousie was the best in my opinion some if the best. Larus. Made an amazing watermelon margarita and took excellent care of us each time we went. Great room and Cane bar staff we also wonderful and extra attentive. Beach staff the first couple days was hard to get service. You had to find someone to get food or drink. The last few days was definitely much better. There was an influx of more ppl so maybe the resort was prepared with a bit more staff. We did do the all inclusive and felt that it was worth paying. We are not heavy eaters but the price for everything is overpriced so do feel like if you are going to spend the majority time at the resort it is worth the price of going all inclusive. There is still items that you will have to pay extra for but they do have a dot mark on the side if the item to let you know it is extra which we weren’t aware of initially but found out later. Snorkeling along the piton was great. I would definitely recommend doing. There are so many beautiful fish and is blocked off so feels really safe. Does get a little busy at times due to visitors from other areas of the island but it’s easy to time it to where you don’t see a lot of visitors. The spa was also a must try. The staff was also wonderful. The changing room area if I’m being picky was a bit dark and small but unique with some of the treatment rooms having an outdoor shower. Stayed in beach bungalow 12. Our butler is Toyan. He was great. Booked all of our dinner reservations, shuttle service and anything we needed or forgot he was on it and took care of right away. The location of our bungalow was right on the beach which loved the convenience of walking out to the beach vs the grand villa looks like you would have to walk down a fair amount of stairs our shuttle down which can be a long way from what I saw. You are in a public beach but great thing is visitors aren’t allowed to come up to the area where the guests are so still relaxing. Though the evenings were extremely loud. If you plan on going to sleep any time before midnight you will not be able to due to the blaring DJ music coming from either the bayside bar/Jalousie depending on the night. The live music that does happen on other nights does cut off at about 10pm but definitely is not as loud the dj. You can hear each song clearly in your room in bed. Overall I will say I absolutely loved the resort, service and the people and it’s worth trying but the evening experience alone would NOT want me to come back here again. This is a small resort and wanted some quiet relaxing time and you will get during the day but definitely not in the evenings.…
I can not say enough good things about this resort. To start with the property is beautiful, the beach is small but never over crowded, as is the pool. The best view - set between the two pitons with the best snorkeling on the island! The luxury cottage we stayed in was perfect for what we needed. The bed was so comfortable and the space was really private, the best part was the private plunge pool. Each day when the beach started to get busy we would head up and relax together, everything you would want for a honeymoon! The cottages are up on the hill but we stayed in one that was closer to the bottom so we could walk to the beach and took the shuttles to dinner at night. Beyond the obvious beauty of the property, I would say it was the people that made our trip truly amazing. Our butler team was amazing- they literally were there to take care of anything we needed and made us feel so special during our stay- a BIG thank you to Felicia, Karen and Swamy. The drivers were all fun and friendly and the staff in the restaurants were the best. We loved Kaime from our private beach dinner and the Jalousie Grill and Berlinda from The Great Room was lovely and wonderful as well. I wish I could remember the names of the two women who did our massages I think one was named Yualia. They were so amazing we went back twice! The spa is pure bliss - the massage was the best I have had in my life and it is set in the most tranquil relaxing environment. The spa lunch was also an amazing way to end the service - such a great experience The food on the property was delicious, we only left the property once and decided not to leave again since there were so many options available at such top notch quality. Be warned it is very expensive so be sure to factor that into the cost of your trip. The breakfast was my favorite part- I am still thinking about the passion fruit mimosas and French toast! The staff went above and beyond for our private dinner to make it special, even making us a little bonfire on the beach. We also did a sunset cruise which was beautiful and we saw so many dolphins, we canceled our half day excursion. I got car sick from the trip from the airport, the roads are very windy not so great for anyone who gets motion sick. One other thing to note is to be mindful of when you come - we happened to plan our honeymoon during a popular spring break time for people with children and since the property is so family friendly there were a good amount of kids there. Happily we had the private cottage to give us a nice reprieve, but if you are someone who doesn’t like being around kids, this may not be the best place to go during this time. The private beach and south pier were also a more quiet spot to go on the property- perfect for watching the sunset! Overall we absolutely loved Sugar Beach and can’t wait to go back. The people are truly the most kind welcoming lovely people that make this place a must stay!…
This place is totally overpriced. St. Lucia as a whole is overpriced with EVERYTHING! Food is ridiculous and everything you want to do has a "guide" that u have to pay. It's all a scam to milk tourists out of money. Much better places in the Caribbean to visit. Sugar Beach Resort is nice but again SUPER expensive. If you are not a guest dont even try to visit...it will cost you $100 for 2 people to get chairs not to mention the shuttle ride down from the non guest parking. They totally have a monopoly on the "free" beach...and the beach is tiny compared to beaches elsewhere in the Caribbean. My advice is to skip St. Lucia all together...not worth the money!
At all levels this trip and service was perfect. Three bedroom villa with pool absolutely perfect. On my next birthday, will do it again! This was a re-schedule from positive covid in February, the staff could not have been more helpful during a stressful time, and the reset trip in May exceeded expectations.
Amazing weekend. Worth every penny. No real need to go outside of the resort but also fun to do. Everyone was great! The front office and concierge could be more welcoming but absolutely everyone was extremely amazing. The drivers were always so great!
