Driving up a dirt track road to this hotel you wonder what you may find on arrival. But one need not worry, its absolutely stunning and so unusual. We stayed in a suite with amazing views of the Pitons. Service was very good, the food was incredible. The beach was lovely, a beautiful little cove. The whole place has a...

Beautiful location, with stunning beach and views of the pitons. The food is amazing and was exceptionally fresh straight from their own organic farm! Our room was fabulous, and completely open along one side allowing the scenery in!! All inclusive is the best way to go as the hotel is expensive. I would highly recommend. Thank you team for a...

We very much enjoyed staying at Anse Chastenet. The staff are very friendly, the location of the hotel is great with excellent views from many of the rooms, and of course on the beach. The rooms allow the breeze to come in and have nice terraces; they may be slightly dated but we found ours very comfortable and very much...

Attention to detail is excellent. Beautiful location and people. Had a fabulous relaxing vacation. Scuba diving was good and the staff excellent. It is 5 star all the way. Want to upgrade, try Jade Mountain. Would recommend the family plan for food and if you enjoy drinking get the all inclusive plan. Cocktails are a little bit expensive. Only concern...

There are lots of resorts in the Carribean; this is one of the very best. First, you should know the things that are important to me and my companion when we travel. We are snorkelers so we like places where the snorkeling is good and also accessible. Anse Chastanet Resort gets high marks on both counts. There is an abundance...

We chose this hotel for our first trip to St Lucia for my husbands 40th and we are so pleased we did it, it was worth every penny. This place is our idea of paradise an exclusive place you will not want to leave and that comes from somebody who gets very itchy feet. The hotel is set into the...

It was 259 steps from the beach to our room and we loved every step of it! The food was so delightful we were grateful for a means to work off the calories. Snorkeling directly out from the beach is surprisingly good with healthy corals. A pleasant surprise was music every night...some quite good local bands. Staff was friendly, mostly...

Expensive and very outdated in the basic rooms, this place is still one of the most decadently relaxing places you will have the joy of visiting. We spent five days and took advantage of the chocolate making tour, plus ate at Jade mountain resort a few times. Do not miss out on the Movie scene set - like Jade mountain...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Tranquility, Romance, Adventure: What were Caribbean hotels like when you sat watching the sunset instead of cable TV? You can still find that Classic Caribbean at Anse Chastanet on St. Lucia’s quiet southwestern coast where two magical peaks, the Pitons, leap from the sea and the mountains are covered with luminous greenery.Architect owner Nick Troubetzkoy believes passionately in nature. So he created a hotel that makes the foliage and the flowers, the perfumes and the peaks, the sea and the bird song an integral part of your vacation experience. The estate encompasses 600 lush tropical acres bordering two soft sand beaches. The resort’s two crystal-clear bays are part of a designated marine reserve protecting miles of colorful coral reefs teeming with tropical fish. With such a unique setting as his canvas, Nick Troubetzkoy was inspired to design a one -of-a-kind resort. A dozen rooms are tucked in behind the coconut palms that line the beach and the remainder tip toe up a flower decked hillside, taking advantage of the captivating scenery all around. Anse Chastanet’s ever growing art collection provides a visual feast of its own. There are impressive wooden sculptures and plaques, earthy burlap compositions, painted “sky ceilings” and vibrant acrylic paintings invoking memories of Matisse and Picasso. And while the sensuous seclusion of the rooms provides some guests with the perfect excuse for lolling away the day on the balcony, others head out to partake in the many activities on offer; yoga, snorkeling, scuba diving, tennis, sunset sailing, sea kayaking or jungle biking, hiking and bird-watching among the ruins of an 18th century colonial plantation. ... more   less
