Wonderful gardens, super location and so very peaceful. We had a wonderful few days here and came here after an all inclusive resort and wish we had of just come here first. The grounds are so nice and there are humming birds constantly around the pool. It truly is a wonderful place. Something to note, all beaches in Saint Lucia are public therefore you don't have to stay at a hotel located on the beach.
This place was perfect. As so many other reviews have said, the hosts (Keith and Sabine) really make this hotel special. They treat you like family. I stayed in St. Lucia during the crazy time of COVID-19. Honestly, most of the people I met were very cold and unfriendly. Not what i expected. But it might be due to fear of the virus, and financial uncertainty. So it meant the world to me to have a home base with such lovely people looking after me. Also, the pool and gardens are beautiful! The rooms feel safe and comfortable. When I visit again, I will stay nowhere else.
We stayed at the Palm Cottage Mar 3-6th, 2020 and had a fabulous time! The Palm Cottage is VERY cute and is located on a hillside below, and part of, the Apartment Espoir facility. The cottage is a bedroom, 2 bathroom unit with two fabulous decks, with excellent kitchen and living area. It is directly connected via a short walkway to a small shared pool nestled in a scenic area that is only a short walk to the ocean. Although all beaches in Saint Lucia are open to the public, we did find that one of the two resorts at the beach did not allow us access to their resort so I would say that accessing the beach / swimming at the cottage was somewhat limited. Snorkeling is pretty good to the left as you arrive at the beach. That said, it is only a short taxi ride (or bus) to Reduit Beach which is definitely worth considering for a day trip. I want to thank the owners, Keith and Sibene, for being such good hosts. They were super friendly and helpful! Regards, Mike…
Apartment Espoir is very peaceful with clean and well kept living space. The beach is a 5 minute walk = stunning. Also a great little pool to relax in. Close to local supermarket and different choices of places to eat. The owner Keith is very knowledgeable and will guide you in the right direction for having a great time in St Lucia.
First time in Saint-Lucia, came late in the day so called in to advise beforehand. Keith gave good and pertinent suggestions and advises for our arrival at Espoir as we were driving in. Very clean, functional apparment for two with superb view, sun setting on the balcony. The pool is a quiet haven. Keith is a very pleasant helping person. Only good things to say and yes, i'd recommend the place. If driving in, getting there for the first time is not your regular drive and using Maps was necessary, then you easily get used to.
I struggle to write this but I have been wronged. If this was a representation of the island, I would not come back. I went to St. Lucia on business and arrived early, booking at Espoir. The owner is so rude as he checked in. He didn't tell us that he had a mini store. He said, "It's not my fault, you register for this time. Everything is closed. You should've known better." What? This is a welcome to your country? I was happy to leave to a more suitable place.
Our flight was cancelled so after 8 hours in St Lucia airport BA sent us up to Apartment Espoir. WE arrived tired and hungry at 2am to be met by Keith who was utterly charming and could not have gone to more trouble for us. We woke up to the magnificent view and after breakfast followed Keiths advice and took a local bus up to Rodney Bay for a very happy day of exploring, ending up with a swim in the clear blue sea below the apartment and then in the pool. Keith was very helpful in leasing with BA re our rescheduled flight and organising a taxi to collect us. Many thanks for having us
The view from our terrace was fabulous. It ranged over the beautiful garden- full of birds- up to the mountains and down to the sparkling sea with artistically placed palm trees, ideal for watching the sun sink into the sea. You need to be fit to take full advantage of the property. Steps go down through the garden, past the pool and down again to the track leading to a small beach. This is shared by East Winds resort but all beaches are public. Keith gave us a very warm welcome with a cup of tea and lots of useful information. We were without a car but we walked down to the main road to take a bus into Rodney Bay - or further afield. These are very frequent and cheap. If you arrive by taxi, stop off en route at a supermarket as it is a long haul up on foot with shopping! Thank you Keith for a delightful stay.…
My family of 3 stayed a week, and loved it. Great for independent travelers who want to explore on their own, and you will need a car. Location was near to restaurants in Rodney Bay, and we loved having a kitchen so we could have breakfast in the mornings and drinks on the deck in the afternoon. Your host Keith is a warm and cheerful guy, and quite knowledgeable.
Apartment Espoir is a little out of the way and without a car it is a good 10 minute walk from the main road. If we had known that the restaurant was to be closed we may have chosen another place to stay.
