This is a defining 5 star tourist hotel. Just about absolutely perfect. Unbelievably tasteful decorations. Supremely beautiful view. Fast Internet, easy to sign in. Fresh air from every angle. Wonderful staff. Every amenity offered. I arrived with a rather severe injury, in healing, and the hotel arranged for a private nurse to come every evening to change my bandages before dinner. And the food…ahh the food. I think i first dined at the hotel when it was just a restaurant…many years ago…and it is still the best restaurant in St. Barths. There is no where in France that serves a better soufflé. How is this possible on a tiny island 3,000 miles from Paris? I don’t know. But they do it. Every day. I felt so lucky to be able to stay and eat here. Thank you everyone! Merci!

We spent 3 nights at Hotel Villa Marie and it was a complete delight. The hotel is small and intimate. The design is exquisite both inside and out. Our room was right by the pool and while there was no view, it was beautiful and very comfortable with plenty of room. I think it was called Hibiscus. As a design enthusiast I was really obsessed with the furnishings and custom upholstery. Every room is different which is super cool too. The pool tends to be very quiet as I think most people go down to their beach club GypSea, which is about a 10 miles drive at St Jean Beach. If you ask the front desk, they will make lounger reservations for you there (you get to use them for free) and a lunch reservation. Definitely do that one day. The water is calm and beautiful and the food is very good. We also really enjoyed the food at the hotel. Breakfasts are made to order and very tasty. Lunch and dinner were awesome too, although quite expensive. That's how the whole island is though so no surprises. Staff is wondering and friendly. I would definitely come back to Villa Marie if we return to St. Barts.…

I’ve stayed at some of the best hotels around the world. I base my opinions on interior design, quality of materials, attention to detail, and service. I am that guest that looks for faults, but I must admit that this experience left me speechless. The French colonial design in the lobby and restaurant is second to none, the pool and grounds offer a private experience as though everything is catering to you personally. There is nothing that the staff won’t do to make your stay more comfortable, 24 hours a day. The rooms are clean, plush, and exude luxury that can’t be described in their photos. This is a hotel that we will now make a tradition of returning to, and I’m sure you will as well.

Breakfast is served under the palm trees around the swimming pool. Not a lot of choice but this is not w buffet. all the essentials for french breakfast are there! It is one of the best places to start your day on the island

I was in Saint Barth for business which everyone I encountered during my trip thought was absolutely insane. I picked this hotel for three reasons. 1. They had excellent customer service, everytime I called the front desk they picked up and smoke amazing english. 2. The location seemed amazing, the rooms are high up on a hill and has great views of the ocean 3. Close proximity to Flammands. It was a 5 minute cab ride which the hotel was able to broker to me every time. Even in the events that I was in a cash only cab, the hotel would pay the fare and add it to my bill - AMAZING When I get to the airport, someone from the hotel was waiting for me, gave me a nice little tour of the island and then got me checked in. This property is absolutely amazing in person. The bottom part of the hill is where the main reception area is along with a REALLY NICE souvenir/spa shop, an outdoor dining area and an amazing restaurant and bar. My room was at the top of the hill, it's an easy walk but from time to time, you might feel it in your hamstrings once you hit the top. They have golf carts that can shuttle you around if you're not a walker. The food at the restaurant was absolutely amazing, it was some of the best breakfast I've ever had anywhere and the dinners were legendary. My room rate included the breakfasts for free, so I absolutely took advantage! No crappy buffet style breakfasts here, it was all a la carte and the options were outstanding The mixologists at the bar really know what they are doing as well. After you're done with dinner, you can walk over to another area of the restaurant where you could indulge in some incredible cigars and spirits. My room at the top of the hill had an amazing view of flammands beach, I still daydream about it weeks later! The beds were nice and high and the balcony with the comfortable furniture was a huge bonus. The little outdoor(but very private) bathroom with amazing toiletries was a nice touch. I did have a guest get upset at me for playing my music too loud in the shower area at 6AM though, sorry :). All said and done, this place was an absolute dream to stay at while I was here on business. Even though it is a very laid back island, the hotel staff understood that I was there on important business and they always made sure taxis were available for me early AM and also offered some take away options if I was running short on time. The hotel manager was an absolute sweetheart and every single person that I encountered here between the reception area, house keeping, bellhops, bartenders and servers were absolutely amazing people. We spent 10 days in this magnificent luxury hotel - with a view to take your breath away. The hotel offers huge rooms with big balcony terraces, carefully decorated in boutique style throughout. From the INCREDIBLE breakfasts, through the wonderful gardens, to the amazing evening meals and cocktails, none of this would be important without the incredible staff of The Villa, who were always at hand to help, no matter what the need. Each of them, without exception was professional, warm and kind - it was like taking a holiday in a 5 star version of your family home - and always with a smile. Special mentions to Etienne, the manager of the Restaurant, ‘Francois Plantation’ (excellent) and to Nicolas, the hotel manager who ensured our stay went off without a hitch; they are true assets to the Sibuet Group, understanding and replicating the spirit of the brand in St.Barth exactly as it is in sister hotels we have enjoyed in St. Tropez and Provence. Well done! Finally, a big thank you to the whole team for all their kindness and support when COVID-19 travel restrictions saw our return travel plans evaporate. They did everything possible to help us. We hope everyone will get through this difficult period and above all look forward to returning in the near future (because... their Avocado on toast!). I did a lot of research before booking this trip for my 50th birthday and decided on Villa Marie. We loved it here....lovely and comfortable rooms, great location and AMAZING staff. Can’t say enough about all the crew here!

I often start my reviews by stating that we are well-travelled--not to brag at all, but to give some context to my review. In other words, we've stayed at many hotels over the years, including some of the world's best, but we're not seduced by "names"--it's a place's soul; exceptional service; good people; clean, comfortable rooms; good food; and attention to detail, amongst other things, that win us over. Villa Marie Saint-Barth has all of those things we look for and more. Every person on staff that we encountered at the hotel was exceptional--Nicolas, the General Manager; Geraldine, the new concierge; the wonderful Simon and Melanie, at the front desk; David, in the restaurant; and others whose names I wasn't able to get. Everyone was friendly and warm, but sincerely, something often lacking at 5-star hotels--staff members at fine hotels often come across as stiff, although still professional. Geraldine called us in London before our trip to see if we needed assistance with anything. We were generously given a Prestige Caribbean Bungalow, and it was wonderfully spacious, clean and appropriately designed with spectacular views. Poolside breakfasts were superb, and David and his colleagues provided excellent service--so friendly and warm that if felt like home. And we often spent hours poolside each afternoon, and it was terrific. The hotel's location is also wonderful and private--high above Flamands in Colombier. We have visited Saint Barth many times, but this was our first time staying at Villa Marie, and we will return to Villa Marie--next December, in fact!…

This was the best location ever, I travel a lot and for our holiday, in St Barths this location was amazing. The rooms were big, design is amazing, service is the best, The reception desk was great, the stuff also amazing. They help us with the car rental, all the reservations we made at restaurants, also when we left the hotel, (we stated for one week and one week on a boat) They all were amazing even with the kids. Even though the price is high... (the period of time you stay is the most expensive part) it was worth all the money we spent.

We spend 5 days in December in Villa Marie. All was well organized: Transfer from/to the ferry, check-in, Organization of a rental car (which you definitely need for going around and to the beaches), housekeeping. We had a villa on the top of the hill with the best view ever over Plage des Flamands, the hills of Colombier and the ocean. The villa was very clean and equipped with all the 5-star-equippment. The whole staff was helpful every time, when we had questions and concerns. The interior of the main building with the restaurant is phantastic with an absolut luxury furnishing. A special highlight is the breakfast in the tropical garden near to the pool. It is not a buffet, they have a cooked to order menu with excellent dishes, which are presented by the excellent service staff. So when you get up after breakfast, you just think for the breakfast next day. Our stay was excellent in this luxury hotel; we definitely will come back…
