This is a gem. Can entirely see why it is no 1 on the island. From the moment we stepped out of the taxi, we felt so well catered for and the beauty of the surroundings blew us away. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are substantial yet homely with every facility. Our front of desk lady was a gem throughout the stay and all the staff and not least owner Wim and his wife are simply first class. The views from the rooms are terrific; the facilities excellent; the pool lovely; the poolside bar first rate and the food ( we only had breakfast as the restaurant was closed for dinner for totally understandable reasons) could hardly have been better. Often it is said - “We shall return”. In this case, for sure we will.

Went with a nutty group of scuba divers and the staff were very accommodating for our group of 12. The rooms are updated, clean and depending on which room you have there is a small fridge or a mini-fridge. I was in room #9 (ocean front) and it was perfect for me. The other divers had some of the suites and everyone enjoyed their stay. After diving, we would usually hang out at the pool and order drinks from the bar. The restaurant is not open every night so just get with Wim or Johanna and they can help you with dinner suggestions at restaurants up the road. All the shops, restaurants and the grocery stores are within walking distance (5-10 min max), but yes, everything in Saba is uphill….. both ways! Ha, ha, ha. Not sure about other months of the year, but when we were there Sept 11-18, it would rain for about 5 minutes a couple times a day so be sure to pack a poncho or raincoat. They have filtered water that you can refill anytime and it’s only $10 for your whole stay instead of walking to the store and buying bottled water. Loved all the beautiful flowers and trees around the property and the view is amazing. Oh, and yes, for Americans, the frogs are a bit noisy at night the first night, but at the end, it was actually nice and relaxing, butttt, if you are a light sleeper, bring ear plugs. Air conditioning worked great, towels were plentiful, and the TV had some streaming channels on it, but I never turned it on and chose to sit out on the balcony and take in the view. Highly recommend Juliana’s if you are going to the “Queen of the Caribbean”!

We stayed at Juliana's October of 2021 for Sea and Learn. It is the most charming little hotel ( as is everything on this island) with stunning views. Our room was spacious and lovely. The hotel restaurant is also charming with absolutely delicious food and a varied menu. The owners, Wim and Johanna, are so warm, friendly and inviting. The hotel is in a perfect location and most everything is in walking distance and they will call a cab for you for anything that is not. All the people of Saba that we met were so incredibly kind and friendly. The island itself is absolutely stunning! If you are into hiking, the trails here are a must. Everything is pristine and we felt like ants with the oversized flora surrounding us. The beauty is just indescribable! The main purpose of our trip was diving and that didn't disappoint either. The visibility was amazing, the coral was in great shape and teaming with life. Some of the best wall dives we have ever done! We can't wait to visit this amazing island again and are already in the process of booking with Juliana's!
