Peace - Nature - Silence. Nature lovers who enjoy priceless amenities of tropical flowers, palm trees and hammocks overlooking a deep blue sea and warm hospitality will find El Momo to be the perfect retreat. It's small, quiet, charming and a little "Robinson Crusoe like"; A little piece of paradise where time moves slowly and attention is paid to details. We have breathtaking sea views and fantastic ocean sunsets from October to March.

I had a really nice stay at el momo! Because of the COVID-19, I had to quarantine for 10 days. What better place to stay in quarantine than at this beautiful place!? The sea view was amazing (during the day but also with sunset), Andries and Eva where really accommodating, always up for a chat (on more than enough distance). They made sure I had good wifi to still do my work and gave me the option to feed one of the cats to have a friend whilst being in quarantine (of course not everyone would like this and you don't have to do that. But for me it made a big difference in not being alone all the time!)
The cottage I was staying in is called the turtle cottage. It was clean, enough room, small desk to work on, small but useful kitchen, a nice bed and a separate bathroom. Everything I needed. The location is from walking distance to Windwardside, where you have some nice places to dine and grab a drink. I would really recommend el momo!

We wanted to visit Saba as part of a month long trip in this part of the Caribbean but weren’t sure we could do it affordably. However, our cottage accommodation at El Momo did the trick. Within our price range and allowed us to cook our own meals. OK, we almost died lugging our way too heavy suitcases up the 67 steps but WoW, the view alone is totally worth it. The property is lovely. We stayed in ‘Turtle’ and it felt almost like camping. Deck has a million dollar view, there are comfy beds, loads of places to hang your belongings, bedside tables with reading lights & a mosquito net (we didn’t need). The kitchen is rustic but fully equipped. Pool is little but so refreshing. We will miss the outdoor shower with sunset view. Wifi worked perfectly! We drank the water, after it being filtered by the Brita.

There is a lending library, honesty bar and breakfast is available if you wish.

We appreciated the loan of the hiking guide and poles while we were there for the week. Also, the cat is friendly:-) Hikes are awesome!

The owners work REALLY hard and it shows. Thanks Andries!

Our only suggestions are: add a ceiling fan in the bedroom and some hammocks on the property.

Also, as you will have the windows open for the lovely be aware that there is a LOT of neighbourhood barking dogs and crowing roosters at ALL hours. It’s definitely not always peaceful.

We loved our stay here and would highly recommend.

El Momo is the perfect place to stay when you are on Saba. Friendly services from the hosts Andries and Eva, lots of nature and stunning scenery all around. There is a swimming pool and the location is not far from Windwardside, if you would like to eat out in a restaurant. Highly recommended!

Fantastic spot that lives up to the advertised peace and silence. The breakfast is delicious and homemade to order with local ingredients, and the hotel owners' service was attentive and easy. Just a heads up you should be comfortable with about 50 stairs to get to the hotel if you're going to stay here.

If you haven’t been to Saba, you should plan your visit now. The hiking is as varied as the villages. The diving is great. But the views are indescribable. El Momo is in Windwardside near most of the dining on the island, grocery stores, etc. a great central location for a short or long stay.
At the end of a day of hiking or diving there is nothing better than Watching the sunset from the pool at El Momo. Andries and Eva were wonderful hosts.

My husband and I stayed at El Momo for a week in March, and we loved it! The owners are very friendly and helpful. We stayed in Sunshine Cottage, which had a beautiful view from the deck and from the shower! We also enjoyed hanging out in the dining area and pool which also have great views. I would highly recommend El Momo for anyone who can climb stairs!

El Momo cottages is located at Saba: the perfect place for a nature lover to unwind. Hiking, snorkeling, diving, beatiful flora and fauna, all can be found at this little island.
From the pool deck and the breakfast room one could enjoy breathtaking views at the ocean. The cottages are clean and cosy and are located in a way that you have a lot of privacy. The hosts are very friendly and made me feel very welcome at this beautiful island.

The hosts are warm, kind and fun people to be around with. They are very accommodating and made Saba feel like home for me during Christmas. Its location is beautiful and there's a swimming pool available if you would like to cool down or have some fun. I highly recommend Momo Cottages.

Beautiful views from every angle. We stayed here two nights and the views were truly amazing. Very quiet and private and it felt like we had the entire hill to ourselves. We were welcomed with flowers and a greeting on a chalkboard and the owner even made breakfast for us the next morning. 100% worth the stay.

no casualties on Saba but a good amount of damage. we'll be up and running in a week or so.

Hello Anthony, Pretty much all accommodations are in or just outside Windwardside. From El Momo it's a 5 minute walk down the hill to the bars, restaurants, shops, dive centers, etc. in Windwardside. Back up the hill might take you a bit longer ;-) Most guests don't rent a car, because the majority of the hiking trails start in Windwardside or go around the island and the dive centers pick the guests up at the accommodations. January and February are our high season months, so things might get booked up at some stage. Early January is pretty busy already. February currently still has plenty availability. Contact us on our gmail account elmomo.cottages for more information. Warm regards, Andries
