It is ideal for couple, businessmen and women to get some rest and distractions.
My wife and I spent a week at La Pagerie at the end of May, 2022, which was the beginning of the low season. We enjoyed our stay there very much. Transportation by taxi from the airport was arranged by the hotel at our request. On our arrival, everything relating to our reservation was in order. We registered and got the keys to our room very quickly. The staff members at the front desk were very friendly and efficient. My wife speaks excellent French, I, only a little and badly, but we could have checked in entirely in English if we had chosen to do so. Other staff members are less fluent in English but all are helpful. Our room was on the third floor and faced the street. A business complex of shops and restaurants was across the road. Noise was not a problem. The sliding glass door to the balcony blocked most sound and the operation of the very good air conditioner masked the rest. The room was spotless, nicely decorated and in excellent repair. There was ample hot water and excellent water pressure. The bed was very comfortable. A minor issue was that the bathroom lacked a ventilating fan and steam from the shower took time to clear. We went to the hotel restaurant every morning for the breakfast buffet and once for dinner. Breakfasts were a highlight of our stay. The selection of food items was extensive and of high quality. It was a joy to be seated by the beautiful garden, feeling the warm, fresh air and watching the birds and occasional small lizard. The dinner we had at the restaurant was very good too. The chef accommodated my wife, who is a vegetarian, by preparing something special but having regular vegetarian options would have been appreciated. The pool was beautifully lit at night and it and pool area were very well maintained. The garden was large and had a remarkable variety of plants. It was lovely to spend time in it. Shops, restaurants, beaches and the ferry to Fort-de-France are within easy walking distance. A car is essential if you want to explore the island. There are several car rental agencies within steps of the hotel. The hotel has a small parking lot with spaces for about a dozen vehicles but, considering that the hotel has 95 rooms, the chances of finding a spot there are slim. Finding parking on nearby streets also can be very difficult.…
This hotel has a 'tropical garden' as its interior courtyard. The restaurant is excellent. The room is clean and attractive. The hotel is located in a busy little tourist village with a lot of tourist shops.
Hotel La Pagerie is centrally located in Tres Islet, best part of Martinique to stay as closer to most beautyful beaches. Within a walking distance you get to local Pont du Bou Marina, from where several exciting excursions depart and where it's easy to find a boat; moreover, just in front of the hotel there's the very nice Creol Village, full of typical shops, bars and restaurant offering the best of local heritage in terms of foof, beverages and handicrafts. Rooms are very spacious and comfortable, central pool and bar very nice and staff efficient and friendly. A special mention to Alessia, who has been unreplaceable in making our vacation perfect, providing promptly to all our necessities.
We stayed here for three days at the end of our trip. A most pleasant experience. Kevin at reception (hopefully I have his name correct!) greeted us and was extremely friendly and helpful, with a lovely manner, indicative of the way that we felt we were treated by all the staff we encountered at the hotel. Perhaps it was because of when we visited but we found the place very quiet and therefore exactly what we wanted. It was easy to relax. Our room was very clean and spacious; the bed was beyond comfortable; the AC was perfect, and the shower excellent. There was also a large wardrobe and an iron and ironing board. The WIFI was strong. The hotel seemed to very much respect the COVID regulations: at breakfast we were greeted by a member of staff who escorted us around the buffet and filled up our plates for us. Each arriving guest was treated the same way, ensuring that surfaces were touched a minimum amount of times and only by staff wearing masks. Both women who were working there that morning were calm and friendly. We'd like to say a special thanks to Marion who was at the pool bar when we ate lunch there (order the fish burger - it is amazing!): she was extremely pleasant and helpful. The location of this place is great: you are close to the Creole Village. Yes it's touristy but if convenient bars, shops and restaurants are what you're after then it's perfect. You are also a stone's throw from the beach so it makes it easy to plan your days and excursions without having to worry about finding spots to eat. Overall, a great experience and a hotel I would consider returning to in a heartbeat. Big, big thank you again to all the staff: they made the trip for us. A smile, a pleasant hello - both make such a difference and they did, in this case, to us. In a time of limited contact and worldwide hardship, friendliness seems to count for even more than it did before :) Please pass on our thank yous.…
We stayed at the hotel for 6 nights and greatly enjoyed our time in Trois Islets. Spoilt for choice for food , drink and shopping. Best meal was having a pierrade bringing back happy memories of 30 years ago in the French Alps. Lots to do beaches, cheap ferry ride to Fort de France, a much better capital than we expected. You need a car to get the best out of this beautiful island Botanical Gardens. Mt Pelee and the atmospheric old capital of St Pierre.
We spent 9 nights here and must say we loved every minute! The Room was clean and comfortable. The staff extremely friendly and most spoke English. We ate at the pool bar and the restaurant and the food was delicious. Would highly recommend this hotel !!!!!
Good Palace and Harbour very near. Reasonable Price to go on a ferry to Fort De France and some beaches. Ofcourse this is a tourist Palace, but there were happenings and rather good restaurants. Also car rentals nearby. Pagerie had a nice pool Area and special mentiin to a bar keeper in the hotel reseptiin area. Thank you very much.
We enjoyed our stay at La Pagerie. We liked the location - even though it is not directly on the beach. (There are two beaches very close by). It is across the street from a shopping area and it is on a small street w shops and restaurants and the harbor all very close. The rooms are simple, but very clean and have everything you need - a small refrigerator, hairdryer, etc. The restaurant food was very good - in fact, the tuna was excellent. We enjoyed the swim up bar and had a glass of French champagne. Monday evening there is a reception with a welcome cocktail and a lesson on how to make Ti Punch, the local drink. We also enjoyed doing some floral arrangements with beautiful, local flowers. Overall, the hotel did a very good job. We would stay there again.
This hotel is modern, comfortable and clean. We enjoyed the pool the most and spent most of our time relaxing there. The hotel is located in an area with numerous restaurants and shops. Note that Trois-Islets is very touristy (not authentic Martinique). There is a small parking lot at the the hotel and we were able to park there for the duration of our stay (may be worth checking with the hotel in advance as I am not sure what happens if the parking lot is full). On our last night we ate at le Pitaya restaurant. We were disappointed we did not try the restaurant sooner. The food and service were excellent and worth the higher price point. I couldn't recommend this restaurant enough. The staff at the poolside restaurant were also great. The poolside food was good, not great, but as I would expect. We didn't opt for the breakfast as it was a bit pricey and I prefer a lighter breakfast than a large buffer. There are some options for breakfast right by the hotel such as the Baguet Shop patisserie for a light breakfast. We went to visit Fort de France one day and were able to take a quick ferry (I believe the cost was 7 euros return/person) which was much better than taking the car and parking.…
Unfortunately, this hotel turned out to be quite the dissapointment, in fact the only bad hotel experience during our 1-month trip taking us to 8 Caribbean Islands in total. First of all, the hotel did not look like anything depicted in the pictures seen at Hotels.com. Secondly, the cost of the hotel was very poor value for money considering the following factors; Location; Hotel is situated in La Pointe du Bout, a very touristy, but not particularly charming area of Martinique. Moreover, the hotel is sort of built together with a shopping arcade with a bar area across the street. Hotel; While the rooms were ok, the pool and restaurant area was quite sad looking with the area around the pool bar mostly resembling a highway stop under reconstruction. Also, the food served at the pool bar was poor, at best. Hotel staff; Not particularly friendly, to the extent they were even able to communicate in English. Price; Way to expensive for what you get. Even if heavily discounted, I would not consider this hotel again with the other options available on the island taking into account the above findings. On a side note: Angela (from Service Reservation) ended charging us for breakfast we didn’t have and later refused to repay the amount, despite her colleagues at the reception desk having promised us that it would be refunded without any hassle. Subsequent enquiries have simply been given the silent treatment by the hotel. Very poor customer service. Would strongly advise against chosing this hotel when visiting Martinique.…
