On a cruise ship and this is the first time we have been to Martinique. Should have realised not much history and not much to do on the island by the poor choice of trips available from the ship. Never mind we always get off and get a local taxi to show us around. Well at these

The front desk service and breakfast was great. The location was very far from anything. The sheets were never changed and a winning scratch ticket was taken from our room. We also had very noisy neighbors at some point.

Very nice hotel but one issue. That is the bathroom and showering. There is no curtain, the floor is flat and the floor gets all wet. This is a trip hazard, someone call fall and hurt themselves. Solve.

How far away do the cruise ships leave from your hotel or the airport!
Enjoy your visit to Martinique, Natasha! The cruise ships mostly dock in downtown Fort-de-France. I walked there every day from the auberge--about an hour--but you can also take a bus, which leaves about twice an hour. The auberge is about halfway between the airport and downtown and not easily accessible by public bus, so most people opt for expensive (25 euros or so) taxis.
