Margo and Joe, the owners of this guesthouse, are quite possibly the definition of a "married couple goals". They were very quick in responding to our emails to reserve, attentive to our last minute questions, extremely well-informed, but also laid-back enough in the island groove to immediately put you in a relaxing mood. The guesthouse is located in Esperanza, which... More

What a fantastic home! The apartment we stayed in had a true Caribbean feel through it's cute decor and fresh tropical flowers adorning the counter tops. It was clean and very comfortable! The views from the different porches were fantastic. Easy walking distances to food, market and the beach! Joe and Margo were the greatest! Friendly as can be and... More

We really enjoyed our one night stay at this guesthouse. We stayed in the back in the casita, which was perfect for us. We are a gay couple and the hosts were very gay friendly and extremely friendly in general. The casita came with everything we needed- bug spray, beach towels, toiletries, citronella candles, and even a clothesline to hang... More

From the moment we arrived Joe and Margo made sure we got settled and had everything we needed. We rented the two bedroom flat with another couple we have been friends with for 30 years. It was absolutely perfect. A two minute walk to the Malecon. Our hosts made sure we knew which beaches to hit and answered all of... More

Just adding our positive review to all the others. Enjoyed the apartment and the hosts were very helpful. It's an easy walk to the Malecon--we did not rent a car while we were here. The roosters crowing becomes background noise after awhile. Loved the shady porch area and sitting on the roof at sunset. The grocery store was close and... More

We stayed with Margo and Joe in their separate cottage for one night in Vieques. They were extremely accommodating, looking after our bags before check in and after check out so that we could explore the island at ease. They even had beach towels we could take with us. The room itself was cozy and had all the necessities. Location... More

Margo and Joe make very friendly and helpful host in this cozy and simple guest house in Esperanza. They make sure first-time visitors find their way around in Vieques and Esperanza and know how things work on the Island. The rooms are clean and well-kept. I stayed in the Casita, which is a little detached hut in the back garden... More

Our 2nd stay at Coco Loco, so we know this place is A-OK! We love the friendly hosts, the cottages are charming, arrangements allow us to cook, walk just down the street to the market, eateries, beach. Fun to watch baseball games just across the street, daily parade of horses, chickens, boombox (BIG) car parade. A feeling of being right... More

My wife and I spent four nights of our honeymoon at the Coco Loco Guesthouse and it was our favorite part of our trip. We didn't get to meet Margo because she was out of town, but Joe was super helpful and informative. We loved the balcony porch with the hammocks and spent a number of hours up on the... More

We rented the 2 bedroom apartment at Coco Loco and LOVED it. The big outdoor area with table and chairs and hammocks was where we spent most of our time, there is a cool blue light on the porch which makes it just the place for some wine and cards at night. The living room/kitchen area is open and airy... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Coco Loco guesthouse is walking distance to just about everything you need: beaches, little grocery stores, pizza shops, parks, and the Boardwalk (Malecon) with oceanside restaurants, gift shops, bars, clothing stores, a museum with an aquarium of local creatures, rentals of kayaks, snorkeling equipment, jet-skis, and scooters, and more! The Biobay Tour companies pick up people at the corner of our street. We are in the popular neighborhood of Esperanza- but just far enough from the Boardwalk to be free from its occasional noisiness. You can walk a block and a half to join in the fun, or stay behind at Coco Loco if you want to relax! We offer cottage-style beach living at a very low price. Stay for one night, two nights, or however many you need. Our Studio is perfect for short visits or a low budget vacation. Our One Bedroom and Two Bedroom Apartments have wonderful balconies, and stairs to the rooftop! The apartments are spacious and comfortable for however long or short a time you'd like to stay. ... more   less
