I've been meaning to write this review and find myself speechless. No words can describe how magical this place is, but some come to mind...Peace, Caribbean, love, kindness, caring, views, tranquility, fun, laughs, special touches, horses, hosts, clean, comfortable. Everything I love is here! I cry as I write this because it pulls at my heart strings. From the warm welcome of Hector and Mary, to waking up to a beautiful sunrise, I make a coffee, bring it down to the private beach and have my morning time (usually I'm not a morning person), then I go back and lie in my personal hammock, read, wait for my boys to wake up, chat with hubby, watch the horses, feel the warm crosswinds, watch the tiny lizards. Decide which of the several beaches we will visit this day. Come home for a

We had the best time of our lives here, the people went above and beyond to make sure we were happy! The views, the pool, the horses, and the location in general was perfect and exactly what we wanted!

Spring break in the Mango cabana overlooking the stunning Caribbean Sea...perfection. Mango is clean and simple, it has everything that you need and with a spectacular view. Mary and Hector are charming hosts, they saw to all of our needs and gave great recommendations about restaurants, etc. The Vieques beaches were all so beautiful and quiet and we had great snorkeling adventures. We did just what Hector's tagline says: "Relax, replenish, rejuvenate." It was a perfect vacation in a tropical paradise.

It's always a beautiful and transcendent moment when the jeep crests the top of the rutted dirt road to Hector's...and we see once again the apricot-colored casitas glowing in the afternoon sun and the three pretty ponies and the Caribbean, sparkling of course, just beyond. "Yes," my soul says, "I am singing now." We have waited all year (holding Vieques and Hector's in our hearts) for this reunion of sea and warm breezes and pastured horses, and I am happy. Soon, we will see Mary and Hector (you will love them, too), who greet us as old friends, and we catch up a bit. Our room, as ever, is perfect and simple, by some magic having everything we need for our time here. Tonight we will sleep on clean sheets to the call of a coqui and the wind skimming the palm branches, but

What can I say that others haven't? First off, Vieques is a paradise, and Hector's is a paradise within a paradise. We had an amazing time there this past week. Hector's is just far enough away from the main "town" of Esperanza that you feel secluded, but you are only a short drive from world-class beaches. The rooms are simple, clean, and had everything we needed: kitchenette (with coffee maker), bathroom with shampoo, soap and ample towels. They also provided beach towels and chairs, which were used every day. The grounds itself are beautiful. There is a pool, which we used to cool-off in every day after the beach. The gazebo was a highlight for me every morning with my coffee and an amazing view of the sea. They have access to the beach which is just a little
