9 of us arrived on Christmas Eve for dinner. This gem of a restaurant on the ocean front wasted no time in putting together a large table and offering us a wide variety of cuisine. The chef visited the table to answer questions and the food was superb. 9 different main courses were selected and all were wonderful. The staff...

We arrived on Vieques coming from a fancy resort on the main island, so the rustic nature of Trade Winds was a bit of a shock. The rooms are oddly shaped, a bit dark and claustrophobic, but most or all seem to have some ventilation and the dim light can be good for sleeping. Our room was air conditioned but...

Went to the first time while I was staying in the Esperanza area. Great breakfast for an affordable price. The owner has such a great taste , each area is extremely well decorated with beach ornaments and spectacular paintings. Great ocean view while you eat. Great pancakes with scrambled eggs. Coffee was so good you can serve , and dont...

We stayed for three days at this guesthouse. The rooms are very simple and small but overall, the place was great! It is located right in front of the beach so it has an amazing view, specially at sunset. All employees were extremely helpful and friendly. Even though we were the only guests, every single day a person came in...

No frills here but it is clean. They have a great gift shop, probably the best in Esperanza. Tradewinds is rustic and pretty old, many rooms are very small with tiny windows onto the deck. I was disappointed they didn't have shampoo in the rooms or even for sale in the shop and I had to walk a couple of...

"Summertime and the living is easy." That is how it is on Vieques in the off season especially during the week (and all year around for that matter.) My wife and I spent three fun and relaxing days at this fine inn recently with a group of ex-professors from the University of Puerto RIco-Humacao. Of course you can also come...

Room was pretty basic (cinderblock construction) but had king size bed and overlooks the water. No windows in room, but had a door onto a shared (with two other rooms) sun deck with partial water view. Clean and nicely decorated. Breakfast was very nice hot meal from their menu. Staff was very friendly and helpful. On the main waterfront street...

We stayed in Tradewinds for a night when we were in Vieques. The location of this hotel is perfect - it is right on one end of Malecon and is close by to the bars and restaurants. The bio-bay tour pick up/ drop of is just right in front of the hotel as well. The view of the bay from...

We spent three nights here in room 3. The room itself was clean and comfortable, and everything functioned. It was a bit dark since it's long and narrow and the only windows are in the bathroom and the door to the shared deck. But that didn't matter because we were only there to sleep and shower. The rest of the...

The staff was very very friendly! Especially David! We got our days mixed up and missed the date that we were supposed to check in. He went above and beyond and made arrangements so we could stay with them. He also make sure we could still go on the bio bay tour which was a breathtaking experience! The guest house...
