We took Kurt's wonderful tour of his 8-acre coffee plantation last week and learned so very much about the process of coffee-making. He spoke with us about the history of coffee as well as showed us each step in the process of making it. We spent about 2.5 hours with him, which included 2 cups of his coffee, banana bread,...

Katy and I stayed in Casita 1 for a wonderful, relaxing night. It was the perfect respite during our adventures traveling around Puerto Rico. It really is the Isla del Encanto! We stopped at the lechoneras of Guavate and filled up on medallas and roast pork along the way. The curvy mountain roads leading up to the Hacienda were an...

This is a great place to come to unwind or to stay at while traveling La Ruta Panoramica. We left San Juan in the morning, visited Aibonito, drove miles on La Ruta, hiked the Cristobal Canyon, and arrived here about 4 pm. We stayed in the two twin-bed cabin and loved it. It has two comfortable beds, a great porch,...

Kurt and Eva were excellent hosts on a beautiful coffee country experience. I visited Hacienda Pomarrosa with my 3 sons this week and we had a memorable time. No Wifi or cell signal gave us the perfect time to talk, see the stars, play dominos and enjoy the cool mountain breeze. Our cabin was very comfortable and perfect size for...

This was a great little house in the hills of Ponce. The room was very clean, adequate enough for 2 people and the bed was very soft. The bathroom has a shower with good hot water and very clean. My favorite part was the hammock on the porch and breakfast in the morning. My boyfriend had 3 cups of coffee...

We had the utmost pleasure of spending two nights at Hacienda Pomarrosa, which we can highly recommend. Kurt is the perfect host and served us one of the most delicious breakfast we had at Puerto Rico - unfortunately, we did not have time to experience the full meal. We also did the coffee tour, which is highly recommended, Kurt being...

Kurt is a wonderful and most intriguing man. He loves his plants and his work, and you can feel it. His farm is nestled neatly atop the PR mountains. His farm is so biodiverse; It proved to be a sanctuary and a relaxing well delivered experience.

Staying with Kurt at Hacienda Pomarossa was a real highlight of our holiday in Puerto Rico. Do not let the drive put you off! Some of the reviews here say it's really scary so we were worried, but it's actually fine - and we are nervous drivers and did it in a rainstorm! The road is wide enough for two...

This is a terrific tour if you are a coffee lover -- or if you just want to get out of the tourist areas for a day. If you are coming from San Juan and follow Kurt's (the owner's) recommended route, you'll also get a great drive down to the southern side of the island before you head up into...

We wanted to get out of San Juan for a day and see more of the island. We found information on Kurt and his tours online and thought learning about coffee would be interesting. It was so much fun and so interesting that we want to go back and just hang out with Kurt. The drive up the mountain road...
