This is a lovely spread out property in a great location if you want to explore the island a little more than just staying in San Juan. we stayed for 5 nights here before staying 3 nights in SJ and I am so glad we did. There were a few hiccups during our stay, but I would definitely return. The pool area is beautiful and you are steps away from the beach which is always a plus. We had a gorgeous view and although I never think paying for a view makes sense, I will say it was SO nice to walk out onto our balcony everyday to just sit and look out. We were 4 in the room and shower at least twice a day because we were always returning from a beach excursion or pool day, so not having enough towels everyday was a bit frustrating. I had to call everyday to ask for more towels because for some reason we were always supplied enough for just 3 people. That just didn’t make sense to me since when we booked I had to submit the number of guests in the first place. Additionally, i wanted to do a load of laundry before we left for San Juan and just couldn’t. We were staying in the Ocean Tower which was furthest from the lobby. i called to find out where there was a laundry available and informed that it was in the adjacent tower and that the machines take quarters that they would be happy to supply me with. Fine. I take a load to the adjacent tower only to find that the ONE washing machine was out of order & the only laundry detergent there was an opened box that I would have to scoop dry detergent from. At that point (its 10pm) I am not walking across the property to the other tower to look to see if that machine is working.
We did enjoy a few meals and it was always pleasant except for the birds that would swoop in when others have finished and didn’t bother using the plate covers that are provided. No fault of the property, just worth a mention if you’re traveling with someone afraid of birds. We also took advantage of the golf club side and loved it there! The pool is beautiful, the beach is quiet, and the food was delicious! One day we used the shuttle to go over and the 2nd day we just drove because waiting for the shuttle when you’re ready to go was a drag in the heat.
We did hit the casino a couple of times and that was nice too.
Overall, it was a great stay and I would definitely return.

I have Diamond status and spent 5 nights here using my Hilton Honors points Dec 27-Jan 1 during a very busy week but the friendliness and awesome service provided by every single employee of the hotel from housekeeping staff to the pool and restaurant staff truly made our stay amazing! The sincerely kind employees went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Grimaldy did an excellent job at the breakfast restaurant and he kept everything organized and running smoothly during the busiest of times. He went out of his way to give us some suggestions of fun things to see during our stay in Ponce and he is one of the reasons we love staying at this hotel so much. I travel frequently and have to say that Elvin is the BEST omelette chef of ANY hotel anywhere. I don’t know how he does it being so busy and still making the omelettes to perfection! I have stayed at this hotel many times over the past 10 years and it has consistently delivered a great stay on every visit and that I why I keep coming back. The rooms are kept very clean and they are comfortable despite the hotel being an older property. I enjoyed turning off the A/C and opening the sliding door to the room balcony and listening to the peaceful sound of the waves. The room stayed cool with just the ceiling fan on and the breeze off the ocean. We had a King room on the 4th floor of the Ocean Tower. We enjoyed all the walking around the property here but if walking is an issue for you, request a room closer to the main lobby area. The food at the breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet was delicious and at a great price point. We were so pleased by the value and fair prices at this hotel! We especially enjoyed the Saturday night local Puerto Rican food buffet with dancers from Ponce! The dancers were so much fun to watch and the local cuisine was great! We LOVE how clean they keep all of the public areas of the hotel and grounds here. Every day we saw employees washing the floors, walkways and cleaning the grounds and pool areas. We enjoyed going over the the Costa Caribe golf club and spending time swimming at the beautiful black sand beach there. It is an excellent swimming spot and the ocean is clear and warm. The bottom was soft smooth pebbles and sand and we were protected from big waves by a natural reef just off the beach. We also enjoyed the pool at Costa Caribe. We dined at Sanchos restaurant and they allowed us to eat poolside and enjoy our shaded spot and view of the ocean. Overall we had a wonderful stay here and I cannot wait to return again in the future. Hilton Ponce you are doing a stellar job providing a great guest experience!

I was greeted with a smile and holiday cookies by Yarlene at reception. As a gold member I wanted to double check that the room I booked was indeed what I was about to be issued. I am glad I asked as I was told I had been assigned a pool view room. I noted my reservation is for an oceanfront patio. Yarlene apologized and quickly found an ocean view (not ground floor oceanfront). It turned out to be a handicap room on a higher floor and it had a balcony and so great views of the ocean nonetheless.
The hotel grounds and rooms were clean. Staff were friendly and always busy cleaning and catering to guest’s needs. The beach has black sand, but don’t let the color put you off. The consistency of the sand is lovely and makes for a great barefoot walk on the beach at sunrise. I enjoyed riding the bike along the perimeter of the hotel. By shuttle, we visited their neighboring and more tranquil facility where their is a golf course, another pool and a beachfront area with lounge chairs. Plenty of parking and I advise to park closest to the building that you are assigned. I would recommend bringing along mosquito repellent and money to tip as the staff is deserving. All in all it is a delightful place to stay. We look forward to our next visit!

Property is beautiful...Staff is friendly. Rooms are good (walkout oceanfront in Ocean tower)...a little dated but clean. There is only one washer and dryer on the property I could find (I like to wash clothes so I don't need to bring extra luggage). If you're a Hilton Diamond this is the only option on the southern side of the island but it stands up well to other Hilton resorts.

Aging Hilton with good amenities, great tiki bar with fantastics drinks. Recommend the passionfruit rum, with OJ & cranberry. Relaxing open air resort. Mattresses are on the firm side.
Despite the potential our stay was a freezing nightmare! (Except the mini fridge, that did not cool.)
It is winter & room AC was 65° upon check in, I promptly turned the AC off but it kept blowing cold air on high. We opened the doors because it was warmer outside at 70°. By 11pm I was literally turning blue (Raynaud’s disease) & I knew I was not going to get any sleep, or worse end up sick. Went to front desk to request mantaince. Maintainence came & said there was no way to turn off the AC, make air warmer, or flip the breaker. I asked if there was a warmer room they could move us to as it was getting rather uncomfortable. He stated all the rooms were the same & insisted that all the AC units stay on full time. I requested an extra blanket & hoped for the best. By 1am we were searching everywhere for a way to cut power to the ac unit locked in the closet, tried to block vent, & shoved towels into the vent to no avail. At one point I took cushions to the balcony & laid out there trying to warm up. We considered checking out but didn’t have anywhere to go at 3am. It was a long miserable night; we didn’t get any sleep & my partner had an important meeting that AM. The next day we asked the front desk if we could try a different room or we needed to check out. Thankfully she was able to accommodate. We switched rooms, I walked in turned the AC to off & it immediately kicked off! Are you kidding me?

New room was inferior view but was normal temp. I ended up sleeping most the day from exhaustion. Too bad because the pool looked awesome.
I’m disappointed, competent maintenance or a simple room change would have scored them 5*’s. Instead we got a sore throat & gaslighted by the maintenance man. I booked Hilton because consistency of comfort however this is the second time broken AC happened in a Hilton with no resolution.
Irony is our food spoiled in the mini fridge that was also broken. Guess we should have left it out in the AC? I’m pretty sure we got the reject room.

The hotel was built in the early 90s and was updated 10 years ago. It's too bad that they didn't take the opportunity to renovate during low occupancy times of covid. Bathrooms could use an upgrade. Remove the tubs in the majority of rooms and replace with walk in shower.
The pool area is well maintained- the woman in charge spends hours every morning spraying down the chairs and table with disinfectant. The pool looks huge in the photos but actually it is more for standing than swimming laps. The beach is not very attractive and most guests stayed by the pool.
Due to covid, masks were still required in all parts of the resort. Rooms are only cleaned on Thursdays and one other day. They will provide clean towels if you ask.
This is a good resort if you're looking for a relaxing good time with your family.

This hotel has all the things you need to enjoy a nice stay, the tiki bar has a huge big screen projection tv attached to the side of the hotel wall, the largest I have ever seen at a hotel. You can be in the surrounding pools and watch the huge tv on the side of the building. The beach was ok not the largest Ive ever seen but nice. The staff were freindly and gave us a late check out time from 11am to 2pm. The in room dining was better than the Condado Vanderbuilt in San Juan where we had a second hotel room. We had sun shine most of the day because the way the sun came up and went down. The food was good, and the drinks as well. Like most hotels the food, and drinks are not cheap in price but thats why you can get your own things down town which is close by and very cheep in price, you can go to Churches Chicken and pig out for about 5 or 6 bucks. They have a gorgeous golf course too, right along the ocean, and there is a boat harbor where you can charter a day of fishing if you want. Over all I would recommend this hotel, we liked the area better than San Juan even though we had a 5.0 earth quake while at hotel. Being from Alaska it wasn't a big deal to us. Nice place, layed back, clean, and quiet.

First of All let me say: a website should embody the truth of the business it serves. We recently went on a trip that was in the works for over 6 months, and we were sadly disappointed. The website states things that aren't represented in the actual services you receive from a Hilton Hotel. While on 7 day adventure we were scheduled to receive turn down service on day 6 (the day before we left). We had to call daily for towels and things that typically occur during turn down. Needless to say there isn't any room service either, but yet none of these things are listed on the wesite. Some phony reviews state that the pool is open until 10pm and occasional extensions are granted; this is untrue they close at 9pm. So far all that I have listed isn’t explained to you its given to you almost discretely on a sliver of paper at check in after a 4hr flight (WTH). And if you request something that takes too long and you have to leave, the DO NOT DISTURB sign is useless because they will still enter your room :-( .. Lastly customer service is lacking. I gave them a 2 because of their bar, those guys should be at the front desk because they know how to talk to people. Ps. It is not at all close to any amenities. I would gladly spend more to stay in San Juan next time.

We gate crashed for the afternoon (we actually stayed at an Airbnb in Ponce for $70). We laid out at the beach, swam at the pool, and went to the casino. The positives: The pool area and outdoor bar area are really nicely done. There's an area with a big screen to watch sports games, there is a main pool with a water slide, a kiddie pool, a splash pad, and two hot tubs. The pool area bathrooms/changing areas are a nice, convenient addition with shower stalls, hot water, and soap dispensers. The negatives: The beach is advertised as a black sand beach.....eh, it was gray at best. You have to go through a very industrial gate to get to the beach area, which is very narrow and feels like an afterthought. The architecture of the buildings is very dated as well as the lobby area. The casino is small and cramped. They charge for surface parking in their parking lot (although only $3). The resort is in a really isolated area and the only attraction nearby is Ponce's boardwalk area, which was badly damaged by the hurricane and is still closed.

Not sure what to expect we were pleasantly surprised by the hotel. The grounds are hotel are well maintained. Pol is the showpiece - very clean and quiet; though lots of birds but they only bother you if have open food around. Staff was very friendly and rooms large though they could use some remodeling and shower heads cleaned better. If you are the south coast of Ponce I would recommend staying.
