Everyone I interacted with was perfectly lovely, but the hotel (half empty) was seriously understaffed, and there was always a line for everything: i skipped my free breakfast both mornings I was there given the endless line. Room was clean, big- gorgeous view of the ocean, though I think every room in every building has an ocean view, certainly in Ocean Tower and West Tower (on higher floors). Its a nice expansive property that needs a refurbish: the pool is crowded and very family friendly- there is ample space to build a no-kids area for a more chill vibe. Lotsa Covid protection protocols. They take it seriously. Appreciated. The beach doesnt have like a set up area to sit/relax, but the water is gorgeous and the unspoiled coastline was beautiful. Was actually my favorite part of the hotel. Was VERY frustrating when i tried to go back on our last morning there: next to the sign that says "Beach Open 8-6" was a locked gate, preventing access on a sunny Sunday morning at 10. Lotsa potential but Hilton should get it together here.…
My wife and I spent 3 weeks here in December 2020. Ignore all the hype about Puerto Rico and COVID hot zones. The Hilton Ponce resort is a sanctuary from COVID!! The management team has done a superb job off providing a phenomenal retreat experience while exceeding all of Puerto Rico’s health requirements. The golf course is in great condition, the gym is in an open air environment, the casino is open and fun, the food is great and the beach/pool are as beautiful as ever. The staff are excellently trained and will exceed your expectations with a smile. If you want a COVID getaway you need to go to the Hilton Ponce. Don’t believe the COVID scare tactics you read on the internet.
Visited in Christmas 2020, during the Covid period. The Hotel is overall very well laid out, with a very calming vibe. The pool area is "chill" with a nice pool bar and restaurant. We enjoyed the Christmas Eve/Day Buffet, which featured a very nice spread of Local and international dishes for Christmas. The connected Golf course is very nice, with a quiet vibe and a whole second Pool and resort area a short shuttle ride away. Note that the Beach is more of a walking beach, lots of big crashing waves. Not the best for swimming or lounging. Beautiful either way!
We are touring the island and this is our second to the last stop. We chose to stay with Hilton instead of an Airbnb or a local boutique hotel because we were worried that with COVID, there might not be public celebrations around town. However, after we checked in yesterday, everything we encountered in this hotel was pure disappointment. This hotel illustrates everything a hospitality business SHOULD NOT do. We checked in an hour before the check in time and the room wasn’t ready, which is fine; however, the employee promised to notify us when the room is ready and we never heard back from him. The velvet team took three round to validate our parking ticket properly. The room service people hang up on my bf and left out a part of our order. On top of these, there’s also slow service, impatient employees, old facilities, chaotic pool settings, dirty & ugly beach, super thin walls, etc. At this point I just want to get this new year over with and go to our next destination. If you care about quality of your stay, DO NOT STAY WITH HILTON (or any business hotel chains). …
This hotel is very clean, comfortable rooms and excelent service. The restorsnt for breakfast and dinner is buffe with a good variety. Good for relaxing time, take a rest, have fun and or a get together with family or friends. It have a nice pool and beach. I will stay again and you will enjoy.
