Overall, this is a nice hotel. The employees are best in class. Everyone was polite and helpful. The resort fee is obscene as there are pools, a fitness center, and little else. The main, family pool, has loud music blasting during the day, which makes for a less than relaxing environment. The adult pools are very small, but the area is quiet and relaxing. Food is very expensive and nothing special. One stay was enough for this lifetime.

In my opinion, this is the best hotel choice in Puerto Rico if you want to be centrally located in the metropolitan area. This is a city resort; not a beach resort- just keep that in mind. This is the best place unless you want to be in a remote location at the Dorado Ritz or St. Regis which are both 30+ minutes away driving from the metropolitan San Juan area. The Ritz Carlton in Isla Verde (which is also centrally located in the metropolitan area) is STILL closed post-Maria, otherwise would be the only other place that I would recommend. The Condado Vanderbilt Hotel is a grand old hotel beautifully renovated and kept up with modern features; it is the best of both worlds. The ocean front suites make you feel as if you are on a cruise ship, and you can hear the crashing waves from within! Very professional staff however there’s no doorman which I find strange for this type of hotel, Instead they have 6 to 7 folks dressed in all white out front who I guess are Valets- but they don’t speak a word to anybody nor do they open the front doors, rather just stand together in a click. This arrival area could be so much better. This is a fantastic hotel, is not my first stay and certainly won’t be my last.

Room Tip: Ocean front rooms/suites definitely worth the extra money. Ask for one NOT facing The Ocean club...

Me and my boyfriend visited this hotel for labor day weekend and we absolutely loved our stay at the Condado Vanderbilt! The location was perfect, the atmosphere was amazing, the room was clean and beautiful. I felt extremely safe since this hotel follows strict covid protocols. Special thanks to Manuel at the pool, I felt very welcomed and taken care of! He was amazing. We will be back, can't wait!

Just finished a 4 day stay at this property and i can't wait to return. All the restaurants were so good, food was a little overpriced in STK but overall amazing food. Pools were all great but my favorite was the infinity pool. They had a DJ close to the pools, they had free sorbet and great service by the pool crew in particular Manuel and Hector who took very good care us. The gym and public areas were very clean and that was key in our stay too. My room was beautiful and housekeeping did a very good job keeping it clean as well. We will return!

I was so thrilled to come here in a much needed vacation and the Vanderbilt delivered! From check in to check out everything went smoothly. My ocean view suite was quite amazing and beautiful and i absolutely loved it. We had days of sun and we had days of rain but everyday was a blessing. The pools are beautiful and clean with great service around. Hector our waiter always had our drinks coming and Manuel with the towels made our time at the pool as comfortable as could be. Tacos and Tequila is by far my favorite restaurant in the property and Jerik makes the best drinks! Overall my stay was quite stellar and i wanna come back soon.
