The Condado Vanderbilt is AMAZING! The view is spectacular and the staff is one of a kind. Be sure to visit Lyana, the Ola bartender. She was personable, knowledgeable, and the absolute best. Loved chatting with her. She knows the area so she gave lots of great tips and sites to visit.
Great hotel. Everyone there is so sweet, and had great service from everyone especially Andliz, she was amazing, and helpful in every way possible. Answering questions I’ve had and even giving me ideas on what do while here
This hotel is amazing - from the gorgeous beachfront rooms, beautiful beach and pools, five- star Spa to the spectacular service. Everyone made sure that we had whatever we wanted and they were also very friendly (Paola & Manuel were the best) The restaurants on the property were amazing (especially 1919). This property is worth every single penny. One of the best vacations we have ever taken, and we will definitely be back.
Overall we really enjoyed our time here. We arrived a bit past check in time and our room wasn't ready yet - this was pretty frustrating and they ended up upgrading us to a better room after we waited for 25 minutes but that didn't really make up for the fact that we had just made it to Puerto Rico and were forced to sit around inside a hotel lobby waiting. We didn't care about the upgraded room, I think it was an ocean view king suite instead of an ocean view king room but the extra space didn't really matter to us. The pools were fantastic, there are 5 pools around the property including multiple adult only pools and we tried most of them and enjoyed it. Great drinks around the pool too. We tried the Tacos and Tequilas restaurant and it was pretty good. Our server, Gabriel, was really attentive and they have a special secret spicy sauce that was really great if you're into spicy food. It was extra (the hotel in general is very inflated price-wise compared to the non-hotel places in the area and San Juan). The views from our room were great, the ocean is beautiful and it's lovely to hear the waves. The location is super convenient for getting pretty much anywhere - most tours pick up from the Condado beach area and it was incredibly easy to get an Uber to anywhere, only ever having to wait at most 5 minutes. We were able to get to Viejo San Juan, El Yunque, Icacos island and La Placita de Santurce (which was an incredibly spot for dancing at night) super easily. Great time overall, some flaws that were disappointing but would definitely stay here again in the future. If you're at all worried about budget for a trip this is not a good spot, but if you just want to relax and not worry about anything then this is a good option in a great location.…
Amazing experience, friendly staff, beautiful property! Highly recommend this place. Ask for Paula at the beach! The suits offer a butler and he took very good care of us on our trip. Ubers are easy to get and travel to restaurants in old San Juan.
I was schedule to attend on a group trip, I contracted COVID and could not travel. I contacted the hotel and they said they would refund me. I have not heard anything and it is not a month. Should I just have come and infected everybody? The hotel has not responded to anything. This is absurd.
We arrived 1 hour past check in time to find out our room won’t be ready for an indefinite amount of time, after traveling for over 12 hours to get here. We also called ahead about car service from the airport and was told the hotel had scheduled for us, only to find out that it wasn’t done. I understand that things happen, but this does not live up to the 5-star rating.
My husband and I went to Puerto Rico for our anniversary and had a wonderful week at this hotel. We had a spacious corner suite with fantastic ocean views. Our butler sent Champagne twice with handwritten notes and took care of anything we needed. The staff was attentive and made our stay feel special. There are several options for dining and drinking at the hotel that were all great, though 1919 was extremely expensive for what it was, and in my opinion not as good as STK. There are three separate pool areas and lots of places to lay out so you don't feel crowded next to other guests and staff come around frequently to take drink and food orders poolside. The beach is very tiny and rocky and the rip currents were strong so I didn't spend anytime at all in the ocean. However, there is a public beach right next door you can stroll over to that is not rocky.…
Stayed here with my family of four in July for 4 nights. We didn’t spend much time at the hotel because we had a lot to do/see, but it was beautiful. We had a basic room w/ 2 queen beds, but most importantly, it was clean. If you’re looking to stay at a resort the whole time and never leave, this hotel may not have enough for you (especially for kids). But if you want a nice, clean place to rest after long days on the beach, excursions, and traveling the island, it’s perfect. Warning: The beach adjacent to the hotel is rough—VERY rough. Not safe for kids, or adults for that matter (very strong currents/rip tides). The good news is there’s a beautiful, calm beach by the bridge you can walk to (Playita del Condado). On the other side of the bridge is the Condado lagoon where you can rent kayaks, water bikes, etc. (some of these activities leave from the park near the lagoon, accessible from Calle Vieques; I believe others, such as LED night kayaking, can be done from Ashford Ave). Some parts of Ashford Ave still need work (there are some dangerous spots on the sidewalk where you can bust your ankle and a few abandoned buildings), but overall, it’s a great location. A good local breakfast spot (Pinky’s) is a short walk up Ashford Ave (they have great smoothies, sandwiches, pancakes, and cafe con leche, but there is a Starbucks nearby as well), and so many great spots for lunch and dinner are within walking distance (Havana Restaurant, La Casa del Patron, etc.). We ordered food from the pool bar one night, which was very good, and Lyana the bartender was especially delightful. She’ll make you a great mojito or pina colada—and be sure to get an extra shot of Barrilito rum in it!!…
My stay at the Vanderbilt was absolutely amazing. The staff were kind and humble, the place is well maintained, and I enjoyed the amenities as well which were alot. The service was impeccable. Take some time and visit the pool deck with the heated infinity pool and make sure to look for Manuel for some great service. I highly recommend the Vanderbilt and visiting Puerto Rico.
