We booked this guesthouse for three days (two days before and one day following a cruise. We stayed in three different rooms and all were very clean. No ants or roaches to be found. The upstairs 2-bedroom apt was the best. Lots of room even a bar area to drink and play games. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. The beach was close and lots of restaurants, including McDonalds, were just around the corner. Even a Walgeeens store was just a few minutes walk away. I would stay here over and over again. It was a great place to stay!

We booked this guesthouse for two days (one day before and one day following a cruise). Our room was an upstairs 2-bedroom apartment (Bedroom 1- one bed, Bedroom 2- two beds, Sitting area- pull out couch, Kitchenette (with microwave and refrigerator) and Bathroom. No frills, but the apartment was clean! Air Conditioners worked WELL! My chief complaint was the shower (or lack there of). The water was three trickles with no way to adjust temperature (either hot or cold, nothing in between). The staff were wonderful fellows (Eric and Josh), extremely helpful! I was not impressed with the neighborhood (very depressed area), definitely not a resort area, but the guesthouse was in a locked area so we did feel safe. If you are looking for a clean, budget-friendly stay . . . definitely consider.

The bedroom was very clean. We were able to check in early since our cruise docked early. Only reason that I gave them one less star is because the bathroom tile was nasty. I just wore flip flops to take a shower, but it would have been nice to have a clean shower to begin with. Overall, we had a wonderful time and I would 100% recommend this place!! Also, they have BIG TV’s in the room with good tv shows on them.

We flew into San Juan for a cruise. We decided to fly in a day early and stay a couple extra days afterward. It was our first time visiting San Juan, and we weren’t really sure where to stay. We found Mont Caribe online, and found the pricing to be a good value, but some of the negative reviews online admittedly made us a little skeptical. We decided to give Mont Caribe a chance anyway, and we are so glad that we did. We found the accommodations to be comfortable, clean, and conveniently located. The local Uber’s were readily available within minutes of the location. It was so nice having the beach only a couple blocks away. The local dining at the surrounding restaraunts was a highlight for us - Kasalta bakery, Acapulco, and La Cueva Del Mar were particularly good! The staff were friendly and kind. Mario in particular went above and beyond to accommodate us, and we cannot emphasize our appreciation enough. Overall, it was always our intention to spend the majority of our time off-site and exploring the wonderful things that San Juan has to offer. We wanted accommodations that were affordable enough to not break the bank, but comfortable enough that we wouldn’t be hesitant to come back after a long day of exploring San Juan, and Mont Caribe delivered that experience. We would definitely visit again.

This is a great place to stay!. In my case I went on a 2-night Business Trip and basically I needed a room to sleep and shower so this location was just perfect!. Location is priceless with many Restaurants options and close-by shopping areas. Free Parking, which is hard to find on this particular area. Mario and his team make a great job making sure that my stay was as expected. Although the place doesn't have Pool or other amenities, as expected on other lodging options, this is a great value for your money!
