Ok for just 1 night transit. Breakfast was excellent. But the room looks old and the standard one is very small. The toilet in the bathroom is very awkward because the lid can't open upright as it's bumped with a herd behind. Man needs to hold the lid while urinating. Surprisingly the hotel was very crowded when we were there.
* pretty clean indeed despite it has not been remodeled for a while * has housekeeping service; only the first day * good manners and good English at the front desk * no free breakfast * not many things around; public transportation inconvenient--if you wanna stay, please rent a car or go with your travel agency
Hotel is not in good shape. One elevator which takes forever. I couldn’t get cold water….never experienced that. Valet is required but not helpful with bags or anything, and phone in room didn’t work to call them to request car. Valet was relatively quick. Lobby looks updated but nothing else is. Would never stay there again.
The place is old and in need of total makeover. The furniture is chipped and worn bathtub was cracked and bathroom door was broke They do not have enough of toiletries. No bellman to help with luggage it is self service. The pool need to be cleaned. The only saving grace it has a Resteraunt called Comador which is very good. Our first room was a one bedroom king. It was so small and cramped The real take on this place is it’s a businessman’s hotel. Short stays and high turnover. I guess you can say the brochure was very deceiving
We just checked in for one night as we’re leaving on a cruise tomorrow. We arrived about 1:45 and were checked in early by Moses. After a 5:30am flight, it was so welcome to be able to access our room immediately. In addition, Moses couldn’t have been more friendly or informative in telling us about the area around the hotel and about San Juan in general. The hotel is situated in a very nice area with lots of restaurants and is less than 10 minutes from the cruise terminal. Thanks, Moses, for starting off our vacation on a perfect note!
Great location to stay with walkable access to the beaches, paddle boarding, kayaks (20-25 min, safe walk) while with a neighborhood feel with local (quick and easy) restaurants. La Placita walkable (20 min) if looking to experience Puerto Rican nightlife. Fast 10 min uber ride to Ole San Juan. Staff accommodating and friendly, rooms spacious. Pool functional. Don’t expect consistent hours from the on-site restaurants. Great to have access to coin operated washer/ dryer.
As a Titanium Marriott customer, I stay (and have stayed at) many Marriott branded properties in many places. This one had comfortable beds and a good location - grocery store down the block. The staff were friendly and sometimes helpful sometimes less helpful to someone who knows only a few words in Spanish. Bathroom seriously needs updating. Had a problem with the door lock that took about 24 hours to fix. No room service which seemingly was because of Covid but there was was no explanation and when the door was fixed at least the bathroom was cleaned and floor vacuumed. Likely would choose an Airbnb over it next time we are in PR.
The staff was excellent. It's an older hotel, bed was comfortable, elevator is fast. The on premise restaurants are very good and serve breakfast. Puerto Rico is an old place, so this hotel is par for the course. Knowing who gives the rating is key, I'm particular for travel otherwise I would give it a 5 star. Puerto Rico is eh.. been there done that no need to go back.
I have stayed at this hotel numerous times. It is a small hotel but with mostly the things you need. There are restaurants on site. It is also within walking distance of other restaurants and great cafes. There is a small pool but it was perfect for me since it doesn't get loud and rowdy. The staff are very friendly and will accommodate your every needs.
I have never stayed in a Courtyard Miramar hotel but the pictures online shows beautiful rooms and the space looks huge. I was recommended by Expedia that this was one of the best hotel in this particular area. How truly wrong they are and the false depiction of this hotel. I was paying $220 per night which is not a cheap price and as soon as I walked in I was shocked to the bone. The room is so small and dingy that I wanted to immediately walk out. The bathroom, in my opinion, and for the price they charge, should be luxurious with plenty of counter space. There was non and it looks like I had walked in to a cheap motel. The bathtub is stained, the toilet seat wouldn't stay opened because the back of the toilet is under the counter and this would block the top from staying opened. It would also stay opened because it was cheap and plastic. The TV was antiquated and at first didn't have any channels. When I needed towels or anything else I had to beg the staff at the front desk for them to bring me anything. There is no complimentary breakfast for anything for free. They charged $20 day for valet parking. The air conditioner was regulated and it would run for five minutes and wouldn't turn on for another hour. I was hot and miserable! The only lamp in the room was always tilting to the side. I don't know who is supposed to check on the staff and how they're running things but someone from corporate should do a surprise visit. I want my $1200 back that I paid for 4 days!!…
