Beautiful property and unbeatable location. Friendly, prompt service from day staff (had a few hiccups with hotel night staff, but quickly remedied by the day crew). Rooms looked and felt very clean/safe. Solid bar.
Isabel was very nice and accommodating. But aside from that I was dissatisfied. My room was dirty. The hot tub in the room does NOT work properly. The hotel has wall AC units that will freeze you all night, and the property is old and corroded. I asked if I can check out and get refunded even for 1 night and the hotel refused to refund my money. Beware of these things prior to checking in. You will freeze, have a dirty jacuzzi in your room that does not work, and the staff lady across the street at roof top restaurant was extremely unpleasant. They only offer 7 items on the lunch menu.
James has done a favor to ช่างชุ่ย By opening a very homely/family Italian restaurant.. Very good atmosphere Very good home cooked food Best around thonburi side Pizzas are ways beyond my expectations..simple words tooooo good
I spent three nights at the Olive Hotel and enjoyed my time there. The hotel staff did their best to provide good service during a pandemic and were polite and friendly. For the price, a considerable discount from their regular rates, I felt like it was a good value. I chose the property because I wanted to stay someplace small with less risk of sharing spaces with other guests to reduce the risk of COVID-19. I think I saw two other guests during the time I was at the 15 room property. This was a great choice for health and safety. The price of a suite with outdoor shower area / tub that was the size of a plunge pool, was the same as the cheapest room with no view at the Vanderbilt Condado Hotel across the street. All things considered, this hotel was a better choice for me. On the downside, the property’s restaurants were not open during the majority of my stay and there was no breakfast. My room also had a limited view of the lagoon with a lot of distractions on the street. The trash was kept below my beautiful terrace and it was emptied most mornings early by a garbage truck. Additionally there was a lot of construction. I also think the hotel could have done a better job telling me about my room and what to expect during my stay. I had a hard time figuring out how to shut the outdoor shower off and didn’t know that the housekeeping team would only come on the third day. On the third day they wanted to know of the bed should be made, having slept on the sheets a few nights I agreed. They just made the bed, not changing my sheets during the stay. I imagine in a non pandemic situation, this hotel would be amazing. …
Staff replies with "shocked about review" and excuses, yet showing responsibility isn't one of it. Stayed here for a honeymoon and it was a great vacation, but service here was awful. Breakfast didn't come as promised, matter of fact didn't come at all, even after asking 3x for it and all we received was "I'm sorry, we will check with the kitchen". Room service also didn't come unless asked...unheard of. Jacuzzi was cold and rooftop pool was dirty and disgusting. Needs major staff change to survive. Good luck!!!
