Everything about this hotel gives elegant subduction for our honeymoon. The staff are exquisite, Sage restaurant is fantastic, and the tub OMG it is amazing and you can fill it all the way up with hot water if you wanted. The rooftop pool with sunset and drinks was a perfect opener. Arya next door didn’t disappoint at O:LV 55. Enjoy and you don’t have to thank me later!!!
I went to Olive for my 20th wedding anniversary. I had very high expectations based on the research I made over the Internet and the price I paid for my stay, but unfortunately it was quite disappointing. Here are the reasons: 1. The floor was dusty. 2. The area of the veranda lacks of privacy even with the curtains because of the wind. 3. There was no tissue in the bathroom (it was immediately delivered to the room upon notice to the front desk) 4. The first night the air conditioning went off every 1/2 hour). again, it was fixed quickly upon notice and worked fine the rest of the stay. By the way, the AC unit was evidently not maintained/cleaned in a while. 5. I found a piece of underwear from a previous guest inside one of the bathrobe’s pockets, don’t know if it was clean… but it was a nasty surprise. 6. The room was not done, Housekeeping came at 4pm when we were getting ready for dinner. Unfortunately, I don’t plan to stay again nor recommend to anyone else.…
We had an exquisite stay at this boutique hotel. The bohemian style was felt in every detail, and the service contributed to our feeling like royalty. The luxury suite is worth every penny. Delicious restaurant in the lobby too. Prime location.
Olive Boutique Hotel was the best hospitality experience I have ever had in all of my years of traveling. The staff was attentive, professional, and brilliant. My husband and I came to San Juan for our honeymoon, and I'm not going to lie, we kind of selected the city after we found this hotel. We saw the pictures online and said, "Well, well, well...doesn't this place look like our style?" Little did we know that we were about to embark on a bit of a journey that would end with my husband having to pull me away from San Juan. Here's what you need to know: You will be sold on the Olive Boutique Hotel when you simply see the pictures. All of them are 100% real, and the hotel really is that beautiful. The building, however, is not the true beauty of this hotel. It all started when we met Vincent on our first day. Talk about an infectious personality, laugh, and an attentive individual in charge of guest services. In fact, I had emailed weeks earlier to ask for recommendations for a rainforest tour, and I realized it was Vincent who I had been emailing back and forth with! He greeted us with some Cojito (bless the souls who invented Cojito), and immediately began walking us through maps like an expert cartographer, giving us recommendations for restaurants, nightlife, etc. We already had ideas of what we were doing for the next week, but Vincent wanted to make sure we had plenty of local recommendations, which was exactly what we were looking for. We would end up seeing Vincent nearly everyday (does he live at the hotel? who knows?), and it took everything within my power not to give him the biggest hug when he was behind the desk. He really is that warm and lovely. Additionally, we've got to talk about Salvador and Damian. Oh honey. These two. The hospitality that funnels from the souls of these two individuals is enough to light you up every day. Not only are they consummate professionals, they genuinely made us feel like royalty when we stayed at the hotel. Isn't that the goal of the hospitality industry? To make guests feel elevated, no matter who they are? These two managed to do just that. Need a towel? They will get you three. Need a smile? They will give you a laugh. About to go out in the rain? Not before they offer you an umbrella. Over the course of the week, we managed to interact with a lot of the staff, and I wish I could list all of them here. I do. -I am looking at you, Ana. -I am thinking of every housekeeper who cleaned our room and left a *personal note every single day after cleaning our room.* -I am thinking about the ongoing joke between the staff where we would put my sunglasses on the mascot, Olivo. -I am thinking about the waitstaff on the rooftop and the incredible Spotify playlist they would play and how much fun they would have. (Oh...remember that rooftop when you inevitably book this hotel...it is perfect to watch the sunset.) -I am thinking about eating at Sage and having an incredible dinner, and feeling so spoiled, knowing it was *right in our hotel.* (Don't mess this up...Mario Pagan runs Sage, and he helps out with World Central Kitchen with Chef Jose Andres...that's some good karma there.) Most of all, I am thinking about the fact that from an outsider's perspective, it really seems like the people who work at this hotel care about one another. They look out for each other. When they are happy, that joy is passed along to the guests, and it makes for an incredibly memorable experience. If I owned a hotel, I would hire this staff immediately. I don't think my husband and I would have had the same honeymoon if it were not for them and the beauty of this hotel. When we came home, I immediately started looking at dates to book another trip back. …
Lovely hotel in the midst of the condado district. The staff were top notch and the location was perfect. Rooftop bar was amazing and being next to the lagoon provided some amazing views. Our room was gorgeous and the patio with outdoor tub was the highlight. A true pleasure.
Very disappointed. We didn’t get hot water at night, we called three times bt they didn’t fix the problem until next morning. However, the hot water is hard to adjust either hot or cold. Bath tub is dirty with bug inside . Room is small. Not worthy for $500 one night .
The place it’s just a dream….very cozy and elegant. Love the Mediterranean style inspiration. The outside shower it’s a must!!! It had water heater!!! The food and rooftop cocktails are delicious ❤️❤️❤️
From the moment we stepped inside to the moment we left this hotel and staff was absolutely incredible. The lobby smells so good, the rooms are are so beautiful and cozy and have a European flair, and you have access to both the boutique and OLV hotels when staying at either, and they’re right next to each other which is super convenient. You absolutely cannot miss dinner at RAYA or cocktails at both the boutique rooftop and ARYA. Also, this hotel is a 5 minute walk to a cute breakfast spot, the beach, and 10 minute Ubers to pretty much everywhere else you want to go in San Juan or santurce.
There is nothing like Olive Boutique Hotel anywhere. It feels as if I just walked into the Italian countryside in the most charming and luxurious way! It is warm and inviting and so elegant at the same time. Great place for a romantic trip or a girls trip! Highly recommend!!!
This hotel exceeded my expectations! The staff was friendly and attentive . The rooms were meticulous and luxurious. The rooftop restaurant/bar was exceptional. We ate there for several meals and the food was always fresh and delicious. I highly recommend the O:live brand hotel!
