Have not stayed here since March 2018 so was pleasantly surprised to have the hotel and staff as we remembered. Everyone very helpful and friendly and the hotel and rooms as were prior to the hurricane. We have enjoyed the Condado area for many years and will be returning soon we hope. Restaurants, drugstores, even a Walmart are around the corner and just 2 blocks from the beach. Thanks for a lovely stay.
Our stay at Coral Princess was perfect. We stayed in a PH suite and it was so comfortable. We loved the terrace. Every one was so friendly and accommodating. The coffee was wonderful and location is perfect. It is more laid back than the larger, fancier hotels, but was just what we wanted. We visited the others, but happily went back to our little oasis.
This hotel is very well located in the Condado area. It is clean with lots of common space area. Our room was a bit small for executive queen, but it was ok for 3 nights.. Great patio on top and nice little pool. There is a continental breakfast available and fruits throughout the day. If you want the local feel and not a big chain, it is a great one to go to in the Condado area. We will go back again when visiting San Juan
This is a fine hotel BUT it is not a boutique hotel. A lot of reviewers need to google "boutique" hotel. This is like a clean hostel with private rooms in Europe. I only say this because I made my mother change our hotel reservations from the Hilton to Coral Princess based on the reviews that this would be cute and clean. My mother is a boutique hotel lady; she is not a hostel lady. It made for an interesting weekend. Now for specifics: The location is great, and the price is low for the area. The front desk workers are fantastic and always on site. We never had a problem getting a taxi because they would call one for us at any time. The rooms are super clean - we never saw any bugs. And most importantly, it was great to support a local PR hotel and not a big chain. The downside is mostly that this hotel is rundown. A lot of the floor and bathroom tiles were chipped and rusted. The mattresses were not good. The walls and doors looked like someone was practicing karate kicks on them. The air conditioner sounded like a jet engine, but hey, it worked, which I realize can be a luxury! There aren't enough hair dryers for all the rooms, so if you are there on a busy weekend, you might not have one. The walls and doors are a bit thin, so if people are being noisy in the tile hallway, you will definitely hear it. And the power was out one entire morning, but I feel like this was due to a nearby lightning strike and was not the hotel's fault. In summary, this is an OK hotel if you know what you are getting into. I think the pictures and some of the reviews make it sound fancier than it is. It is not fancy. But it is clean and in a great location, and you are supporting local business.…
