Warning...DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL....We checked in an it was the farthest thing from luxury. The TV remotes did not work, the cold water on the sink did not work and the floor was dirty. The first night we stayed here it was so loud with drunk people who were running up and down the halls and they also pulled the fire alarm two times. Needless to stay we felt like it was a waste of money the left a terrible taste in our months.

Ciqala takes false advertisement to a new level! They entirely falsified advertised pictures of the entire hotel from the inside out. Upon arrival, we noticed the hotel is located in a run-down neighborhood however we decided to give this place the benefit of the doubt. When entering the lobby, we were welcomed by Ms. Flores and Wendy. They informed us that our room was not ready and we are welcomed to tour the hotel. We decided to check out the rooftop pool and quickly noticed that we were misled. The pool is no bigger than 4x5 and it is extremely filthy. We decided to ask Ms. Flores to see our Suite before checking in and this is where it went downhill. Ms. Flores demeanor changed toward us and kept walking away when asked a question. Ms.Flores was extremely impolite, unprofessional and distasteful. When asked to see the room Ms.Flores very distastefully said “it seems like you have never been to a hotel or Airbnb before that you are asking to see a room. “ We decided to question her unprofessionalism and things spiraled out of control. Ms.Flores asked one of the girls in our trip “have you seen yourself in the mirror, I can bring you a mirror you look disgusting.” Ms. Flores also said “You guys are trashy”. When Ms. Flores realized she was being recorded, her attitude and tone of voice completely changed for a couple minutes. After her award-winning fake act, she pointed to the camera and said “I am suing, delete the video, delete the video” and proceeded to call what we believe was 911. We asked Ms.Flores for the supervisor/manager/owner and she provided a false name and number. We have not been able to reach anyone after our incident on 2/6/22. We have footage of this incident if management ever decides to contact us.

My husband and I booked this hotel through Orbitz for our first trip to PR. The pictures online were beautifully portrayed, however, that was not the case when we arrived. When we pulled up, there was a bus stop about 10 ft away with about 10 men hanging out. One of them, I am assuming it was the valet guy, came over to our car (without a mask), and told us we can park in the parking garage. The parking garage that was wide open for anyone to enter and the spaces were clearly made for clown cars. The experience got worse from there... the lobby is like the size of a closet. When we asked to see our rooms BEFORE checking in, their demeanor towards us changed. They showed us the room, which was NOT what we expected. The hallway had this extremely potent odor. The elevator was not clean, with finger prints all over the mirrors. The room was much smaller than the "wide angle" lens portrayed it to be online. The bed was old and worn. We were not happy. When we returned to the lobby and asked that our reservations be cancelled and our money be refunded, the lady at the front desk was not friendly. She started to talk extremely fast to the point that we had to ask her to repeat herself because we couldn't understand. She basically told us that she couldn't refund our money and we would have to take it up with the 3rd party we booked through. Well after about 2 hours on the phone with both the 3rd party and the hotel, we were told we were not able to be refunded and to enjoy our $25 dollar credit. WE PAID $1,500! We were basically robbed without a gun! DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!

There is nothing "luxury" about this place! Pictures on the internet are definitely marketing hype; the rooms are decent sized (being a converted apt/condo building) but poorly accommodated. The rooftop restaurant is basically an outside bar with a decent view and is highly trafficked by outside guests (who are probably disgruntled by the elevator wait to get to the top of the hotel- 4-5 passengers at a time!). With only one of two elevators working, phone in my room didn't work, ice machine (for the entire hotel?) breaking down during my stay.... these are NOT things that a LUXURY boutique hotel offers its patrons!! The staff was actually pretty decent, considering that they have to "make up" in customer service for the amenities the hotel lacks. Unless you are on a budget or there is nothing else available in the area/your price range, I would not recommend staying here.

The expectation when booking a luxury suite is that you will check into luxury accommodations. Unfortunately, this was not our experience. I will start with some of the pleasantries, upon arrival, my room was not ready, front desk staff was very accommodating, took my luggage and phone number and assured me she would call when the room was ready. I was extended an invitation to hang out at the roof top bar for 5 or so hours until my room was ready. It was stunning, I took in the views slowly and knew I would return for more. This is also where I was introduced to the tiny, kiddie like pool that sits in the center of the roof top restaurant (didn’t seem so small in the photos). Room is finally ready! After walking around the neighborhood for 3 hours to kill time and see what was around us, I just wanted to retreat to a Presidential Suite that resembled the pictures that guided the decision to lodge here. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Housekeeping skimmed at every turn and the full kitchen was stocked with cookware and dishes that the Dollar Store probably no longer carries. The floor was not mopped, the bedding had make up stains from previous guests, the refrigerator was filthy, and the AC in the front room was not functional for a time. Staff was attentive to these complaints, the floor was immediately mopped, linen changed, and someone came up to assess and address the cookware and dish issue, however, these are nuances no traveler should have to deal with when escaping to a Luxury Caribbean paradise. We received conflicting information regarding beach accommodations. The Umbrella and Beach Loungers were provided upon arrival, should you venture to the beach on your own though, be sure to take your own towel! Lastly, only one elevator was functional and apparently that has been the case for some time. The restroom is on the roof so, careful. It was bittersweet as I got in some unplanned cardio, but I felt like time from my vacation was stolen from me waiting to get up to my floor with groceries and other items that would be impossible to get up 3 flights of stairs. Ultimately, I would return, however, I would work with staff to ensure expectations are met prior to and upon arrival. The hotel has a ton of personality and potential!

I almost gave this place 2 stars because our room was awesome...DIRTY tho. However, the issues kept on coming: -when we arrived there was a woman screaming at the front desk about charges on her card and stuff stolen from her room and the hotel was providing no help. After hearing this, we declined house keeping with the do not disturb door tag. We also made sure not to use the shampoo, soap, drinks/food in the fridge to avoid charges. -it’s unfortunate we didn’t feel comfortable with housekeeping coming in because our room was DIRTY. Sand on the couch, dead bugs on the window sill, black long hair in the shower, bathroom floor and on the mattress (under the sheets thankfully), and a large sticky spill on the counter. My feet were black from walking around barefoot and had thick black hair stuck to them. See pictures. I’m sure there was other dirty things too but I had to stop myself from looking for my own peace of mind. -after hearing that girl had stuff stolen & seeing these reviews I didn’t feel comfortable leaving my electronics, money or prescription meds in the room. There was a safe but it didn’t appear to be the kind you can change the code for and there were no instructions. The battery compartment was also taped shut and the batteries looked like they were falling out so I didn’t want to risk my valuables getting stuck in there. -the pool is a JOKE. It’s tiny. And I don’t even care that it’s that small because I more wanted to lay out but you can’t, because it’s in the middle of the restaurant...so awkward. -fix the 2nd elevator! We had to wait 15 minutes at least for the elevator almost every time. -I thought the breakfast might be one redeeming quality. We followed their janky protocol...filled out the form, left it on the floor by the door and it was gone in the morning as expected. 10 minutes after our time range still no breakfast. We called and the lady that answered at the front desk said they got our order and it’ll be ready soon. 30 more minutes go by and we go downstairs and ask, THEY NEVER GOT OUR ORDER. We gave up and left. -no reservations at the restaurant, we heard the host tell another group they didn’t have a reservation and there was nothing they could do. She told the host her friends and her just spent money on an Uber getting there but the host had no solution. There were plenty of tables available (not 100% sure on the COVID make shift rules) -there’s no security for this place. Anyone one can walk into the garage, lobby, or the elevator and the hotels not in the best neighborhood. -there was literally only 1 cup, 1 plate, and 1 bowl in the cupboards. Long story short...we are a group of girls in our 20s so we’re pretty flexible and forgiving with this stuff so we toughed it out. We didn’t intend to spend much time in the room anyways. But I’m glad we were only here for 2 nights. I would NOT recommend staying here and if you do, ask housekeeping to come up right when you get there and before you unpack. There weren’t many places available when we booked so I guess it makes sense why this place was left. This place has potential but they need to get their sh*t together.

Terrible hotel. Nothing Luxury about it. First of all the pictures are deceiving. Once we pulled up in the cab I was like WTF. Front is dirty. I had to lift my own bags up the stairs to the front desk. Only one elevator was working. As soon as we got to our floor all you smelled was weed. The room was dingy and dirty. Room service does not clean very well. Sinks and outlets were all dirty. They are also very tight with their towels. 4 people two towels. They make the bed with new sheets and leave the cardboard the sheets came in on the floor. They give you fresh towels (limited) but leave the garbage. They don't have a picture of that room on this site. There is no restaurant for breakfast. In room service only due to covid. Which is understandable. The pool is the size of a kiddo pool. Nothing like the picture. The only good thing was the restaurant. The food and the view were really good. I recommend the restaurant but not the hotel.

First of all you would think you were in the “hood”. Secondly as soon as i checked in we were told the elevator didnt work. We get to the room the air in the living room and one of the bedrooms didnt work, none of the tvs worked. The floor was dirty, water pressure in the shower sucked. The front of the hotel is like a hangout area, people could easily walk in the hotel without being a guest. The air conditioners leaked down the walls wetting the floors. There were cigarettes and trash in the tiny rooftop pool. I dont know how this place has ever received any ratings above a 1! So this was a absolutely the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in The rooftop pool was same size as jacuzzi Our room didn’t have enough hot water to fill up Jacuzzi Then our room was switched to a lower class room on the sly then the shower valve comes off in my hand the water is stuck in ON position flooding the room maintenance comes up stairs and says nothing we can do but switch rooms So now in the 3rd room walk in and handle falls off as well walk out side in morning and Water is just pouring out the front of the building...... Pics say it all iPhone pics are 2 big sad enough
