It is a quiet hacienda in a sea of towering sky rise hotels. It has a charm and character of its own as a boutique hotel. A hop, skip and a jump to the beach and El Cueva Del Mar, best fish tacos ever! Our room was clean when we arrived. Only issue is hotel runs two locations so maids working both locations may clean the rooms every other day.
Forget that maybe a wall needs A touch up here or there or that the shower takes a moment to get hot. This place is perfect, picturesque, roomy, has nice amenities and visually stunning. I love all the outdoor nooks and crannies filled with tropical plants, great location, and friendly staff. Only thing that would make it better is a hot tub . It’s a great stay for the price, would recommend for a romantic getaway on a budget.
There was a miscommunication in our booking at the Acacia and because of this we stayed at the Wind Chimes, their sister hotel, overnight. Isaac who checked us in resolved the problem with our booking and we stayed from 2:00 AM and vacated our room by 11:00 AM. We were fortunate our room was on the main floor (there are no elevators) and it was quiet and clean. There was also coffee available in the lobby in the morning and the staff there were pleasant and friendly. I would choose the Wind Chimes over the Acacia. We did not get to look around the property but heard there was a swimming pool which is a plus.
While checking for availability through Google Flights for a specific nigh for this hotel, it showed availability through Booking.com and re-route me to their website but changed the date to another date automatically. Needless to say one has to be super cautious and checking and re-checking all the information, I realized that automatic change right after I received the booking confirmation from Booking.com. Attempted to make a change to the reservation immediately through Booking.com's website which instructed me to contact the hotel to make the change. Immediately tried to call the hotel several times until finally someone answered telling me to call back in a few minutes as the line was forwarded to their desk by mistake. Called back several times and finally got someone (Isaac) on the line. I was told that and spoke with Isaac who told me I had to call Booking.com to get authorization to make a change to the reservation due to billing issues, and then they could help me. Called Booking.com and she contacted Wind Chimes hotel (Puerto Rico Boutique Hotels) but she was told they can't honor a change or cancellation refund and I'll have to forfeit the entire amount. So, beware of the automatic and unwanted change of dates from Booking.com, be aware of the lack of availability/response from this hotel front desk, be aware of the lack of customer service from both Booking.com and this hotel. Lesson learned.…
Is a beautiful tiny "guest house" with a pool and next to the beach. Don't even bother to bring your car there's no parking available so you will leave your car "around". The staff is cordial, the rooms are clean, the location is everything!
