Hotel's Favorite
Let's be honest. This hotel is perfectly situated at the end of Condado with two pools (salt water/swim up bar/slide), a beach (El Condadito) and walkable to most of what Condado has to offer. The hotel is modernly appointed and the rooms offer expansive views of the Caribbean sea or lagoon. There are some signs of wear (e.g. Hurricane aftermath) on the doors but it was not enough to ruin my stay. The elevators can take a little long but again you are on island time so relax and give yourself a little more time to get where you are going.

Maintenance has just given up routon work and just wait for things to break before fixing. We had 3 rooms and 2 of them had a lock battery failure that required staff to come out and replace for the key to work. And one of the rooms failed right on check in. The in house restaurant was closed all day on Tuesday. No in-room good service. Pool concierge closed at 6 pm so use of the pool after 6 pm means you bring your own towels from your room. In comparison to the caribe Hilton next doors where we stayed at in 2022. The Condado plaza Hilton is a sad reflection what must have been a great place to stay at one point in time. Just wait for the Hilton garden inn to open up across the street.

It was an excellent experience. The room and the service were excellent! Very peaceful and quiet ambiance. Extremely cooperative staff. The pool was great and the beach just steps away. A wonderful experience!

The lobby is very beautiful which is not a true representation of the hotel. Our rooms looked nothing like the photos which I didn’t expect but they were a.big disappointment. No phone in the room. We were charged a resort fee for each day and could never access the WiFi. Floor to our room looked like something ran down the wall to the floor and they never cleaned it. Door latch didn’t properly close , carpet filthy, some of the outlets didn’t work. I went to unplug my phone charger from the outlet in the bathroom and almost pulled the entire outlet out of the wall. Coffee machine ( which we dated not use for fear of getting sick because it was dirty as well ) refrigerator and ice bucket were all located in the bathroom…never seen such. Beach was dirty and the guest get lounge chairs and umbrellas, but the attendants seem to have a problem giving you an umbrella if you get there after 3pm. The wait staff at the pool will ignore you ( especially if your skin color is brown or darker ) we witnessed this the entire time we were here. Unacceptable. I’m a Hilton member and I’ve traveled all over the world staying at Hilton properties on some of my trips and I’ve never had such a bad experience until now. I should have stayed at the Ritz. This is definitely a disappointment. Oh and I can’t forget the gigantic cockroach that I killed in the room. 🤬😡

The staff at the Condado Hilton are first-rate. When we checked in they accommodated us with an early check-in. At first we were disappointed with the location of our room. However they promised they would try to upgrade us if possible. As Diamond members we were hoping they would make it happen. When we checked in out new room we were astounded by the view. We have traveled to Hawaii, Jamaica and many other destinations and nothing has compared with the view at Condado. The hotel has two large pools including a salt-water pool. The secluded beach area offers lots of water sports. The Condado area itself has lots of good affordable restaurants. Most of all the staff at this hotel is outstanding - friendly and committed to excellent service.

I was there in April on business and an unfortunate death of a parent. First night was fine. Second night, came back from dinner to an overwhelming odor of marijuana. Called the front desk and was offered a room on another floor. Within an hour of being on the new floor, the next door occupants began fighting and threw their luggage out the room hitting the hallway walls. This went on for hours. We woke up to the stench of marijuana again. I called the front desk and they offered us a room on a high floor. We left for the day and came back to the same issue again. At this point, it was seeping thru the bathroom wall as I was taking a shower. We couldn't open the patio door because the people next door were smoking pot on the patio as well. I went downstairs and checked out with no where to go. The front desk person was so "helpful" and wrote down a list of Hilton Hotels in the area instead of addressing the situation or apologizing for the inconvenience. Not to mention, finding a room during Easter week is impossible and extremely expensive. Oh- and they did me a "favor" and didn't charge us the early departure fee. Do yourselves a "favor" and don't stay here - ever. Besides their dismissive behavior at the front desk, it was even more amusing to see them talk in Spanish about me and my situation not realizing that I myself am a native Puerto Rican who is fluent in Spanish. I've stayed here several times since the early 1990's. The rooms are run down (I have pictures of the same red walls from 2007), bathroom fixtures are rusty, the mini fridge was moldy, and obviously something is wrong if the ventilation is pumping the smell of pot throughout multiple rooms and floors. That's concerning in itself. What if there was a fire? Would we all die of smoke inhalation while sleeping? The beach is disgusting. The aquarium smells like moldy water as you walk in. I hand delivered a $20 tip to a housekeeping lady to leave extra towels in my room and she didn't. The only enjoyment we had was on the first day, upon arrival by the pool where the waitstaff was great and I cannot forget to command the awesome valet guys. All of them were courteous and helpful in every way possible. They even gave us change for the laundry machines when I was denied change at the gift shop and the front desk. After three weeks of calling the Hilton Honors customer service number, the hotel management has refused to refund even half of my nightly rate. What's worse it that NO ONE from the Hotel has called me to discuss. They only correspond thru the corporate office and keep emphasizing that "I chose to leave" and they "OFFERED" me new rooms and they did me a "FAVOR" of not charging me an early departure fee. If any of you want to spend this kind of money on a room in a Hilton Brand Hotel, change rooms 3 times on a 4 night stay, and smell marijuana every night - this is your place! Never again!

@thecondadoplaza Absolutely most horrible hilton I have ever stayed. I am highly disappointed 😞. First impression when I was walked in the lobby was mediocre. Has a light musty smell. Don't let the anesthetics fool you! We checked in, get to our room and a giant cockroach 🪳 was there waiting to welcome us. After chasing him around for about 20 mins we were exhausted 😩. We attempted to lay in the bed however a smell of wet dog 🐕 and human under arm odor consumed us! The bed could not have possibly been changed prior to our check in. This was the last straw. We went downstairs to inform the front desk of the issues we experienced. They were kind and offered to switch our room. I preferred to go stay at another hotel however my husband convinced me to give it another chance. We saw a different room and agreed it was a bit cleaner than the previous. At this point we're extremely tired and want to sleep. The room is still a bit musty but we settled. We finally get some sleep however we were awakened by a loud train horn that blared through the balcony to our ears! At this point I am disgusted and disappointed in this place and want out! I want a full refund and get as far away from here as possible!

Management was quite receptive, however it is impossible to give a good review. The first room we were given had two dead roaches and a dated, dirty ripped couch. We had reserved two rooms and they were not even close together. Management did change our rooms and gave us two adjoining rooms on another floor. The one room had mold growing in the ceiling and a failing air conditioner. The housekeeping was inconsistent, the restaurant was terrible, the building in desperate need of repair and updating. Would not recommend and will it stay there again.
