I too was fooled by the photos that do not represent the hotel at all. .i was put in an ILLEGAL Room on the first floor that has been constructed in the lobby next to the elevator, with NO WINDOW and thus no second exit as required by law. nite.}

The location of this hotel was the reason we booked here. It was great being so close to the beach. Raphael at the front desk was very helpful when we arrived and answered all our questions. Beyond this, this hotel was disappointing. The rooms and bedding were dirty or stained and the bed sagged badly in the middle. Would not return to this hotel

This hotel is rated 2 to 2.5 stars depending on the site. The rate is half what other properties in the beach are charging. You are still warmly greeted and the rooms are amazingly clean. If you can realize you are in an older hotel that's at least 20 years from the last renovation then you will certainly be satisfied. They do need to include breakfast on every reservation to avoid confusion. That's my only complaint.

The photos DO NOT represent what this dump looks like. The room they tried to have me stay in was tiny, dark, dingy and old. The restroom was 3' x 3' and had a shower stall that belonged in a prison cell. The property is cramped and looks like a cheap apartment complex; there is no view since it is sandwiched between two taller buildings. They would not cancel my reservation when I told them that their accommodations were not as described in their ads and they hung up on the booking service when they tried to call on my behalf. I put in a formal request for refund, since I refused to stay at this piece of crap, and they flatly denied it.

I had booked 10 rooms at this hotel for a large team through Booking.com. One month before our trip, we found a better deal else where so I cancelled my reservations. I was assured that there would be no cancellation fee for cancelling early. Later that month, my credit card gets charged a cancellation fee for each room. I tried calling and getting this issue resolved but it has been really hard to reach anyone at this hotel. When I did speak to Diane the hotel manager she told me she had to look into this issue and that she would call me back. I have yet to hear back from Diane. If this is how they treat a simple cancellation, I can't imagine how they would handle a greater issue. I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND ANYONE BOOKING WITH SANDY BEACH.
