This charming and rustic little jewel nestled in the vibrant Condado neighborhood was a great find. Within easy walking distance to many restaurants and the beach, we truly enjoyed our time here. We loved spending time on the rooftop. The grocery store is just a block away, too. The rooms are small, but our family of four managed just fine. The premises were clean and quiet, and we felt safe the entire time.
Had a very poor experience at this unclean and unsanitary inn - was only able to handle it for one night. The price may be good, but I highly advise you to invest a little more money and stay at a more modern and clean hotel. The online pictures of this hotel are not accurate. The floors were dirty, long hairs everywhere, you can feel every spring in the mattress, the sheets were stained and felt like paper, I’m guessing the place hasn’t been updated in decades, and the swarm of ants was the last straw. I’m embarrassed to even admit I stayed here, but I think it’s important to warn travelers. When I alerted the manager of the ant infestation he agreed to give me a refund, but sent housekeeping to my room who sprayed ant spray and cleaned it up. Then the manager came into my room and said that because he didn’t see ants, he changed his mind and refused to refund my money. This place is not representative of the kind and courteous Puerto Rican community - buyer beware.…
Let me start by saying I have been in a ton of hotels across this great planet of ours and have never been in a dirtier hotel. My comforter was covered in stains, I had long hair strands on the sheet underneath the cover which tells me the sheets were never changed, disgusting sink and toilet that obviously had not been before assigning me the room. I arrived late in the evening and the office closed shortly after my arrival so did not have anyone to complain to. The staff is friendly and I do not have any complaints there however if you are looking for a comfortable stay in Puerto Rico, DO NOT stay here.
To start, the stuff was very polite, they even called me the day of my reservation to double check whether I was going. Check-in and check-out were fast. Room's sheets smelled like if it's been in the closet for months, there was long hair on the bathroom's floor, clearly it wasn't clean, there was no shampoo either, luckily for me I got to sleep there one night, but on the other hand there was an amazing supermarket the next block and everybody is friendly. The beach (Ocean Park) is by there too. If you asked me if I stayed again, I probably not, just went on a sudden trip for the weekend, there was nowhere else cheaper to be found.
I highly recommend the hotel Iberia. I was recently forced to stay in San Juan, because my wife was in hospital. Christopher and his team did everything they could to ease my situation. It is a very affordable and nice place to stay.
1 night stay and the hotel was having older spanish arch. some furnitures were little old but overall good experience. parking is a bit limited though but that is because it's situated very close to downtown.
Stayed at this hotel because my family and I needed a place to stay after our cruise for a day before our flight. Upon entering the hotel one of the guest told us make sure we don't get room 217 because it was awful. At check in I told the front desk clerk to make sure we didn't get that room so he put us in room 208. One of the bed had a dirty blanket but since they were 2 beds my husband told me not to make a big deal out of it. My husband took a nap on what we thought was a clean bed. Later on we took of the bed scarf off and found blood on the covers hidden by the bed scarf. When we further inspect the blanket there was also blood on the edge of the the blanket. At that point I was extremely disgusted and decide to check out and complaint to the front desk clerk . He told me he was willing to give me another room but not a refund. Staying at the airport until our flight seem like the better option than staying at this filthy hotel.…
DO NOT STAY HERE! I know you get what you pay for but seriously this place should not even be offered by travel sites for safety reasons. NO LOCKS on interior of room. Single women beware the guys that are running this place are not friendly. Green nasal discharge stuck to pillow. Checked for bed bugs and sheets, mattress protector, and bed were filthy. BLACK MOLD. Growing on Wall and window sill. Had to use emergency inhaler in the 30 minutes we were there. When we told them we couldn't stay and wanted our money back they told us to reach out to who we bookes through which was booking.com. They only offered us half our money back. Never again.
Staff couldn't be more helpful and kind. Location excellent. Walking distance to beach and right next to a very nice supermarket with deli containing traditional island food with low prices. Also any kind of food and produce you could hope for. I look forward to returning. Debra Santiago
We have stayed in this hotel twice and it's become our go to spot. The people are so nice and the old architecture and decor is so so serene. The location is perfect for enjoying San Juan by foot or car. There's a 24/7 super max store and liquor store right next door that sells freshly made food in the deli which is awesome and convenient. 15 minute walk to the Stellaris Casino and art museums. The beautiful terrace loaded with plants and parrots on the 3rd floor is the perfect chill spot for enjoying a drink and smoke. This place is magical. Ignore the negative reviews. Experience it for yourself.
