Reviews Summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.
Powered by AI
The Caribe Hilton Hotel enjoys a prime location cherished by guests for its proximity to pristine beaches and local dining options. However, the allure of its beautiful grounds and ocean vistas is somewhat diminished by concerns over the outdated rooms and occasional maintenance issues. While the staff is often praised for their friendliness, service can be slow, particularly at breakfast. Cleanliness generally meets expectations, but some visitors have encountered housekeeping inconsistencies. Guests caution that the hotel's value is diminished by high prices and additional fees that don't necessarily align with the quality of their stay.

The best swim up pool bar with amazing service. The bartenders, especially Hiram, was delightful to be around. It was an absolutely amazing experience being able to come to such a great location. Despite only be able to enjoy the pool after work hours, it was fantastic! Great Stay!!

Hotel's Favorite
We've stayed here many times over the years, and it's truly an iconic property. But what really makes us return is the staff and the level of service they provide. A few standouts are Miguel the waiter in the lobby bar, Arlene, Ninoshka, and Justin at the pool and beach, Hector at valet, and Efraim the waiter at the breakfast restaurant. All of the staff is consistently excellent, but these people go over and above.

The pool bar was incredible! Our server, Hiram, was very attentive and served us lots of great drinks! He was so energized and talked to us about Puerto Rico and its history! My mom and I would leave and come back and he would always come to us and ask if we needed anything.

I recently stayed here for my birthday! We declined room service upon returning back to our room seen it had been cleaned anyways. That's when I realized my perfume I just received from my boyfriend was missing from off the tv stand. The box and bottle were both gone. $190 bottle of perfume. This has completely ruined my experience with Hilton. To have something taken when your out celebrating your birthday after spending good money to stay here.I will never return here & all that was done was a written statement and told they will investigate. Of course I had to fly back home and because I didn't feel like my complaint were taken seriously I reach out to corporate.

The grounds of the hotel are beautiful and because there is so much to do it never feels crowded. The pools and beach area are amazing for any age. We loved our stay at the caribe Hilton and look forward to returning. Not only is this place beautiful but the staff members are friendly and respectful. Hiram, at the pool bar, goes above and beyond. He greets everyone with a smile and makes them feel welcome. He also makes a perfect mojito! He is the reason we went back to the pool bar every day.

Worst check in process imaginable. Moved everyone to one line. Lazy. Why pay all of this $$? Also rude. There must be 50 of us in line. Will never come here again. Avoid at all costs. Someone just fainted in line. Looking for a different hotel now.

Booked this room for a few nights stay prior to our cruise. Had room #2065, top floor, in the Wave Tower. I was told one of the best rooms in the complex, and for the view i would agree. I would highly recommend the wave tower and then pay the $50 a night upper floor upgrade when prompted by email about a week after you book. Also use your Hilton honors app to select the exact room you want the day before you arrive. My initial room provided to me by the hotel was not ocean facing view like the room I had booked on the reservation. I was able discover this using the app and correct the day prior to arrival. I called, and even though the staff told me their were no other rooms I could change to, I asked for them to put in a request for me to change. After I called they made a note as requested, and within 5min after the call my app showed an improved room selection. I locked in that room using the app. If you do lock in a room after a 'change' like i did, do not immediately use the app to get a digital room key, as it will be for the prior selected room and not the one you locked in. What kept me from indicating a 5 star rating is that i am aware that other buildings in the complex do have some quality issues as you may have read from other reviews. My parents had one that had quality issues as they stayed in another building. The rooms are dated as mentioned in reviews, but not terrible, but as of Feb 2024 Hilton has this hotel up for sale, so I can only imagine not much will be invested in the hotel since it's for sale. The grounds and beach are really where this hotel shines. The beach is amazing and the pool area wonderful. Meals, we had in room dining, Mortons steak house, and the Mojito restaurant. In room dining for breakfast was quite good. Mortons I would recommend getting there right when they open at 5pm and have your dinner in the bar, they have Windows with great views facing the sea, where the 'restaurant' portion does not and feels dark. Mojitos restaurant we really liked our meal and believed it was one of the top meals we had on our trip. We had Carne asada with the mamposteao rice.

I am shocked to see this hotel has as many stars as it does. It’s a 3 star hotel. Period. The service is very hit or miss.. some staff is friendly, others are down right rude. The pool is cold, not heated. Rooms are nice. Beds are nice. Would not come back.

We love the Caribe Hilton, and stay here whenever we’re in Puerto Rico. The service is wonderful and the place is beautiful. I love sitting on my balcony taking in the gorgeous view. We always end our vacation knowing that we will definitely be back and looking forward to our next visit.

My wife and I had a wonderful 5 night stay at the Caribe Hilton, my 4th time there over thirty years. Although showing its age in spots, the Caribe Hilton has a wonderful beach with a barrier reef which was fun to snorkle (saw lion fish, cuttlefish, numerous large conch, flounder, as well as tons of other beautiful fish). The pools and beach area are big enough that you don't feel crowded and the views of the ocean crashing on the rocks was wonderful. Also, the breakfast buffet was great.
