I stayed in the garden suite on the first floor. The first night we arrived we discovered that the lock to the outside patio did not work, the bolt was off the wall, and the a/c sensor did not work so I could not turn it on because the system thought the door was always open. Thus, anyone could walk into our bedroom from the outside while we slept. Upon calling the technician and waiting for 45 minutes I went to the manager who wanted to wait until the morning to fix it and offered no solution other than waiting . The technician finally came(very nice guy) and fixed it. The patio itself was a mess from the previous guests with clothes still on the floor. The “garden” was unfinished and had fake noises playing through the speakers at night. Food was average and the pina coladas that were so hyped up were also just average at best. For over $4,000 I recommend you go somewhere else. Poor management and no attention. Hotel staff was very nice though.

Hotel's Favorite
We've stayed here many times over the years, and it's truly an iconic property. But what really makes us return is the staff and the level of service they provide. A few standouts are Miguel the waiter in the lobby bar, Arlene, Ninoshka, and Justin at the pool and beach, Hector at valet, and Efraim the waiter at the breakfast restaurant. All of the staff is consistently excellent, but these people go over and above.

Lovely oceanfront resort in San Juan. This classic hotel has a large open atrium with stunning grounds, convenient to both the airport and cruise port. , Our room was large, well appointed, with a great ocean view from the well maintained Wave wing. Color scheme of teal, white, light grey and taupe appeared fresh. As we are Hilton Honors Diamond members, they included a continental breakfast that offers cheeses, meats, fruits, salads, and other cold breakfast items. There are macaws, a peacock, and a koi fish pond on the property with a huge tropical garden, several pools and evening live local music.

We planned to end our Caribbean cruise with an extra two-night stay in the Caribe Hilton hotel in San Juan, organized and paid for via Viking. On arrival, it looked good but when you go to the pool and beach side it is a let down. Dirty and poorly maintained seating and lounges are all set in dried-out gardens. The beach! Well if you were happy to walk through ten-inch high dried seaweed you could have the beach all to yourself...... Breakfast is included. You que for up to thirty minutes and when in the breakfast lounge you are faced by what is possibly the worst quality, unappealing, greasy breakfast buffet I have ever seen in a £500 a night hotel. I have had much better in a Travel Lodge. The rooms are spacious but barren. I could not wait to get out of the hotel as it was depressing. This is not just our opinion. I spoke with two other couples who thought the same. We did eat in the restaurant one night and the food was good but expensive. $250.00 for a main course and a bottle of wine.

Great amenities and fun beach! Loved the pool attached to the bar. Lunch spot by the pool he great fish tacos and ceviche. Would recommend during this windy season since beach has a man made rock wall protecting swim area from harsh waves.

Undoubtedly the BEST FACIAL I have ever experienced. Ask for MARTHA! She is very knowledgeable, professional, thorough and patient. You will feel and look like a million bucks after and you will whole heartedly believe it was worth every cent. Truly! If I could fly down to Puerto Rico monthly, just for a facial from Martha, I would! Thank you Martha, you ARE the BEST!!!

If you don't enjoy yourself at the Caribe Hilton, then there is something wrong with you! Nothing is perfect, even on vacation. The amazing ocean views and well-maintained grounds outweigh some of the comments about umbrellas and cool pool temperatures. We had a beautiful room facing the beach, and our floor was quiet. The history of the hotel is also interesting, and the open-air lobby is cool. The beach is protected by a rock barrier so it's very calm and swimmable. There was a constant ocean breeze. We found the staff mostly friendly. My only ok experience was with the food. There are several restaurants onsite, but for me, they were mediocre and expensive. I am usually ok with spending more money on food while on vacation, but I hope to have a great dining/culinary experience, but that was not the case. You are a short uber ride from OSJ and the Condado strip where there are a lot of good restaurants.

Beautiful resort! Staff was very friendly. Plenty of inexpensive Uber Rides to old San Juan. Our pool bartender, Hiram Avilla was fantastic! Made us feel welcome, remembered who we were, made recommendations of things to do in San Juan. Cannot say enough good things about him! Made the trip much more enjoyable

I stayed here for my 30th bday from March 18-20 3 nights and I loved every bit of the stay, my room was the beach view and when I say it was breathtaking. I enjoyed the breakfast buffet, the swimup pool bar, the beach, the live music the restaurants etc. I will recommend this to anyone celebrating their bday or doing a family trip this the best hotel ever.
