We stayed at Dreams Miramar to connect with a cruise. This hotel reminded me of a few Motel 6's I have stayed at in the past. They did leave the light on for you. It is not fancy. If you want a clean comfortable room close to the cruise ports then this is your hotel. They offer a courtesy shuttle to the cruise terminal and our driver was very friendly. A short 8 minute walk there are good places to eat.
I booked 4 rooms for our group of 10 because the hotel is close to the Port. Hotel shuttled us to the Port. AC was inadequate. No coffee in rooms. No food nearby. Too far to walk to restaurants. Better to stay in Old San Juan. Would not stay here again.
Our stay was unpleasant. The room floor was slippery and sandy like it wasn't properly clean. The bathroom was uncleaned. There was pee stain around the toilet. The hotel advised that we reuse the towels to safe energy. When we requested for new towels we didn't get it even though we had spend more than 5 days in the hotel. Cleaning wasn't done regularly even when requested..During our entire stay it was done the last day before our departure...They took 200.00 as security deposit and told me it will be refunded the day we check out. It's been more than 3 weeks , my money hasn't been refunded.
I made a last minute reservation at Dreams Hotel Miramar. Because of the low price for a room I was not expecting luxurious accommodations. The good points first... the room was clean and updated, the parking was free, hallways were quiet and the bed was very comfortable. My only complaints were that the towels needed to be replaced as they were thread bare and I was unable to take a hot, or warm, shower. I ended up leaving earlier than I had planned because hot water is an absolute must. When I complained to the front desk I was told that I should try to shower at another time because the hotel runs out of hot water. Needless to say even when I tried at a later time the water was still cold. Unfortunately, because of the lack of hot water I won't be staying there again.
My Family and I had terrible service and got misleading information. We made a reservation online and were told we can have 7 people for our 2 rooms, but upon arrival was told we were only allowed 1 adult and 2 Kids to a room. As we were unable to bring in the last child, they left us helpless, and searching for a place to sleep tonight. That is not how you run a business if you ask me.
We decided to stay at this property as it was close to cruise port and they included free shuttle service to the ship. Room was clean, beds were comfortable, and had a small refrig, but noisy. You could hear every sound made in the hallways and the sound echos like an empty office building. Was hard to keep light from entering thru the windows. This place reminded me of an old office building that they took out the office furniture and put in beds.
We stayed at this hotel the day before (March 7, 2020) went on a cruise leaving and was scheduled to return March 15, 2020 and stay overnight at the samehotel. While there, the service was spotty and the reported owner/manager also cleaned the rooms and was thus difficult to contact to deal with any issues. Because of the coronavirus our cruise ship was denied entry into Pureto Rico and redirected to Florida. We made reservations and paid to stay at Dreams hotel on March 15, 2020. Upon returning to the states, we contacted Celina, the reported owner, to inform of the situation. The owner refused to refund our money and instead offered a credit for a future stay at the hotel and indicated that we should have given her advance notice of not returning there. We were not informed of the refusal until March 15 around 8am. While the rooms were cleaned and well kept, she kept our money for a room we did not use. Be very careful when making reservations there, because the owner will not work with you if any changes come up. …
This is a Mom/Pop run hotel. About $21 taxi from SJU airport. Ours was $23, due to extra luggage. SJU has rates printed on your own sheet before you get taxi. If you are reading people with a bad review, then they were expecting a Marriott, perhaps? It's an older building, rehabbed. Very clean. Some morning snacks, nothing to fancy. Vending machines. That said, comfortable, often half the price of other hotels in the area. We were there one night for cruise. Went to a Yelp rated restaurant, and asked girl at desk for recommendation and she said that was a great place. Two blocks. Next morning, owner and wife arranged and transported close to 20 couples to two different ships in port. Refused tips, free shuttle, very nice and honest people. Back to rooms, comfortable, Dish Network, smaller TV. Bed was fine, bathroom adequate. If you are going to stay a week for beach, then you might want more, but at this price, I was pleased as can be! They left out cereal, milk, coffee, Sam's Club pastries, and fruit in the morning, no charge. Tides us over until boarding ship. Would stay again. Other nice restaurants within 3 to 4 blocks. 02.22.2020…
Booked the Dreams Hotel Miramar for one night prior to a cruise. Good location. Room was basic and decent for the price. We had five in our room. Hot water was good. Towels very thin and some had holes in them. Room was air conditioned. Walked to a place close by for breakfast. Hotel provided a shuttle to The ship on Sunday morning...just had to put name on list and wait turn.
This is a decent hotel to stay at before your cruise. As many attest to, it has all of the basic stuff. The beds weren’t extremely uncomfortable but I found myself shifting positions a lot. AC works fine. Noise was fine until the morning it felt like I had every car that went down the street in my room with me and the noise of doors opening and closing made it feel like someone kept walking into our room. But!!! It’s very clean and well maintained. You can walk down the block to an AMAZING food truck at a 24/7 continence store too.
