Well-located, with a estaurant that is half indoor w/ A/C and half on the beach; very attractive, with nice, attentive staff.

All in all, my wife and I really enjoyed our stay here. After searching for beachfront hotels in nearby Condado, I was really discouraged. The rates were outrageous! But, luckily, I discovered Numero Uno, thanks to positive reviews on TripAdvisor. So, instead of paying upwards of $250 a night--plus exorbitant "resort" fees--I was able to book at Numero Uno in...

We has split stays at this hotel bookending our cruise out of San Juan. The first 2 nights we spent in a smaller apartment in the main house. This room is smaller, but you basically stumble onto the beach after you open the door. Can't complain too much about that. For the last night after our cruise, we stayed in...

I recently stayed at Apartment 17 located like 1 minute away from the beach. This seems for other people a terrible thing... but come on its just right there and I never had any issues with the water or the electricity. I went with my husband and my 2 kids for a whole week, the apartment was gorgeous, really modern,...

We stayed at Numero Uno before we picked up our cruise and then again afterwards. It is right on the beach, breakfast is eaten on the sand facing the beautiful ocean. The staff at this guest house cannot do enough for you. They have only 11 rooms so have the time to look after each guest personally. Milton, the manager...

Let's put it this way . . . if you require TONS of SERVICES and AMENITIES around the clock; if you expect big fancy suites to have a family reunion or "girlfriend weekend" parties; if you usually stay in sterile, non-descript-suites or chain hotels; do yourself a favor-- do NOT stay at "Numero Uno" or anywhere in Ocean Park. We were looking forward to our stay at Numero Uno because of the great reviews in Frommers and Lonely Planet. However, none of the books mentioned that there are actually 2 buildings. To our surprise we actually had a room across the street in another building away from the main hotel. They did not tell us this when we were...

We stayed here the last 3 days of our trip to Puerto Rico (Dec. 31 – Jan. 3 2010). It was a nice change of pace after staying at the bigger resorts. We previously stayed at the Hilton Caribe. However, I don’t think the location and the nice beach across the street justified what we had to go through. We...

We stayed here on Monday December 7 after a 10 night cruise. We had a surprisingly large ocean view room. While not fancy it was very clean and quite. I would have loved to open the windows at night so I could hear the waves but there were no screen and we had already had to deal with a few...
