I don't like to stay in run of the mill hotels on vacation and this hotel fits up perfectly. It's located in Old San Juan, up by the fort and is just a few short blocks from the port. Parking is difficult to say the least, but we did manage to find a parking garage a couple blocks away. The...

After flying all day to Puerto Rico I was prepared for almost anything, being our first trip to the island we didn't know what to expect. Our experience was brief but pleasant. Be prepared for unique accommodations, the room was on the top floor up a spiral staircase making lugging our luggage up to the room near impossible, the staff...

Quirky, eccentric hotel, filled with curios from the owner's travels and her art (sculptures) and the art of others. Centrally located (take an Uber from the airport, much cheaper than a taxi). Friendly and polite staff. A/C worked fine. Rooms also have dehumidifiers (though remember to empty them before you go to sleep; when they fill with water they emit...

The hotel is very well located, 5 min away from the old fort, at the heart of Old San Juan. It is also decorated in a very artsy fashion, which makes it lovely to visit, like one would visit a museum. Sleeping in there is another matter. We had a room in a basement with no windows, damp, smelly, old...

Located in Old San Juan it is a quick walk to all the stuff to see and places to eat in Old San Juan. Very unique hotel (and old) hotel so you need to know that going in. We had to go up a small circular stair case to get to our room so if you were physically challenged it...

We heard piano music drifting through a blue bricked street in Old San Juan and fell into another world. We got a glass of wine and were encouraged to look around. We found a lovely garden and decided to sit and relax and take in all the sculptures, art, ferns, orchids, birds and lights. Soon I realized this was not simply...

What a treat this place was. Why stay in a boring old chain hotel when you can wander and delight in this Old San Juan treasure. I think I want to be an innkeeper when I grow up after being here! Nook and crannies to explore, interesting people, great location. This place has it all. We stayed for one night...

The gallery inn sounded stunning as we were looking at the pictures- old building, artwork, and a swimming pool. When we arrived we were pleased to see the owner there who told us some background and good spots to eat and visit during our stay in Old San Juan. We were fitting 4 people in our room and according to the...

We visited the Gallery Inn for the fourth time in 7 years, but things have degraded to the point that we will never go again or every recommended it again, which we have done often. The most prominent issue is the new Parking policy...I was treated like a criminal for having a rental car which we had been using for...

Thank you so for writing to us, because it gives me a forum to address the new parking regulations in old san juan. As of January this year very strict parking restrictions have been initiated for the old city enacting a severe fine, which has affected all of us. It is true that street parking will cost a $250 fine....

This was an awesome place to stay if you want an Inn with character and old world charm. So much to see at this place. Artwork, sculptures and culture everywhere! Friendly staff who are willing to please. This inn is not for the person who is looking for a 4 star hotel though. The rooms are very rustic. If you...
