This hotel was great from the beginning to end! Ricardo at the front desk was a total professional and so helpful. This was our first visit to Puerto Rico and he was so knowledgeable of all the main attractions in the area. The room we got was a king in the first floor and the bed is very comfortable and the entire room is very clean👌🏻 The bathroom area was a little small for both us to shower together but the large king side bed made up for it. The room also has an air purifier, and ac unit, along with a little desk area if you want to get some work done ✅ Lastly the roof top terrace hot tub was perfect last night as we had it all to ourselves. Local restaurants, bars, and boutiques all walking distances along with all the historic sites. Bring the most comfortable walking shoes because there is a lot to see. Get your ice for in-room cocktails from front desk before 5pm, the ice machine is not accessible.…
We have stayed at Villa Herencia twice. Definitely get one of the sun deck suites if available. H9 has two bedrooms and a small sitting area. Relaxing on the terrace at night is great after a day of exploring PR. Villa Herencia is very quiet and clean and relaxing. Very nice open air spaces. And always smells really good, for what that’s worth. :) great location away from traffic and cruise passengers. we wouldn’t stay anywhere else in old San Juan.
This place is fantastic! A blend of Old San Juan and modern comforts. The architecture models an old hacienda, with a central atrium and rooms on 2 floors. The second floor has a sun deck complete with hot tub, personal tub-pools, and tons of lounging options surrounded by blooming flowers. Walking distance to everything... restaurants, the fort, beaches, etc. And the staff are incredibly accommodating. Need sunscreen? They have it for you. Need to store your luggage on check out day? No problem. And breakfast is included too. We will definitely be back to visit the VHH!
My husband and stayed for two nights. The place is gorgeous! Awesome location, right next to the bay. Within walking distance to nearly everything you’d want to see and also plenary of places to eat/bars. The staff was great and willing to help with anything! The only downside was the bed was a little too firm for my liking, but that’s just personal preference. I would absolutely stay here again!!
We really enjoyed this hotel and wished we were able to stay more than just one night. It was unique and charming, and although the rooms were small, it was understandable based on the history of the building. Breakfast was pretty spare but good. The rooftop area was almost magical. Our only real complaint is that since the room doors are quite thin and have slats in them, they aren't soundproofed, which was especially obvious when some hotel guests checked in at 3 AM (!!) and were rolling their suitcases all over the cobblestone floor and talking extremely loudly.
