We have visited many hotels around Jamaica that have been of world class standards but this one lets down the name of all others who are trying so hard. We arrived at The Starlight Chalet & Health Spa on February 19 after having booked a weekend on Gustazos. Gustazos offered a Discount of 62% The photos offered were similar to...

My boyfriend and I went up for 3 days. It was a very wonderful get away from the city life. It was a great way to connect and get closer without any distraction. Although there are no Tv in the rooms it felt great to fall asleep to complete quietness and waking up to the birds, the beautiful mountain view...

Starlight Chalet is a wonderful place to relax and watch many of the beautiful endemic Jamaican birds, including the Red-tailed Streamertails, Banana-quit, Jamaican King birds and many others. We visited with Ricardo Miller, and amazing Jamaican bird guide. The local Jamaican cuisine served at Starlight is delicious and beautifully presented.

I was somewhat concerned as they did not have a machine to process charges; however, having lived in Jamaica off/on for years, this was accommodated. There was a flaw but it was worked out - - - and for that their integrity is appreciated. Dinner was excellent. Beef roast , I recall. Please realize, you are up in an area...

I wish someone had told me just how cold the Blue Mountain could get. As luck would have it I booked my day trip during a cold front. At one point, as the vehicle struggled up and up, it was as though we were driving through clouds. The cold was piercing outside... so much so that I passed on the...

Very nice place in a very nice location. Food is ample and good. They work very hard to prepare what will please you. Only negative is that they try to "save" money by turning off the hot water. Visitors usually do NOT appreciate taking a cold shower, esp in the mountains! This was my husband's favorite place to stay on...

I went here for brunch so I did not have the full hotel experience, however, I do believe I can give you some insight on the place. The place takes a while to get to, but if you are accustomed to driving long distances it's not that far, it's about one hour from Devon house in Kingston. I would take...

This is a place hard to reach but with very nice views. It appears to have been a very nice place 10 years ago, now it misses some renovations ( see picture where some glasses were missing in our room window). No hot water when we arrived but the next morning it was available. Both the chef and the lady...

Great grounds, great service and peaceful surroundings. It does take a while to get there, but it is well worth it. My only bit of advice, make sure you have all you need, it is one of those places way off the beaten track.
